Dr. Cieplak graduated as a top honors student from the University of Maryland Dental Schoolclass of 1983. He also concurrently trained at Johns Hopkins and Mercy Hospitals for sedation dentistry. While in dental school, he received the Anesthesiology Award for outstanding work in dental anesthesiology. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society for conscientiousness and integrity, the Gorgas Odontological Society for Academic Honors and the Gamma Pi Delta society for Prosthetics Honors. Dr. Cieplak is one of only 3,000 dentists worldwide to achieve Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Cieplak continued training after dental school in the emerging field of Implant Dentistry by taking every major implant manufacturer sponsored training program available (academic courses were unavailable at that time). He continued training under the masters of implant dentistry culminating his training with a year at Brookdale Hospital where he achieved Fellow status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and Associate Fellow status in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Cieplak completed the entire program at the Pankey Institute for TMJ studies, has studied under Frank Spear at the Seattle Institute, and Robert Winter in Newport Beach for advanced cosmetic and esthetic dentistry. He completed his advanced cosmetic studies with the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) in September of 2005.

I Love this Dental Team!! Especially Dr. CiePlak and Senior Manager Kandyce. The staff and management is phenomenal. They have always treat my entire family as if they were their own. I travel all the way from Laurel to LaPlata for their exceptional care. I have referred several of my friends and family to the practice.

I truly appreciate everyone in this office. From the lady at the front desk (Nikki ) who took the time to explain my insurance benefits to the treatment that was recommended by the doctor to the staff in the back! What an excellent experience! Felt like I was hanging out with friends! I can't wait to go back!! And it's the dentist office!! Lol! I would recommend this office to everyone I know! So I am updating my original review of this office. I went in yesterday for my check up and I was very disappointed!! I knew I needed to have work done since I got a plan of what needs to be done back in January but yesterday I got one and I knew something wasn't right. First off the dr added more treatment which I know is my fault but the amounts for my discount with my insurance just didn't look right so I went home and compared it to the original one and it was way off. So I called my insurance thinking maybe they had a change with the fees since January and I found out that no it was false the insurance never changed any fees the lady at my insurance did tell me that the original one I had from January was correct but not this new one which I was already upset since I wasn't dealing with the same person when it came time to talk about the money she had knew me and my anxieties and was always so helpful and knew what she was talking about and now I just don't know what to think I honestly hope they didn't just add money to make more money. I just have a bad feeling now and will be finding another dentist in my network I guess!

FOR OVER 15 YEARS i HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF Dr. Cieplak and all of his office and technical staff, including my last visit for my periodontal cleaning have provided friendly, relaxing professional care. I just happened to walk by the front door, wasn't looking for a dentist that day, just moved to the La Plata area, popped in, grabbed a card, called and made an appointment. Came to the office, everyone I met was friendly and helpful. Had an overall great experience, looking forward to bringing back my dental health to where it needs to be.
