She was one of those young adolescents who actually knew she wanted to be an orthodontist when she grew up. Afterhaving experienced extensive orthodontic treatment as a young teenager, she came to appreciate the unique blend of art and science involved in creating a patients new smile and improving his or her overall facial aesthetics.
Shefeels very privileged to be part of a profession that is dedicated to serving and helping people of all ages. She understands every patient is very different, which is why the treatment she provides reflects each patients unique needs. Her experienced team works very hard to make sure each patient is comfortable and excited to be there. Dr. Carrie has become involved with a national organization, Smiles Change Lives, and donates her orthodontic services to deserving children and teens. There is nothing better than seeing the life of a child changed as a result of becoming confident in his appearance.

In order to provide the best possible care to her patients, Dr. Carrie regularly attends continuing education courses and is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and the Illinois State Dental Society. She believes it is important to be a student of the profession, and to continue to evaluate new treatment systems that can lead to even better and improved outcomes for her orthodontic patients.
Dr. Carrie is originally from the small town of Jamestown, in upstate New York. She now lives in Hinsdale and has embraced our community and its surrounding neighborhoods and towns. Dr. Carrie has become known for her willingness to give back to the community by sponsoring numerous local philanthropic organizations along with the community schools. Herhusband, Vijay, is an orthopedic surgeon with DuPage Medical Group. They have two young children, Caroline and Nathan, who keep them very busy outside the office.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, fitness, and travel.
During dental school, she received several awards, including the American Institute of Orthodontic Research award and the University of Illinois Alumni Association Lina K. Tharp Award for compassion in providing oral healthcare to patients.
For her outstanding academic achievements, Dr. Ami was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr. Ami then completed her orthodontic residency at Marquette University in Milwaukee, earning her Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Ami loves seeing the transformation in her patients and their smiles throughout treatment. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date and provide the best treatment options for her patients.
