Dr. Achikeh earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1987 after whichhe went for a General Practice Residency with the Veterans Administrationin Cleveland, Ohio, in 1993. Dr. Achikeh then completed a General PracticeResidency with Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee from 1994,where he received the Outstanding Residents Award.In 1995, Dr.Achikeh completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at theCase Western Reserve University Hospital and Mt. SinaiHospital, inCleveland, Ohio.
In 2008,Dr. Achikeh completed a program on examinationand clinical simulations sufficient to merit Associate Fellowship with theWorld Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI). In 2015, Dr. Achikeh was awarded aMastership by the Board of International Dental Implant association. Dr.Achikeh is a member of several professional organizations including:

Dr. Achikeh moved to the Metro Washington D.C. area in 1995 and hasbeen practicing in Silver Spring, Maryland since 1997. His goal as adentist is to create beautiful smiles and to ensure that patients leave theoffice happier than when they came. Dr. Achikeh is married with two kids who are currently in College. In his spare time, Dr. Achikeh enjoys traveling and watching and playing soccer.
After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1979 from the University Paris VII in France, Dr. Francoise Engel worked in a private practice as a general dentist. To pursue her schooling in orthodontics, Dr. Engel immigrated to the United States and graduated from theUniversity of Pennsylvania in 1983 with her Certificate in Orthodontics. During her residency in Philadelphia, Dr. Engel was in orthodontic treatment and even graduated with her braces still on.Motivated by a strong interest in education, Dr. Engel stayed on as a Clinical Associate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine while working in a private orthodontic practice in Richboro, PA.
An offer as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, Health Science Center, prompted a move to San Antonio. For the next nine years Dr. Engel taught fulltime in the Department of Orthodontics at the San Antonio Dental School. In 1994, Dr. Engel accepted a faculty position at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore where she taught and practiced orthodontics for four years.
To apply what she had taught for so long, Dr. Engel went into private practice to set into motion her unique caring philosophy and state of the art techniques. Her friendly attitude, personalized attention and excellence in patient care have generated beautiful smiles from her patients.
Born and educated in Paris, France, Dr. Engel currently resides in Pikesville, Maryland. She is the parent of two grown up children and she enjoys participating in various outdoor activities including: bike riding, sailing and hiking. Dr. Engel also takes pleasure from the arts, theater, foreign films and musicals.
