Dr. Brian H. Chan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and graduated from the Loma Linda School of Dentistry at the top of his clinical class. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society. Coming from a family of dentists, Dr. Chan believes that he was born to practice dentistry and absolutely loves the profession. He has spent significant time at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry learning from some of the top clinicians in the country and is an avid reader of dental journals and periodicals. He has also enjoyed providing free dentistry to underserved communities in dental mission trips to Honduras, Nicaragua, and Jamaica.
Outside of his profession, Dr. Chan has been attending Lighthouse Bible Church for over 17 years and is one of the pianists at the church. He enjoys listening to old school jazz, church sermons, and dental lectures in his spare time. Dr. Chan is also a family man who loves spending time at home with his loved ones. He and his lovely wife, Beverly, have two young sons and two young daughters.
Andrea has been in the dental field since 2003. She is a certified dental assistant but has spent a majority of her career in administration. She loves living in Ramona and enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter.
Sonja began her career as a registered dental assistant before transitioning to administration, and is now our office manager. She has been working in our office for over 15 years and thoroughly enjoys interacting with people. She loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, and creating stained glass art.
Jessica is our registered dental assistant and has worked alongside Dr. Chan since 2009. She is a San Diego native (born and raised). She loves spending time with her husband and brand new baby boy enjoying all the fun outdoor activities that beautiful San Diego has to offer.
Kelly started her dental career in the United States Navy as a dental technician. She continued her education and received her hygiene degree at Cypress College. Kelly resides in Escondido with her husband and 3 daughters. She has been working in the San Diego area for almost 20 years!
Julie started her hygiene career at Cerritos College and has continued her hygiene career here in San Diego for the past 14 years. She loves spending time with her husband and 3 children and considers herself an enthusiastic Lacrosse-mom!

I had two veneers with another dentist; I was not happy with the final results; the shape of the teeth looked odd, and the veneers fell after one month while flossing. I was looking for a good dentist to replace the veneers and hoping that the new veneers will blend with the rest of my teeth. I found Doctor Brian great reviews on google, so I decided to go and check if he would fix my veneers. I was impressed how everyone was nice including the receptionists, and dental hygienist Miguel. Doctor Brian listened attentively to my concern, and with the use if his high tech tools he made two veneers that matches the rest of my natural teeth. Doctor Brian and his hygienist were very talented and quick, and in two hours they put the new veneers on my teeth!!! What I liked most is that Doctor Brian let me choose the shape of the teeth and asked me to go back for some changes if I think I need touch up. 5 STARS for all the wonderful stuff!!!

I left my last dentist because I, unfortunately, had a bad experience with them while being pregnant..... So I turned to YELP and, FORTUNATELY, found Classic Dental Smiles. First, they have one of the MOST FRIENDLIEST STAFF EVER!!! I'm not kidding when I say that. They actually get to know their patients which brings you a sense of warmth from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. As a business owner myself, I know the importance of customer service, and they knock it out of the park. In addition, I've had some work done by them, and wow, what a difference compared to my past dentists. From how they take the time to explain EVERYTHING and make sure you understand what they will be doing, to their efficiency in making sure the procedure is done well and painlessly. Lastly, the comfort level I had during my visits was unparalleled. I've never had such an enjoyable time at the dentist than I've had with them. Can anyone really say they've enjoyed going to the dentist?! Well I CAN AND I DID! I am thrilled that I've found them and now my husband goes to Classic Dental Smiles as well :D If I could give them more stars, I would! But until then, 5 STARS FOR CLASSIC DENTAL SMILES!!!!

I recently moved to San Diego and needed to find a reliable, trustworthy dentist. Dr. Chan and his staff are just that! From my cleaning to the following procedure, Dr. Chan listened to my concerns and treated me based on my individual needs and requests. He is very comprehensive in his initial assessment of your teeth/mouth and uses the newest technology. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist in the San Diego area.

Dr. Chan has been my dentist for three years now and he's been nothing short of detailed and professional. My first visit with him he did a detailed overview of each tooth and explained to me what the x-rays meant, things to lookout for, and what to improve on. I've been going to dentist/checkups my entire life and no one has been as thorough as he has. Usually I'm nervous for any kind of dentist work but I trust Classic Dental Smiles (they've taken out my wisdom tooth and replaced several fillings). Lastly, the staff is very kind and accommodating and always make me feel welcome. The hygienists are all friendly/professional as well. Overall great place!

Dr. Chan and his office are a great team! Extremely competent, professional, and friendly. I've lived in a number of different states, have been seen by several different dental offices, and this office is top tier. I highly recommend Dr. Chan and his team to anyone in the area.

There aren't enough stars on Google for Dr. Chan at Classic Dental Smiles and his staff. I have been going to Dr. Chan for almost a year now and he has made the experience of going to the dentist so much easier and more pleasant than any other dentist I've ever been to. He is beyond competent, professional, very caring and will always take the time to listen to me during my visits. I never feel rushed out of our appointments. I also have never had to wait for a long time after my scheduled appointment to be seen. His dental assistants (Jessica and Miguel) are equally as professional and caring. The front desk staff (both Andrea's and Karen) always greet me with a smile and make me feel like family. (That sounds cheesy, but it's no joke!) I've had my teeth cleaned by both Kelly and Julie and they have the magic touch that makes having my teeth cleaned as painless as possible. Along with all of this, Dr. Chan truly goes the extra mile by checking in with me the evening after any procedure. He responds to my emails in the evening time and makes sure to fit me in if I have any issues that need taken care of. Do yourself a favor and check out Dr. Chan and his staff at Classic Dental Smiles. They are true stars and shine brighter than any dentist's office I've ever been to.

Happy I found a great dentistry after moving to San Diego. All of the staff are very friendly. Dr. Chan makes sure I have a safe dental procedure. They gave me advice on how to clean my teeth better. Glad to have had this place recommended to me.

Dr. Chan and all of his hygienists have been amazing, and this is coming from someone who has hated going to the dentist since childhood. His hygienists are professional, thorough, and competent along with being some of the nicest people. The office is clean and equipped with the latest high tech gear. But what I appreciate the most is Dr. Chan's attention to detail and his honesty. I have lots of dental issues, but Dr. Chan always tells me what needs to be done now, what can wait and checks in to make sure the work he did is holding up.

Dr. Chan and his staff are very high quality professionals!! I find Dr. Chan to not only offer the very latest in technology but also implements everything possible to make what dental work you need to be accomplished as comfortably and quickly as possible. I am new to the area and this is very important to my husband and I to have found the best dentist to walk with us in the years to come. The results of my first 'tricky' filling are proof we found the right ONE! ** He is also kind and calls you by name !! :))

The entire staff at Classic Dental Smiles and Dr Brian are very professional. Dr Brian explains ones situation in a very simple and understanding manner. He does not push you for any unnecessary treatments unless you ask about it. So far I am very happy with all the work he has done on my teeth. Definitely will recommend to my friends.

Very happy to have found Dr. Chan & can't recommend him enough. After my initial visit, his staff had a printout of the work I needed done showing what my insurance would cover & what I would need to pay out of pocket which was very helpful. I have terrible anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and Dr. Chan & his staff are extremely understanding and supportive of that. Dr. Chan does a wonderful job of making sure you're aware of everything that is going on and making sure you're okay throughout any procedure. I did end up needing two urgent visits for fillings - he & his staff were quick to get me in as soon as possible which was very much appreciated. Still not a big fan of going to the dentist but it's not as bad going to see Dr. Chan!

Dr. Chan and his staff are great team, organized, very efficient in reminding appointment, and caring. Also, you don't have to wait forever in the waiting room. Additionally, Dr. Chan is very knowledgeable, does a great job in explaining the procedures, polite, gentle, and not too pushy about treatment plan because he still leaves the ultimate decisions to me. I usually don't leave a review but this place is great. Everybody in the office is very nice, friendly and love their job. DR Chan is a great specialist, if you are looking for a reliable dentist I would definitely recommend DR Chan!
