Dr. Clark Wright is a fourth generation Floridian and a Gator. He was raised in Perrine, Florida, south of Miami. Dr. Wright attended the University of Florida where he earned both his Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Microbiology in 1974, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1978. Upon graduation, Dr. Wright was selected to participate in a sought-after General Practice Residency in Dentistry at The Veteran's Administration Hospital in Miami, FL. In 1979 he and his wife Mary selected Venice to be their home and together openedhis dental practice. Working the front desk, Mary was Dr. Wright's first employee and is still involved in the practice today. For 35+ years our practice has continued to progress, being blessed with pleasant patients and an excellent and caring staff who posess the highest values. We alwayscontinue to welcome New Patients.
Dr. Wright and his father C.B., (who retired after serving 20 years in the Marine Corps. and 20 + years as Chief of Police in West Miami, FL.), enjoyed many years of fishing and hunting together. Dr. Wright now shares these same passions with Mary and his two dear sons Clark Jr. and Austin, and also with close friends. Dr. Wright and his wifehave always recognized the importance of being involved in the community. Dr. Wright was a member of South Venice Rotary International for 25+ years. Both Dr. Wright and Mary are Paul Harris Fellows. Dr. Wright coached Little League Baseball for over 9 years, and was alsoinvolved with YMCA youth sports. He was also Chairman of Ducks Unlimited Venice-Englewood Chapter for 11 years. Dr. Wright remains active in his local Dental Society, with past service as 1st Vice President. Mary is currently active in Habitat for Humanity and Venice Area Beautification Inc.among many other volunteer organizations over the years. Both Mary and Dr. Wright attend Epiphany Cathedral Church in Venice. Michele hails from the southern part of Connecticut, halfway between New York and Rhode Island but considers herself a Floridian since she moved here in 1991. Having been in dentistry since 2006, Michele enjoys not only greeting patients at the Reception area but also guiding them through the financial options available to them as they complete their dental needs and create their new smiles! In her downtime Michele enjoys spending time with her husband Tom at local community events and restaurants as well as picnics and sunsets at the beach.
Liz emigrated from Italy in 1969 and grew up in Long Island, New York. She has lived in Florida since 1989. She attended B.O.C.E.S. Technical School in Smithtown, New York and graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant in 1981. She now enjoys her position at the front desk as a Business Assistant. Liz is very active in animal advocacy, rescue and adoption. She currently has a house full of dogs and cats! She enjoys spending time with her four-legged family, meditation, home improvement projects, and vegetarian cooking. Liz joined Dr. Wrights practice in September 2018.
Karen attended and graduated from a two-year dental assisting program during her junior and senior years of high school. She began her career right after high school and has been assisting ever since! In August 2002 Karen moved from Cleveland Ohio to sunny Florida. Shestartedworking with Dr. Wrightin 2008. When she is not working Karen enjoys cooking,reading, running an occasional 5K, and spending time with friends and family.
Jamie is originally from Long Island New York. She has lived in Florida since 1996. She is a Board Certified Dental Assistant and received her CDA from the Charlotte Technical Center in June 2007. She has been with Dr. Wright from the beginning of her dental career. Jamie has 4 children which keeps herbusy with sports, dance, and many other activities! When Jamie is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach,and CrossFit.
Becky moved to Florida from Michigan in 1984. In 1988, she received her Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy. She practiced in that field for 10 years. She then returned to school to complete her degree in Dental Hygiene, graduating from Edison College in Fort Myers in 2000. Becky joined Dr. Wright's team in March 2007. Becky lives in North Port with her husband Cliff. They have 2 daughters and one son. In her spare time Becky enjoys being outdoors, traveling, jogging, and playing the piano.
Originally from northern New Jersey and eastern Long Island New York, Jill moved to Venice in 1982. She attended Venice High School, graduating in 1986. In December 2000, Jill graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Edison College in Fort Myers. Jill was a patient of Dr. Wright's in 1992 and began working as a hygienist for him in February 2001. When Jill is not working she enjoys playing golf, fishing, escaping to the mountains in the fall, and spending time with her family, daughter Alexis and husband Brian.
Dr. Wright and his Team are CPR certified and are always up to date with continuing education classes and seminars. As a member of The Shark Tooth Study Club, Dr. Wright and his staff regularly attend local meetings.
