Dr. Susan Nguyen grew up in San Diego. Dr. Nguyen earned her B.S. at UCSD and her DDS, Certificate of Specialty in Periodontics, as well as a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Nguyen is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. For those looking for minimally invasive periodontal therapies, Dr. Nguyen is trained in the state-of-the-art laser surgical therapy using the LANAP, Pin-Hole Surgical, Piezosurgery, and atraumatic extraction techniques. Dr. Nguyen also served in the United States Army Reserve Dental Corp for nine years as a general dentist and Periodontist. Dr. Nguyen is actively involved San Diego County Dental Society and has also served over ten years as Co-Chairman and committee member for the Continuing Education. Dr. Nguyen is also a UCSD associate clinical professor and is active in the San Diego dental community volunteering at Veteran Village, educating colleagues, medical providers and public in oral health and mentoring pre-dental students. In her time away from the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys listening to music, going to musical and play, traveling and learning about other cultures, volunteering at his sons school, being imaginative with providing healthy cuisines for my family, and trying to keep up with my sport enthusiastic son and husband.

Dr. Nguyen was incredibly thorough and informative. The evaluation was extensive and her manner and conduct was patiently and sensitively explained. The office was cozy and inviting; the interior environment earth elements design was appreciated and noted. Clean and tidy. Dental care can be a horror show but her examination and her mood manifested a caring consideration and her touch was gentle and professional.

I absolutely love this office. They were very friendly and explained everything to me without using all the doctor terms so I can understand better. The girls at the front desk were amazing all the way across the board. The actual dentist was very companionate and realistic. I will for sure be returning

I am recovering well after a bone graft procedure surgery done yesterday because I have major bone loss and needed to get on the path of restoring it . The professionalism and knowledge of Dr. Nguyen brought much assurance to me about my long-term care for my teeth and gums ! Dr. Nguyen gave a follow-up call to see how I am doing , she is extremely intelligent, experienced and caring, and is open always to answer questions I might have. Thank you also to all the assistants and staff , including Jasmine, Stephanie, Kim and Poalua -- they are so friendly, professional and caring !

Best periodontist available. Dr. Nguyen is brilliant ant has the state of the art equipment. She has special payment plans as she is well aware the cost is expensive. She will give you her honest opinion as if you are family. And Care Credit is available interest free For 2 years at least.

This office is very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Nguyen was very thorough in her exam. She clearly explained in great detail in laymans terms exactly what I needed to have done. I left the office armed with written instruction, diagrams, an a estimate of fees. I give this very professional Chula Vista Periodontics a 5 star. The best.

The whole staff was very kind and friendly. Starting with the receptionist, the dental assistant, Dr Susan Nguyen, and the young lady at the billing department. They took me in right away after checking in, the dental assistant came in and explained everything that the doctor was going to do by showing me a video. The doctor came in right after and explained the procedures that she was going to perform for the procedures that were necessary. The billing dept took my info and told me the amount that was due after my insurance and scheduled my appointment to move forward with the procedures that need to be done. Overall the experience was smooth and easy, the staff was great. I would highly recommend Dr Susan Nguyen and her staff if you need any type of dental procedure done. Thank you guys and see you in a couple of weeks.

The dr there kept bragging about how she had 20 yrs experience like she was selling herself.I really feel as if they overcharge & she said I needed work that I did not need -I went and got a 2nd opinion after they wanted to charge me over $13,000, when I just went in there for a deep cleaning. My other dentist said for deep cleaning, laser, mouth guard,and grind down $2100......when they wanted to charge over $7000 just for bottom teeth Lazer. ..
