Dental implants are a tooth restoration option that replaces missing tooth root and crown portion of the tooth. When gaps are left in the smile from missing teeth, it can cause bone deterioration and lead to other oral health implications. Dental implants have an extremely high success rate and are preferred over other options such as removable dentures due to their natural look and feel.
Whether you are missing a single tooth or multiple teeth, you can be a candidate for dental implants. The procedure does require there to be enough bone structure in order to support the implant placement. If you have bone deterioration, restorative procedures such as bone or soft tissue grafts may be necessary prior to receiving dental implants.
Dental implant is placed in the jawbone to replace any missing teeth. Your own bone integrates around the titanium body of the implant and then you restore it with an abutment and a crown so that you can function with it as a normal tooth. If you have a missing tooth the teeth will shift to try and close the space which will result in a bite that won't be biting properly and it effects other teeth as well. If you have a tooth that's been missing the bone will resorb, you'll have less height or width to the ridge of the bone and you'll have a defect in there. If you put an implanting it acts as the root form of the tooth and it preserves the bone height and width. So, the benefits of the implant is, you're taking care of that one empty space. So, you're not damaging any of the other adjacent teeth and you're able to clean and eat and function with it as a normal tooth. Here in our practice, we can do single implants or multiple implants in order to secure and screw in your dentures, to give you a good function as well as aesthetics. The fact that patients can eat things that they weren't able to do before or worry about dentures falling out to be able to smile confidently with prosthesis thats fix them permanently makes all the difference in their in their lives.

Dr. Cho has attended a wide spectrum of programs throughout the years, becoming one of a select few doctors able to provide the quality of care that surpasses the gold standard. She completed her residency through Nobel Biocare and attends study groups with her peers that keep her up to date in the latest implantology techniques. She completed her surgical and prosthetic programs at the Misch Implant Institute. She was awarded fellow status by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2011. In 2007, a series of courses on soft tissue grafting certified Dr. Cho to perform oral plastic surgery and has allowed her to help many patients with exposed roots and defects in gum tissue regain comfort and confidence in their smile. Several neuromuscular occlusion courses from Las Vegas Institute have given her the tools to help patients with neuromuscular problems. A 2009 course taken in Spain on bone and tissue regeneration enables Dr. Cho to improve implant integration, reduce healing time, and improve bone regeneration in oral surgery procedures by deriving platelet rich growth factors from patients own blood.
Dr. Cho is one of few dentists in Orange County who offers LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), which is the first and only FDA approved laser gum disease treatment that is a no-cut, no-sew alternative to the traditional painful, scalpel and suture, gum surgery. She has been using this procedure to treat her patients with periodontal disease since being certified in 2008.

I've been seeing Dr. Cho for 3 years now, and she and the rest of her amazing staff have done an excellent job in taking care of me and my teeth! From crowns to braces to veneers, everything is done exquisitely well and in a timely manner. Everyone is professional, kind, and swift to respond when I have a question or need to make an emergency appointment. I highly recommend checking out this dental practice!

Dr. Claire Cho and her staff are amazing! Dr. Cho knows all things related to teeth and oral health!! The office is beautiful, peaceful and equipped with the latest technology. Every visit includes an appraisal of your current oral health status, and problems are addressed head-on. Some people shy away from dentists, but I look forward to every single appointment!! She's the best Dentist I've ever seen in my 73 years.

I originally came to Dr.Cho's office for gum questions, after I saw how professional and awesome they are here at Dr.Cho's office I was shocked in the best way possible! They took pictures of my teeth and showed what's exactly good and bad about them I felt so comfortable knowing that they show you what's going on! They make you feel welcome and Dr. Cho is very sweet and such a great dentist, I absolutely recommend Dr. Cho's office!

I started with Dr. Cho when I moved here a year ago because she took my insurance, and because I'm determined (at age 72) to have a full set of healthy teeth when I die. That said, if I don't like my dentist, they only see me once. Period. Dr. Cho is top of the line. And her spacious office looks like it's equipped to handle ANY mouth-related problems. Walking into her office is like entering Heaven's antechamber to be attended by angels. Everyone is so sweet, it's like they graduated from the Trader Joe's school of dentistry. And how that gorgeous Dr. Cho could have lived long enough to rack up all the knowledge, awards, honors that cover the walls of every room is quite the mystery! (She really laughed when I said she looked young. But she does.) She's skilled, gentle, kind, knows how to choose excellent staff, she's got it all. If there were more stars to give this superstar, I'd gladly do it.

Dr. Cho recommended many things that were not needed. She told me that I needed 13 crowns, only to go to another local dentist and find out that I don't need any crowns. I saved over $7,000 by getting a second opinion and not using Dr. Cho. There's a reason why you get a personalized tour of the office and your name on a blackboard...you're paying overpriced for all that. If you want to avoid unnecessary dental work, do not see Dr.Cho.

If I could i would give Dr. Claire Cho's practice 100 stars. They are bar-none the best around. Everyone in the office are very welcoming from the minute u walk thru the door. Dr. Cho and her staff are very personable, professional and respectful. I have copious amounts of anxiety with any dental procedure. They were very understanding and empathetic from the get go. Dr Cho replaced my "all on 4" dental implants, upper and lower. She did an outstanding job. I am so happy with my smile and my confidence is back. She and her team are highly skilled individuals that took care of my every need. I would highly recommend Dr. Cho to anyone who wants or needs implants. She is an expert in the field and you will definitely be satisfied!

In the past I've always been a patient with high fear at a dental office. However, ever since I had my first visit at Dr Claire Cho's Practice, Dr and her staff have made me feel so comfortable with my cleanings and dental work which makes me so happy :) , not only have they made me feel this way but Dr. and her team have also educated me with how to take care and control of my gums, now that my gums are in control im on braces.Ive been on braces for about 1yr and it's incredibly hard to believe my teeth have been moving so fast in this past year I'm extremely happy because my teeth are starting to come along just great Thank you Dr Cho for giving me a beautiful smile

Dr. Cho is an excellent dentist and her team is amazing! I went to Dr. Cho for a second opinion on a tooth that my original dentist was unable to address/had never dealt with before. Luckily Dr. Cho knew exactly what was wrong and shared plans on how it can be addressed through future visits. I highly recommend both her and her office staff -- all are professional and kind! I experience dental anxiety and everyone from the moment I walked in helped put me at ease. I can't recommend this office enough!

Edit: Here I am 2 year later and I still have nothing but praise for this office & staff. They go above and beyond to provide quality care. I recently went in for my cleaning and to get a scan done, and the staff were nothing but accommodating to my ever changing schedule. You CANNOT go wrong by coming to see Dr. Cho & her staff! Dr. Cho and her staff are absolutely amazing. I have never been to such a top notch dentist before, and I will never go anywhere else now! The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming, and everyone is so nice! I definitely recommend coming to Dr. Cho for quality dental work.
