Their staff, from front desk to dentist are the absolute nicest. They remember details from past visits and perhaps most importantly they don't try to push unnecessary X-rays, etc. I appreciate the transparency.

When trying to pay my bill which was $330, the receptionist told me I owed $550, after telling her I only owed $330 she told me I was wrong, that I committed to a contract and that I was obligated to the full amount. I had to get the dental assistant to correct the receptionist. After the receptionist realized she was wrong I basically got no apology, only an attitude from the receptionist. I then proceeded to pay my $ 330 balance with cash. After paying in full the receptionist gave me a receipt showing I only paid $240. I told her she made a mistake because I paid her $330. She then attempted to correct her mistake and gave me a 2nd receipt showing I gave her $260. I then called the dental assistant to correct the receptionist mistake. Finally they fixed their 3rd mistake. But I got attitude from the staff and no "sorry." I was then told I need to be patient and that people make mistakes. I was expecting an apology that I never got. I had 2 free cleanings that I won't ever use. Not going back here. Ever!

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would actually ENJOY going to a dentist until I found City Roots. The dentists and staff are truly world-class; the environment is clean and comfortable; and overall energy of the office is calm and friendly. Completely opposite to how other dentists in the Highlands practice, City Roots is conservative in their approach to dental care, meaning you won't be advised to get expensive procedures done unless you truly need them. Can't recommend them enough!

As a hygienist I've had experience in a lot of offices in Denver and this is the only dental office I would get work done at. Great staff great dentist & great vibes! I noticed a couple one star reviews which was shocking. After reading them, the low reviews were written by patients who's conflicts are more related to misinformation or lack of understanding of their own insurance plans or is related to their personal emotions and preferences. Anyone, even myself, gets upset or scared when being told you have oral health diseases that need to be treated AKA a cavity. I truly believe patients not being aware of their insurance plan and not understanding how insurance claims work, cause a lot of confusion and strife that is then projected onto the dental office... which is not fair. What needs to be evaluated and reviewed is: Do they diagnose aggressively or conservatively? Does their work last or need to be replaced? Is it easy to get an appointment when needed? Is the office sanitary and a safe environment? This type of information is beneficial for people determining wether an office is a good fit; reviews based on emotion just skew the overall rating! Here is a solution to problems patients face- KNOW YOUR INSURANCE!!! People know what their out-of-pocket will be when you go to a primary care versus specialist with your regular health insurance, right? It's nobody's responsibility but your own. Be your own advocate people!!!! Great office definitely the BEST in Denver!!

I came to fix a issue that popped up with a tooth. I was then made ready for a cleaning. it wasn't the actual emergency at hand, but agreed because I trusted they knew what they were doing. The cleaning came to an end and then Dr. Janda was called in who introduced herself and asked what I did for work. Caught me off guard ,but i responded truthfully. She then asked me 'if I thought I had good hygine' to which I responded that I thought I did. She quickly responded with something like 'well you have this cavity , that cavity, ...' as well as some other work. She paused to see my reaction and left the room. The entire meeting happened in less than two minutes. The hygienist who was in the room the entire time had a sudden mood change at this time . She became short with her answers and walked me to the front desk where I was handed a printout by the receptionist that seemed extremely high based on my research. I felt I had to research this and get a second take because nothing was explained to me about what the work was and the charges. After a few days I got a email saying that my bill would go up which was a little shocking because I had just came from another dentist and had gotten pricing much lower. Since I needed to go for a 2nd opinion a new dentist kindly explained the work I needed in detail over the course of 30 minutes and each step that would be taken. I couldn't help but feel the way City Roots Dental handled that situation could have been better. It wasn't in your face, but had more of a passive-aggressive feel. I am very suspicious the question about my work ended in me getting the large bills, but more then anything the treatment going from kind and caring to short and emotionless when the doc came around scared me a little. I'm all for paying more, but I'll need more 'value' and care from my doc to do that.

Best dentist I've ever been to! I came here for a second opinion after a negative experience at another dental firm. Dr. Janda and her team have taken great care of me with a consultation and a crown. Thoughtful, detailed and kind are just a few words to describe this place. Thank you City Roots!

Love City Roots! Super kind all around - front desk, assistants, and dentists. Laid back and caring. I've gone for cleanings and for work and it's been absolutely great. My dad was a dentist so I have a high standard for dentistry and they absolutely go above and beyond! Other dentists in the area have done terrible work on me - for example, I've had to get fillings done THREE times because she didn't put them on correctly (in a rush). Dr. Janda is my main, but both are not in a rush and make sure they are doing their best work. Highly recommend going here above all others in north Denver.

I had a wonderful experience with City Roots Dental. I went to them because my wife highly recommended them. We live over an hour away, but she had such wonderful things to say, I decided to give them a try. I went to them for a second opinion, which they did for free! The staff was incredible. Very kind and welcoming and willing to do what it took to get me the care I needed. I had a unique situation, so I needed to be referred to a gum specialist. The team at City Roots called several locations on my behalf until they found someone that could see me the same day. The place they referred me to was also wonderful.

Going to the dentist is normally a drag...maybe even a dreaded event. That's never the case with my visits to City Roots Dental. Dr. Garrison and the staff make it, dare I say, an enjoyable experience. The entire office is a caring, fun bunch who love what they do and it shows through their communications and the dental work they perform. I am very appreciative and thankful to have such a great dental office in the West Highland neighborhood.

Super, great, awesome, superb experience! I hadn't been to a dentist in... almost 5 years. Due to a bad previous experience at another dentist, I didn't go again until City Roots Dental. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed and comfortable. The dental hygienist, dentist, and all other employees were great. They treat you like a friend and are genuinely interested in you as a person. This helps a lot to lessen the stress a patient (such as myself) might face. Is it weird to say I can't wait to go to the dentist again? Thanks City Roots Dental!

This is probably long overdue! Why do I always make it a priority to leave bad reviews but not great ones. I've been going here for almost 2 years now and see Liz. She is the BEST. She remembers my teeth which is a weird thing to say, but she does! She educates and never makes me feel bad. Dr Janda and Dr Garrison are both great when they've popped in for my exam. They have 7AM appointments which is amazing for people who work 8-5. I've moved further south and it now takes me 40 minutes to get here but I haven't had the heart to change practices. At my last visit, I arrived 15 minutes late (why can't I ever just take into account morning traffic). The woman at the front told me I would only have enough time for an exam or a cleaning. Well, that's fair; I can't put Liz behind for the rest of the day. When I got back to Liz's chair, she was so nice and accommodating and truly tried to make time for both. Ive also had trays made for teeth whitening. Everything is always a very positive experience at the office, which I should say is modern-looking and very clean.
