Dental implant is placed in the jawbone to replace any missing teeth. Your own bone integrates around the titanium body of the implant and then you restore it with an abutment and a crown so that you can function with it as a normal tooth. If you have a missing tooth the teeth will shift to try and close the space which will result in a bite that won't be biting properly and it effects other teeth as well. If you have a tooth that's been missing the bone will resorb, you'll have less height or width to the ridge of the bone and you'll have a defect in there. If you put an implanting it acts as the root form of the tooth and it preserves the bone height and width. So, the benefits of the implant is, you're taking care of that one empty space. So, you're not damaging any of the other adjacent teeth and you're able to clean and eat and function with it as a normal tooth. Here in our practice, we can do single implants or multiple implants in order to secure and screw in your dentures, to give you a good function as well as aesthetics. The fact that patients can eat things that they weren't able to do before or worry about dentures falling out to be able to smile confidently with prosthesis thats fix them permanently makes all the difference in their in their lives.

Several neuromuscular occlusion courses from Las Vegas Institute have given her the tools to help patients with neuromuscular problems. A 2009 course taken in Spain on bone and tissue regeneration enables Dr. Cho to improve implant integration, reduce healing time, and improve bone regeneration in oral surgery procedures by deriving platelet rich growth factors from patients own blood.
Dr. Cho is one of few dentists in Orange County who offers LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), which is the first and only FDA approved laser gum disease treatment that is a no-cut, no-sew alternative to the traditional painful, scalpel and suture, gum surgery. She has been using this procedure to treat her patients with periodontal disease since being certified in 2008.
