It is a privilege to practice orthodontics. Being an orthodontist allows me to make a positive, lasting difference for each patient, improving their quality of life by increasing their self-esteem and confidence.
After practicing for more than 30 years, I am still excited by the changes that happen during treatment. Seeing a person journey from feeling uncomfortable about their teeth to being secure in their appearancenever gets old! I feel fortunate to be part of this transformation and to watch it unfold with each patient.
I was initially drawn to dentistry and then orthodontics as the profession allows me to blend my interests in science and art to create beautiful smiles. Orthodontics allows me to serveothers in a very positive and uplifting way.
I love that I regularly see former patients around town and they greet me with bright, wonderful smiles. I love when they stop by the office, years after treatment has concluded, to share photos and stories and tell us how much they love their smile. And I particularly love that I am seeing the extended family members of former patients!
I attended Western Kentucky University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science. I enrolled inthe Indiana University School of Dentistry, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, certificate in orthodontics, and a Master of Science in dentistry.
The field of orthodontics has changed immensely since I completed my formal studies. Ongoing innovations in technologies and techniques, furthered by rigorous research, have made treatment more comfortable and timely while delivering exceptional results.
In addition to completing courses through the Indiana University School of Dentistry, I attend seminars, lectures, and conferences through local, regional, and national orthodontic and dental organizations.
A Brownstown native, I have lived in Shelbyville for more than30 years and have enjoyed raising my family here. My wifeBobbiis very active in the weekly life of our church and enjoys substitute teaching at the high school level. Bobbi and I have three wonderful adult daughtersas well as greatson-in-laws, two dogs, and two cats.
I enjoy volunteering in the community whereI live and work. I am an active member of the First United Methodist Church, where I have held various leadership positions and taught Sunday school. I also volunteeredfor many yearswith the Shelby County United Fund, where I served as professional drive chairman, drive chairman, board member, and board president.
Clark Orthodontics gives back to and supports the community, too. We sponsor many youth sports teams, numerous school athletic and extracurricular programs, and local charities. We also provide free orthodontic care to people in need through Donated Dental Services.
I have been blessed with a very talented team: each member is talented, kind, and enjoys serving our community. They love interacting with our patients and their families, bringing out smiles at each visit!
I work in our front office, where I schedule visits, answer the phones, help patients with their accounts, and answer questions. It is enjoyable to talk with patients and parents:catching up on their latest news and seeing peoples smiles change. When I joined Clark Orthodontics, everyone made me feel welcome. They do the same for each patient and family. This is a kind and giving team, and Dr. Clark really cares about each patients happiness and comfort.
Outside of work, Im usually on the move and doing something, whether Im at the gym, crafting, or experimenting with new recipes. I am family-oriented and treasure time with my loved ones, including Milo, my super-sassy and fluffy cat.
I can be found working alongside Dr. Clark with patient care and assisting with front-office duties. It is very rewarding to help people feel better about themselves and give them more confidence by improving their smiles. After being with the practice for so long, our team has really become like a family. Were all so close, and because were in a small town, its great to see our patients out and about in the community.
My work is centered in the clinic, providing chairside assistance to Dr. Clark. I help with placing and removing braces, delivering various appliances, and I tie and untie patientsas well. I appreciate how each day, every procedure, and each patient is different. I like helping to place braces and seeing the patientsexcitement at getting their teeth fixed. I enjoy seeing how each patient changes and becomes more confident as their teeth straighten. And at the end, when we remove their braces, I love seeing each persons amazing smile. We are like a family at Clark Orthodontics: Dr. Clark, the team, and our patients.
My husband Steven and I have been married more than25 years. We have two adult children, Erika and Nick, and a beautiful granddaughter who keeps us active. I love time with my family, especially when were enjoying outside activities.
I am lucky because I get to meet patients at the start of treatment and then watch them transform with their new smile. I welcome new patients and families, take initial X-rays and photos, handle insurance matters, and arrange payment plans. Its a pleasure to make everyone feel comfortable and informed about their treatment and to see their confidence increase during care. Seeing their joyful, beautiful smiles when were done is the best! I am happy to work in a professional atmosphere, with Dr. Clark and a team that share the goal of providing the best treatment and results.
My husband Brad and I have been married for more than 25 years. We have two sons: Garrett, who is self-employed, and Gage, who is a senior at Rushville High School. I enjoy watching Gage play sports, vacationing at the beach, and cheering on our Indianapolis Colts.
I provide Dr. Clark with administrative support and assist with our advertising and marketing strategies. I oversee the processing of insurance claims, and I work with patients and their families to find solutions to their financial concerns. Its been such a pleasure to be a part of this team for more than 20 years. Each person genuinely cares about our patients. We get the chance to have a positive effect on our patients, and our gift is to witness the transformation of their beautiful smiles.
I was born and raised in rural Shelby County. Although I love traveling with my husband Scott, I always look forward to returning to the small-town atmosphere found in both Shelbyville and Seymour. Everyone is usually surprised to learn that I am a hobby beekeeper with several hives, which are home to thousands of honey bees. I love spending time with family and friends, and I have found being a grandparent is far more special than I ever imagined.
At Clark Orthodontics, we know the power of a terrific smile: Every day, we see our patients transform before our eyes, and gaining self-esteem and confidence as their teeth are gently shifted into proper alignment.
During orthodontic treatment, each patient is able to see the change in his or her appearance. From visittovisit, as thenew smile develops, a remarkable change happens in the person. Peoplefeel better about how they look and start to engage and share that emerging new smile.

I was a patient in the early to mid-nineties and enjoyed the pain less than the gain, but always had great results. 20+ years later, with less than exemplary retainer usage and have very straight, very healthy, very strong teeth, and I'm often complimented on Dr Clark's work.) Thanks
