An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

I never knew it was possible to not completely hate and dread going to the dentist, before going here. The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding. Each experience has been very smooth and the whole team really make you feel like family. I've been going to Dr. Chu for a very complicated process, and I could not be happier with the results! She did an amazing job and was always courteous of my time, as well as flexible with my work schedule. Dr. Chu is the best!

I walked in so nervous, I'm a grown adult who's afraid of the dentist . I couldn't even begin to tell you almost immediately I was put at ease. Dr. Melanie Chu and assistant Lili were so fantastic, I didn't have time to worry about what they were doing, I was completely distracted and at ease. I don't feel as afraid of the dentist here, I would absolutely recommend coming here to anyone who asks!

I have never experienced such friendly, welcoming staff until coming to City Place Modern Dentistry! I come in for routine appointments frequently and always feel right at home; I know it's easy to slip into the thought of dentists being frightening and 'scary'. However, I've never once felt uncomfortable here. Wether it be me referring to procedures/exams, or just the staff in general. I actually look forward to my routine dental appointments! If anything, Dr. Chu, Magali, Dina, Karina, and Christina are like family. You guys rock! Thank you for all you do!

The team here has taken great care of me. They take the time to explain procedures and make sure I understand exactly what my mouth needs. They are very flexible with scheduling and make sure to explain all costs prior to the procedure. Dr. Chu is very knowledgeable and is always friendly and gentle. A 5 star experience from the front desk to the doctor. I needed my top denture replaced due to poorly made, too big teeth from another dentist. Everything that was wrong with the first denture,she patiently listened to my struggle with the teeth. The result, l now have teeth that look like my real teeth! and I can eat with them.Something I couldn't do with the other one. Extremely Happy !

Dr. Melanie Chu and Dr Nguyen were both really great! I just got reliable dental insurance and will be returning back for check ups now that I have the ability to cover costs as well as having a nice dentist. No pain in my root canal procedure.
