Dr. Long has enjoyed Rockport and the surrounding area since the early 1980s. His many trips to the community enticed him to buy a home in Rockport four years ago. He then set out to establish a dental practice here. Like so many who suffered the devastating effects of hurricane Harvey, his office opening was delayed due to damage from the storm. He opened Church Street Dental on March 19, 2018 at 405 N. Church Street in Rockport, Texas.
Dr. Long brings over 30 years of experience in general dentistry, complex implant work and orthodontics. He combines his skills in orthodontics, implants and porcelain veneers to create a perfect smile. He uses the latest techniques, technology and materials available to bring you the best dentistry in a relaxed setting. Dr. Long handles everything from teeth cleaning, fillings and general care to full mouth implant supported dentures. He works with children, adults and seniors, taking special care to get to know his clients and their families. He works hard to explain his procedures to his patients and is pleased to answer all the questions they have.
Dr. Long has completed extensive implant training, including collaborations with some of the best dentist in the country. During the 1990s, he trained with the late Dr. Bob Gerety, one of the top orthodontic instructors in the country. Dr. Longs work is admired by many specialists in this area of dentistry. In 2000, he teamed up with Dr. Kent Stobaugh, a noted oral surgeon, to perform over 500 implant cases. He performs everything from single tooth replacement to teeth in a day procedures, like you may have seen on television.
Dr. Long attended Texas State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Long is a member of the American Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Greater Houston Dental Society. He has three grown children and two grandchildren.

I was visiting from out of state when my molar became abscessed. I didnt know who to call I decided on Dr. Long i'm so glad I did he worked me in it tooks 3 visits and days of a lot of time, I also would need a crown.I am a winter Texian and realized why, the people are wonderful in Texas. Thank you Dr. Long and your staff.

Dr. Long restored my smile! I had neglected my teeth for way too long and was in serious need of professional help. I found the right place. Now with new dentures I have my smile back and as a bonus I even look younger. I would recommend Dr. Long to anyone needing dental work - major or minor. If I could I would give him 10 stars.

Dr. Long recently fitted my big brother with some new teeth and he looks fabulous! What a great job they did and so, so natural looking! I'm super impressed, thank you Dr. Long and staff for making the effort for your patients. It's truly a game changer! The new look takes YEARS off his face and he looks amazing!! I first went to see Dr. Long at Church Street Dental a few months ago. I had ignored my dental health for many years and my teeth were in very bad condition. My very first impression of the office was how friendly and accommodating Dr. Long's staff was. I was nervous, but they made me feel welcome and cared for. It soon became very apparent to me that Dr. Long was a highly skilled and knowledgeable dentist. He worked out a treatment plan and went right to work. I was comfortable and completely without pain during all of the procedures. I'm sure that the work that Dr. Long did was very difficult, but he did a fantastic job restoring my teeth. It was pretty apparent that he knew what he was doing and had some very advanced skills. I still have a bit more work to be done, but I'm grateful to have found Dr. Long to see me through it. He, and his wonderful staff, have been a great comfort to me in restoring my teeth and my health. Dr. Long and his staff at Church Street Dental have my highest recommendation.

A far way from home, out camping for 4 months, I had a large chip in a front tooth. This kind dentist got me in quickly and did a wonderful repair for me at what I feel is a reasonable price.

I love Dr. Long's office! After moving to Rockport from Corpus I need a dentist and found Dr. Long. He immediately saw major flaw in a root canal I had done years ago. I knew there was an issue with it but the dentist that did always assured me it was fine. Dr. Long worked quickly and removed all work that had been done to find infection and loss of bone. We replaced the work with an implant and I couldn't be happier with the results!

Had a great experience at chruch street dental Melissa did great job on deep scale cleaning no pain. Flossing is smooth now. They are reasonable priced. Tamara office lady nice too.

I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Long and his staff were very friendly. They were very informative about alot of things I had never knew about health related issues due to teeth. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of work or check up.

Dr Long is meticulous in detail. He is concerned for his patient. He is passionate about the profession of dentistry, even after 30 years of practice. He believes in continuing education, keeping up with the latest innovations and new standards of practice. I flew back to Rockport from Arizona to have Dr Long do my dentistry. I needed 3 crowns and 3 fillings. Being a former dental hygienist, I am encourged to know Rockport was getting a dental professional of good character, moral standards and his fees are less than expected. Mostly my mouth feels amazing! No more worring about breaking a silver filling.... there are none left! I wish Dr Long and his staff much success in Rockport.
