Welcome to Clarkson Dental Group, the Chesterfield, MO dental practice of Dr. Scott Mahlin and his team. We have been providing state-of-the-art dental care to St. Louis and West County for over 30 years. Chesterfield native Dr. Scott Mahlin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Louis University. He went on to earn a DDS at the University of Missouri at Kansas City; he did a sedation residency at the University of Alabama. His continuing education includes:
About his work, Dr. Mahlin says, I understand that dental care is a very personal issue, and every patient has chosen us as their family dentist for reasons that are important to them. We promise to strive to always be our best and ultimately earn lifetime trust. We love building relationships and treat everyone as part of the Clarkson Dental Group family.
Outside the practice, Dr. Mahlin enjoys spending time with his family, taking walks, dining out, and staying active. Patients are likely to spot him walking around town or enjoying a meal at one of the many local restaurants.
With Clarkson Dental Group since 2016, Caleb enjoys being part of a team that makes a difference in peoples lives. He says, The relationships we build with our patients are incredible, and we truly do treat everyone as if they were a family member.
When hes not working, this St. Louis native enjoys fishing, swimming, and spending time with his wife and two children. These Cardinals fans love attending games downtown as well as visiting the St. Louis Zoo.
Kim, a St. Louis native, has been with Clarkson Dental Group since receiving her Top of the Class in Dental Hygiene Award in 2005. She received her training in both general studies and dental hygiene from Saint Louis Community College Forest Park. Kim feels blessed to work for such an amazing dentist and a fantastic team, citing their patient-centered custom care as a source of pride.
Originally from Wentzville, Nikki has been working at Clarkson Dental Group since 2017. She received her training at Saint Louis Community College Forest Park, graduating on the deans list with highest academic honors.
She enjoys educating patients on the latest dental health studies and information, as well as getting to know them individually. Nikki feels fortunate to work for such an amazing doctor and team who are kind and caring to everyone. She is honored to be part of an office that prioritizes quality work, treating patients like part of the family.
This St. Louis native has been with Clarkson Dental Group for 14 years, where she loves working with the amazing patients and team. Pat went to Saint Louis Community College Forest Park for dental assistant training.
Kasey became a CDA in 2013 and has continued her dedication to the dental field. She takes great pleasure in assisting with patient care and making sure every patient is well informed and educated for their dental procedures and overall oral health. Kasey is a St. Louis native and enjoys spending lots of her free time with her family.
Lynne grew up in the Ballwin/Chesterfield area. She has been in dentistry for over 40 years. Ten years ago she moved to the country so she could pursue her dream of having a petting zoo. She has raised nigerian dwarf goats, turkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. I enjoy reading, gardening, baking, crafts and spending time with family and friends.

I have been a client for a very long time and I have never been disappointed. Everyone is very professional and kind. They put me at ease which is not always easy to do. I have also taken advantage of the sedation dentistry when l needed some crowns and it worked perfectly. I would highly recommend Dr. Mahlin and his staff.

What a great experience at Clarkson Dental group! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by Caleb and Lynn. They are so friendly! Pat and Casey are the best assistant's and really helped out my Dental Hygientist Nikki. My 3 year old was having a hard time sitting still after her exam. My family usually sees Kim and Nikki to get our teeth cleaned at the same time and those two are gentle and thorough and help to relieve my 11 year olds anxiety. Dr. Mahlin has the best bed side manner and is always shocked to see how big the kids are getting. Thank you so much for taking care of my families teeth and gums today!!!

The staff is always friendly and make you feel comfortable. I have always dreaded having my teeth cleaned in the past, but they are very gentile here. I could almost go to sleep in that chair.

I am not one to post reviews, but would like to share how disappointed I am with this practice. The hygienist are very good which is why I stayed there for as long as I did, but the office manager could care less about retaining loyal clients. I had to cancel last minute due to my two year old daughter being sick and not having a babysitter so was immediately dropped as a client. When I tried to reschedule none of my voicemails were ever returned. I also lost out on a few hundred dollars by doing their insurance program since I never got the opportunity to schedule my second cleaning for the year. You pay every month (nonrefundable) for this program to get a discount on services. Be aware of this before signing up. Very disappointed in their policies and also lack of human decency.

Dr Scott Mahlin is great! Seriously, I've needed crown(s), implant and just regular cleaning over the last few years. These unpleasant anxiety provoking procedures were painless. I never feel rushed through my appointment(s). His hygienist and administrative staff are wonderful too!

Have been a patient at this office for over 25 yrs even though my dental insurance wasnt always a good match for me. They are like family, going tne extra to make sure I am comfortable, all questions are addressed, my budget is considered, etc. Kim, my Hygienist, takes great care with my cleanings, always pain free and keeps my dental health needs current. Dr. Maitlin is a very gentle caring man which shows in his care of my dental health. He even calls me at home to check on me after a procedure. And Finally the folks at the front desk. They are all very kind, friendly, and knowlegable. I grade them an A++++++

Dr Scott Mahlin and his entire staff at Clarkson Dental are above and beyond what is expected in patient care. Dr Mahlin calls that night after a procedure is done by him in his office that day. He has great concern for the well being of his patients and it shows. Dr Mahlin is an asset to Chesterfield, MO. My visit for X-Rays and teeth cleaning today was great. I have had oral cancer and my mouth is kinda a mess. Kim did a great job keeping me from having vertigo. That is an issue I suffer from also. Everyone at Clarkson Dental are wonderful people. As always Dr. Mahlin always takes time to talk about my visit and the condition of my teeth. I never feel hurried. It is a pleasure seeing everyone when I go there. Many thanks to all of them. I had a cleaning on April 4th and as always it was a great experience. I have issues with vertigo but both Kim and Dr. Mahlin kept me from having an episode. Yes, it means more effort on their part. They are such caring people. Many thanks. Kay Today is 10-03-2022 & I had my teeth cleaned at Clarkson Dental. As always, Kim did a great job on getting my teeth clean. She is always concerned about my vertigo & did a wonderful job keeping me from having an attack. So very nice of her. Also when Dr. Mahlin checks my teeth he is also concerned about my vertigo.
