Dr. Russell Toppi completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst before attending Tufts University School of Dentistry, where he received his D.M.D. in 1992. Four years later, Dr. Toppi completed his orthodontic residency at Columbia University.In practice for20 years, Dr. Toppi stays abreast of the latest advances in orthodontics with memberships in the San Diego County Dental Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the San Diego Academy of Orthodontists where he served as president in 2006.Board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Toppi is married with two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys running.
After graduating from Concord University in 2017 to be a registered dental assistant,Christina joined the team in 2020. After falling in love with the positive atmosphere the office gives, Christina always strives for the best for the patients and makes sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face. When she is not working, Christina loves to spend time with her dog Oggie and her cat Milo and hang out at the beach.
Kim joined the team in late 2020. Growing up with her grandfather being a dentist and sister being a dental hygenist, following in the family footsteps was inevitable. Always trying to make sure the patients and parents have a smooth sailing schedule for regular adjustments, Kim is always finding ways to make the office and patients schedules run smooth and have people leave smiling. When not at work, Kim enjoys going to Disneyland as a annual passholder as well as staying home and enjoying netflix movies.
After attending UEI College for dental, Jen started working initially for Dr. Russell Toppi's brother Dr. Dave Toppi who is a pediatric dentist. Once realizing she wanted to move towards orthodontics, Jen found her fit by joining Dr. Russell Toppi's team in 2021 and loved everything about it from the team to the patients. In Jen's free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and playing the guitar.
Nikole joined Dr. Toppi's team in 2019 and started off as the treatment coordinator. After finding her fit as the insurance coordinator, Nikole always goes above and beyond to help Dr. Toppi and the patients make sure insurance is up to date as well as day to day financials are organized and up to date. In her off time, Nikole enjoys spending time with her cats Dolly and Dandy as well as going out to eat with her boyfriend Eric.
Once joining the team in late 2021, Shayla fit in like a glove by helping Dr. Toppi and the patients with whatever they need. Shayla graduated school in 2018 and knew from the start she wanted to be in the dental field and help patients feel better with their smile. On her off days, Shayla enjoys watching movies and going to the beach.
