Dr. David M. Clark received his Bachelor, Biology and Neuroscience Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and received specialty training in oral, facial and implant surgery during his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In addition, he has had extensive training in the administration of general anesthesia and intravenous sedation. For almost twenty years, Dr. Clark has provided his patients with the most modern advancements in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, TMJ surgery, oral pathology, facial trauma and orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Clark is part time faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Pennsylvania Dental Association.

Dr. Clark has Extensive Training and Experience in the Control of Pain and Anxiety. The ability to provide patients with safe, effective outpatient anesthesia has distinguished the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery since its earliest days. As the surgical specialists of the dental profession, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are trained in all aspects of anesthesia administration. Following dental school, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons complete at least four years of training in a hospital-based surgical residency program alongside medical residents in general surgery, anesthesia and other specialties. During this time, OMS residents must complete a rotation on the medical anesthesiology service, during which they become competent in evaluating patients for anesthesia, delivering the anesthetic and monitoring post-anesthetic patients.

As a result of this extensive training, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are well-prepared to identify, diagnose and assess the source of pain and anxiety within the scope of their discipline, and to appropriately administer local anesthesia, all forms of sedation and general anesthesia. Further, they are experienced in airway management, endotracheal intubation, establishing and maintaining intravenous lines, and managing complications and emergencies that may arise during the administration of anesthesia.

This was not recent!!! Way before Covid-19!!!My daughter had to go here. They humiliated her by putting a net on her head saying she had head lice. She came out with her face a mess and the 2 bringing her out were laughing. We took my daughter to the E R due them getting her sick. They gave her a infection and her mouth had to be cleaned and mouth rinse with antibiotics rinse. The doctor looked in her hair for head lice he had to check because of lice. And found nothing but dandruff flakes and dirt on the scalp. There won't be a next time ever!!!!

The nurses at this facility were great & kind and made me feel comfortable. I had four impacted wisdom teeth removed back in December. Three days after surgery I broke out in a terrible fever throughout the night, and was in the emergency room on Christmas Eve due to fever and migraines I was experiencing for over a week. I called and told them I had a fever which is the first sign of infection, and the office told me to get tested for Covid because I was out of state for the week and I had a fever. So they would not see me. On Xmas eve, I found out I had a sinus infection all throughout my sinus cavities. Ruined my Christmas and went through a round of antibiotics that thankfully cleared up my sinuses. I then broke out into an ear infection which lasted about a month, had to take two rounds of antibiotics because the first round did not work, for three weeks each. This entire dreadful process of healing took about three months, and I still suffer from ear problems eight months later. I am not sure what this doctor did to me while I was under anesthesia but it leads me to believe that this entire problem was not due to just a common sinus infection that sometimes happens after wisdom teeth removal. Also, when I went back to see the doctor after taking my first round of antibiotics, he left a terrible taste in my mouth with his attitude and told me to "GET your fingers out of your mouth I hate when people do that." Which ok I understand it is not hygienic but I was just trying to point out an area that was still hurting me back near the extraction site. honestly just not the best experience and if I had better insurance I sure would've gone elsewhere. Held off on writing a review for a long while but this still bothers me to this day. If you can find somewhere else to go do it.

The staff seems nice but it annoys me how I have two wisdom teeth that need to be removed they are causing me issues and even mild pain and they can't do anything to get me an appointment to get in they are very hard to get into for an appointment I had issues three years ago because they didn't accept my insurance now they do and can't create an appointment for me I've heard great things about them I just wish I could get in to get these two removed so I can stop being in pain I've been dealing with my two wisdoms for a long time

As a cleft lip and palate patient, I couldn't trust him to work on me and I was right. After getting multiple different answers from his surgery nurse and his wanna-be-classy reception people, I knew there was something not to be trusted. And those reception people are insufferable. Clark told me my surgery should take 40-45 minutes. As a cleft lip and palate patient? For him to be so callous and unconcerned did not make a nerve-wracking situation any better. Day of surgery I walked out and was right to do so as: The surgeon I did go to said the surgery would last 90 minutes, and he got it done with multiple difficulties in 65. If Clark ran into those difficulties, he wouldn't have scheduled the right amount of time and would have most likely left teeth in my head to interfere with my upcoming dentures. As it was, I asked about a tooth that protruded in the center of my palate and he said "If I leave it, they can make the denture around it". Screw any difficulty I would have eating, talking, etc., it was more convenient for him. But Clark wouldn't care, he'd be late to go eat lunch in his truck. Guess he's that popular with his staff as well.

My experience with the staff and Dr. Clarke were well let's just say so very in cohesive... I fortunately did not have to undergo any type of oral surgery, but seeing what my daughter had to endure was so sad to see. I will give credit to the lady who checks people in she was taught manners very well all others including the dr TERRIBLE BED SIDE MANNERS.. I know how hard it is to find a dentist that excepts government but a human being who calls them self a surgeon "Board certified" whatever else he is accredited in means nothing if you don't have such a cold soul. It's extremely disappointing so to all the Dr's, surgeon's or just anyone who works in the field of medicine please go back and ask yourself this very simple question. Why did you want to enter the profession of Medicine?

I just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out and they did such a great job! I was extremely nervous since this is the first time I've gone under. Sitting in the chair was a little intimidating but the nurses talked to me before Dr.Clark came in and calmed me down. Dr.Clark did an amazing job giving the IV I barely felt anything and I was out in a few seconds. I woke up in the recovery room seconds later and felt really calm.Trust me, theres nothing to worry about.Dr.Clark is very good at what he does.

I have been dealing with bone fragments coming out of my gums from my wisdom tooth area; which is causing pain, for over a month. I was referred to Clark Oral Surgery to have them look at it. I was here for about 15 mins, spoke with the nurse and did an x-ray. And then was told I have to go to Geisinger because they do biopsy's. The Dr. didn't even take a minute to look at the wound in my mouth. I was brushed off. Now I'll have to wait about 6 more months for an appt with Geisinger. These guys are probably going to charge my insurance max they can and they didn't even do anything. Garbage

Made me wait over an hour- and I still was not seen- then when I walked out they told me that they don't work with my insurance anyways. People were nice but kind of rude.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed here. Dr. Clark was recommended by my dentist. I had awful anxiety about getting my wisdom teeth out but everything went great. Front desk staff, the nurses and Dr. Clark were all very sweet to me and I would recommend this oral surgeon to anyone.

I was told I'd need to put a $2000 deposit down, despite having insurance that would cover everything. I didn't even bother with making an appointment.

I had to have a full mouth extraction done which I was unbelievably nervous about this for numerous reasons along with previously having plates and screws in my jaw. I could honestly say him along with his staff are beyond amazing! I highly recommend Dr. Clark to everyone for anything you may be referred to them for! I can not THANK his staff enough!!!

Just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled here, didn't expect to feel nearly half as good as I do already. Mr Clark clearly knows what he is doing and he is very straight forward. Everyone was very friendly and the staff all around is great. Hopefully I don't need any more teeth pulled but if I ever do I will certainly be back. My Thanks to all you there !

I had all my wisdom teeth removed today and everything went very well. Dr. Clark and the staff were EXTREMELY nice and pleasant. They make sure you are well taken care of throughout the whole procedure. They made me feel very comfortable when I was nervous. I am very happy that they were recommended to me! 10/10 would recommend. You can tell they care about their patients and that is super important.

Got 2 wisdom teeth pulled. No problems whatsoever. Felt great after a week. Feels like I didn't even get them pulled out at all. Thanks!

I set up the appointment with them. They said everything was fine with my insurance. Then they called me back 2 weeks before my appointment and said that they couldn't take my insurance. I asked if I could pay for the consultation and the lady kept interrupting me saying "we don't take your insurance you have to call them" like okay I'm trying to explain something to you and you keep interrupting me. Why did you lie about it in the first place?
