Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

Five stars to Dr. Ho!!! She did such a good job, I've had bad experiences with the last 2 dentists I've seen. She was really nice and makes you feel welcome, professional, and she also took her time not rushing it. I've only had one dentist I've ever trusted back when I lived out of state. I'm happy I finally found a Dr I can trust!!!

I had a dental emergency a couple days ago and upon finding out that my previous dentist would not see me same-day, I called Clairemont Smiles to see if they could fit me in. The front desk helped me SO MUCH in getting the soonest appointment and detailing everything very clearly. Within about an hour, I switched my insurance over and got on the schedule. Although it was my first appointment for an emergency, it was extremely comprehensive and Dr. Ho made me feel like I was in safe and capable hands. Also, Clairemont Smiles has a variety of dentists who can take care of all of your needs in house so I am happy even more with how convenient it has been. Scheduling has been a breeze and they are open on Saturdays, too! Could not be happier with my experience.

An excellent experience! From the first phone call, the receptionist was extremely helpful with working me into the schedule-I chipped my front tooth and she understood my urgent needs. The Dental assistant, Fernando was friendly and knowledgeable of my situation, he was great! The dentist, Dr. Rishaad Taraporewalla was wonderful, he answered all my questions and helped me figure out a plan that would work best. The dentist and assistant worked great together and in a painless timely fashion. I left in tears, happy tears, grateful to have been helped and taken care of! Thank you so much!!

Appointment times don't seem to matter here. My wife and I come every few months for her orthodontics but no matter when our appointment is we're left sitting alone in our patient room for 40 minutes before even being seen. We have better things to do than sit in some uncomfortable dentist chairs and if they are that busy every...single...day...then they are consistently over promising on appointment times. If we were gonna be left alone till 10:40, then why didn't they just tell us to come in at 10:40? Once this place has your money and set you up on a payment plan, the personal respect they have for your personal time goes right out the window. Definitely telling my friends and family not to come here

Best medical experience yet! Having just moved to the area I did not have a dentist and when an emergency came up they were able to prompt me schedule me for the same day. Everyone from Lindsay, to Maria, to Dr Alvarado was extremely professional, walking me through the procedure, cost, and recovery. I feel they did everything they could to give me a speedy recovery. Lastly, the whole place was so clean! Sanitized and ready to go!!

Claremont Smiles Dentistry has been a delightful find for me. My two cosmetic front teeth of 20 years had come off unexpectedly and I got immediate professional attention from Dr. Rishaad Taraporewalla, DMD. He put my anxieties to rest and within a few hours I walked out of his clinic with new porcelain front teeth that were fashioned in-house. I was blown away. When my wife met me after the procedure she could not believe my teeth had been fixed in one morning. We both had thought it would take at least a week for the measurements to be sent an outside vendor who would make the teeth, and then I would have to return to the clinic to have them fit. My wife was so impressed that she telephoned Dr T to talk about her own problem with a half broken molar. Dr T saw her at 4pm that same day and an hour later she walked out with a repaired tooth that looked like brand new. While technology played its part, it was Dr T's calm and reassuring demeanor that was awesome. He was patient and not pushy, leaving us with choices to make. He even recommended a one-year dental plan that not only paid for itself but also saved me hundreds of dollars on the cost of the entire treatment for me and my wife. Guess who will be seeking out Dr T for all future dentistry needs!

Have had issues for a long time due to less than stellar habits. After seeing 3 other dentists in 4 years I finally found Dr Alvarado. Within an hour of getting to the office I had x-rays and a plan of action. Dr Alvarado answered all my questions and didn't pressure me to do anything in particular. He made a lot of sense and was honest with the assessment and what it meant for me. The procedure took less than 45 minutes and thanks to his skill and a little numbing meds I didn't feel anything and afterward was in zero pain. Highly recommend seeing him for anything tha may be happening with your dental health.

I absolutely LOVE Clairemont Smiles!! I couldn't be happier about finding this practice. I never never felt so comfortable and happy at a dental office. They are flexible, incredibly nice, and very accommodating. Dr. Rishaad Taraporewalla did a phenomenal job with my crown and other dental needs. Somehow they manage to make the experience enjoyable. Everyone there is so friendly and I actually look forward to the dentist now!

I've been to Clairemont Smiles a few times over the past year and each time I received incredible dental care. From cleanings to cavities, Dr. Taraporewalla and team have been wonderful! Dr. Taraporewalla made each of my procedures painless and easy. He's very steady and gentle throughout the whole process. The office was clean and the office staff was helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Taraporewalla and his team to all!

NO PAIN... ! A few days ago I came for a consultation regarding a dental implant. Dr. Alvarado very thoroughly and clearly explained what need to be done. I was a bit nervous at first but the dentist helped me through it and I had a great experience and never felt any pain during the procedure. I've used other dentists in the past but none were as good at Dr. Alvarado . I fully recommend this office for everyone and all their dental needs.

I really do not enjoy writing bad reviews, but I will never be a patient of Steven Alvarado with Clairemont Smiles. I had two cleaning appointments back-to-back for my children and when I arrived 10 minutes early, I was told by Dr. Alvarado that they were 30-45 minutes behind. I understand that these things happen and said no problem I will go home and come back. I am 2 minutes from the office, so I asked for them to call me 10 minutes before the appointment. Dr. Alvarado was extremely condescending and so rude to me it was truly appalling. I understand being stressed and having a bad day, but I have never been treated that way, or would treat someone that way. My children were even shocked and made a comment when we got into the car. I will never go back to his practice because if that is the way he treats patients when he is stressed then I can take my business elsewhere. I do need to mention that the overall staff at Clairemont Smiles is amazing. We have been coming for years and have always had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, customer service comes from the top down and we will not be returning.
