Since moving to Alaska in 2013, Dr. Adam Jensen has been providing general dentistry to Alaskans from across the state. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2010 and began his career in public health. Over the last five years, he has honed his skills in IV sedation, dental implants and orthodontics through extensive continuing education. Recently, he realized his dream to provide comprehensive and patient-centered care by opening his own practice, Chugach Dental.
Originally from Montana, Dr. Jensen has cultivated an appreciation for the wilderness and the great outdoors, and you will find breathtaking photography from his adventures throughout the clinic. Outside of dentistry, Adam raced professionally as an Ironman triathlete for 6 years, and is an avid mountain runner and backcountry skier. He enjoys backpacking, flying and spending time outside with his friends and loyal companion, Major the Mountain Dog. Additionally, he likes to support the local running community through volunteering and participation in local races including Mount Marathon.
Matt was born and raised in a small Montana town nestled between a lake and mountains, an environment that first cultivated his hunger for adventure, the outdoors, and healthy living. He pursued his undergraduate degree in Human Biology at The University of Montana before returning to complete a degree in Registered Nursing. He moved to Alaska in 2014 and worked as an RN in the Emergency Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center for 4 years. His professional experience includes organ donation, cardiac catheterization, and emergency nursing.
He graduated with a Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University in 2019. He enjoys practicing all aspects of cardiology in both the hospital and clinic settings. Outside of work, Matt enjoys traveling, mountain running, yoga, backcountry mountaineering, Nordic skiing, and cooking healthy, delicious meals.
Melissa Castle is our hygienist of the Chugach Dental team. She was born and raised in Craig of Southeast Alaska. Moving to Anchorage for secondary education, she graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. Melissa can help sparkle your smile, fine tune your home care, and get you on track to keeping a healthy mouth clean!
Andrea is a mother of three who graduated with her B.A. in Business Management from UAA in 2016. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, building her online business, working out, and cooking meals from around the world. Andreas fourth child is her Yorkie named Ella.
Anna came to Alaska via a large military family. She raised 4 children to love everything outdoors. When they werent on a baseball field, their weekends were spent traveling to whatever corner of Alaska the outdoor event called for. There were also many memories made on the family boat out of Seward. The days adventures always ended with sitting around the campfire laughing about the fish that got away or whos snowmachine they had to dig out.
Anna and her husband are now empty nesters with their two dogs Nelli and Kiska. You can find her family still swapping stories around a campfire, only now it takes a caravan of campers to get them all there!

Our dentist of many years retired awhile back and left us floating around for several years trying to find our next dental home. Our search is over! Dr. Adam Jensen and his staff are just the genuine best. This is a patient-centered practice. They have time for us during our appointments; the dental care is honestly excellent and the follow-ups are prompt and really nice. There are no high pressure sales or pushy tactics, just quality dental services. We heartily recommend Chugach Dental and we're so happy to have found them.

The utmost attention was paid to going the extra mile from first to last contact, including making sure I was comfortable and pain free the entire visit. I traveled quite a ways to get some cavities sorted and they made my visit worth every penny. The staff was very personable, skilled, friendly, helpful and comunicative. I've had past experiences with other dentist offices where they lacked skill, felt they were trying to squeeze as much out of me as possible, and/or when asking questions was met with annoyance - this was NEVER the case at Dr. Jensen's office by ANY staff member. Everything was followed up with texts to see how I was and well wishes on my travels back. I couldnt be more pleased with the visit!!

I have nothing but the best experience here. I never knew that was possible at the dentist, but this office and staff has showed me that it is. Every one here is kind, caring, compassionate and a joy to talk to. Dr. Jensen is the best dentist I have had and I have had to many to count over the years. He is kind and understanding. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and puts together the best treatment plan that works for me. I know I can always trust his opinion and that I will receive nothing but the best care. I have had a few treatments since finding Dr. Jensen and all of them have gone better than I could have expected. Lena, is so sweet. She to takes the time to listen and is always so positive. She has calmed my nerves down more than she probably knows and I am so thankful for her and to have had the chance to meet her. I always look forward to seeing Lena. (She also has the best wash towels with essential oils) those are nice! Definitely get yourself one of those. Anna and Andrea at the front desk are always welcoming and kind as well! If you need a dentist don't look any where else. This is a wonderful team. You will get the best care here! I am truly thankful to all the staff at Chugach Dental.

Wonderful dentist and staff! They were able to fit myself and all four of my kids in at the same time! They had immense patience and were so good to the kids the entire time! They had a treasure chest and coloring sheets to keep them entertained. The exams and cleanings were very professional and informative, with the dentist showing you X-rays and digital photos of your teeth, would highly recommend!

First visit today for my husband and I. The staff were wonderful and Dr. Jensen was great took his time, explained everything and Melissa the Hygienist, well we both agree it's the best teeth cleaning we have had in years. Highly recommend this Dental office.

I have been Dr. Adam's patient for a few years now and I have never felt more comfortable at the dentist. He and his staff are incredible, always doing what is best for me and my teeth without doing anything unnecessary. I would absolutely recommend Chugach Dental!
