Dr. Kim was born in New Jersey and shortly after, moved to South Korea where she spent 8 years of her childhood. Afterward, she lived in California before her family decided to move to Texas. After graduating from Lewisville High School, she attended the University of Texas at Austin where she obtained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
Dr. Kim graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School with high honors where she received many awards for appreciation of consistently superior performance and for her keen interest in adhesive/esthetic dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Kims passion and love for dentistry lead her to be up to date with the most current and advanced dental knowledge and technologies. Just like how artists sign their name on their paintings, Dr. Kim wanted to provide the kind of dental service to her patients that she would be able to confidently place her name with. Dr. Kim and staff are great. I had some bad experiences with dentists in the past and had developed a fear of going. Consequently I had let my teeth go downhill. After some existing dental work started to fail I had to find a dentist. I did some research and Dr. Kim fit my needs. I explained my fears and she was very understanding. As one would expect I needed quite a bit of work done. Dr. Kim got me back in good shape without any pain. I also like the way Dr.Kim interacts with her staff. They all seem to get along well and I noticed that she is always teaching them as she works.

I had implants and a sinus lift which failed. I've been on numerous antibiotics and the Doctor refused to correct the problem. I've been rushed to the ER with compilations. The staff was different every time I went in.

Best dentist I've been too so far! The main dentist is very caring and attentive. The filling I just got was the smoothest experience I've ever had. All the staff are professional without coming across as cold or dry. Scheduling is very easy and they go above and beyond to sort things out with your insurance. The office has a great atmosphere in comparison to previous dentist offices. Not only are there ceiling TVs but I got to pick my own show to watch! I feel like this would be a great office to bring children too as well. I had been putting off going due to anxiety and a developing fear of the dentist in general but she really squashed that for me and I feel very comfortable here! I would also like to add that they do not try to sell you things you don't need, as I've experienced at other offices in the past. Previously I have had a dentist tell me I had more cavities than I actually did and came here for a second opinion (after putting off getting care for months) and they are actually accurate here and not just after your money.

What a SHOCK! I was skeptical at first, based on prior bad choices I've made choosing dentists. But not this time. I was fortunate enough to have both practice doctors spend time with me. Both were warm, kind and well informed dentists. And I was treated like a person, not a number. I was constantly asked, by all the staff I dealt with throughout my visit, "Do you have any questions?" HUH? WHAT? A doctor's office that takes the time to ask me WHAT? This included: the nice woman that checked me in (and later checked me out); the nice dental assistant that took my X-rays; the kind doctor who performed my cleaning; the kind practice owner who talked to me about various treatment options. And when I did ask questions, they answered me thoroughly. I could not have had a better experience at CK Dental City, and I will definitely be returning as a patient in the future. There are many dental offices to choose from in the general area, but there is NO WAY they are going to be better than this place. :-)
