To share a little about myself: I began my studies locally, graduating from Fresno State with a degree in Psychology. This has proved invaluable in both helping to create the most comfortable environment possible as well as guiding our patients through their experience. After this I earned a Masters degree in Human Physiology from Loma Linda University, where I begin doing research in the dental field. I moved up to San Francisco to study at UCSF, one of the top dental schools in the country. I was fortunate to serve as the school Vice-President and then President, receiving several awards including a commendation from the Governor of California as well as the esteemed Pierre Fauchard award for 2004. During my time at UCSF I created the undergraduate endodontics certificate program. After completing dental school I began my specialty training, and was accepted into the University of Washington, Seattle for the Masters degree in Endodontics.
I am one of the only root canal specialists in the Valley that is certified to offer adult conscious sedation for your comfort. The office was granted Oral Conscious Sedation certificate by the California State Board. I have completed the IV sedation program from the University of Southern California, and a member of the DOCS Sedation Education Institute.
As an Endodontic Specialist, I have advanced training in root canal treatment, microsurgery and other related procedures geared to save your natural teeth. My workup includes specialized techniques in diagnosing the potential causes of head and neck pain. I am a member of the American Association of Endodontic Specialists, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Pierre Fauchard Academy, Fresno Madera Dental Society, and California Dental Society.
Lastly I am highly trained in surgical implant placement for teeth that are not savable, or at least provide information on the treatment options for your situation. In the area of implant dentistry, I received education and training at the Misch International Implant Institute, Ickert Dental Implant Teaching Centre, and the Pikos Surgical Institute. I am both a Member and Fellow of the Internation Congress of Implantologists.

Horrible phone service - they never answer! I call them to confirm my appointment (instead of it being the other way around) or to request an appointment change, but they never answer the phone. They always end up calling you the day before your appointment and tell you there's a $25 fee if you cancel within 24 hours. To top it off, when I finally went to my first appointment, they rescheduled me because their equipment had just broke down. Second time around I call them about my rescheduled appointment and the phone service is exactly the same. This time someone finally answered the phone once just to hang up on me immediately.

If you, like everyone else, has hesitations and misgivings, or downright fear about Dentistry, DDS Sabourin's practice is not that place. It's a family of professionals, all on the same comfort page. From beginning to end of treatment, you know that you are in very friendly capable hands, and the proof is in the finished product, you will not be disappointed..!!

I have honestly never heard receptionists with such excellent phone etiquette and politeness. They were also very quick to contact my insurance. All of the staff there were polite and answered all of my questions, explaining the entire process. Christopher is very down to earth and excellent dentist. He understood my hesitation for root canals and since a treatment plan with my dentist is partially set up told me to discuss with them to help decide on root canals or extractions. He was not pushy like some that I have met. I recommend everyone see him and his wonderful staff.

Going to a dentist can be a challenge, psychologically and physically, and many people have a deep dislike for the experience, especially when faced with a surgical-type event such as a root canal. I want to provide this "review" on the practice of Dr. Christopher Sabourin DDS in the hopes of giving you some comfort. Over a period of 11 weeks I have had two root canals in the Clovis, California office of Dr. Sabourin, and both of these included anesthesia sedation. In the simplest terms, things couldn't have gone better. There were multiple contacts with the office staff from the usual setting up of appointments and insurance coverage but also with getting all the pre- and post-operation medication prescriptions and the sedation information with required consent. All of the contact with the office staff was handled by my husband since I was unavailable due to my work hours. He was so impressed with the friendliness and proficiency of each staff member when he talked with them and how they handled completion of the paperwork. I too can say that the staff was so nice, ensuring my comfort throughout, including a blanket, and in getting me safely to and into the car with my husband's help. They are a great team. A special "kudos" to Dr. Sabourin for taking his time to go into the office on a weekend to deal with a pharmacy issue. As for the actual procedure, well, having been sedated I can't remember. It was completed in the planned 3 hours...from initial sedation to in-office post-op recovery. There weren't any complications and I am very pleased with the relief-from-pain that necessitated these operations. Thank you Dr. Sabourin and to your staff as well.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Saborin. First of all his office staff is top notch. They are so helpful and welcoming. I was in so much pain and they worked me into the Dr's busy schedule which I am so grateful for. Dr. Saborin is not one of these doctors who will try and sell or tell you stuff you don't need. He is one of the most honest doctors in this industry. I can't thank him enough!!! If anyone is looking for a honest doctor and one who does not hurt you look no further. He is your guy!! He is the best out there! I've had multiple root canals done in my lifetime always painful always scary. Doctor SABOURIN was amazing as well as his amazing staff!! They have advance technology that other dentist offices that I've been to don't offer. Well worth it. I'm never going anywhere else. I've had two procedure done here and they've exceeded my expectations. I'm no longer scared to get a root canal.

We didn't get to experience the service of the doctor because of his terrible scheduling staff. I had an appointment scheduled for 3 weeks and the day before I was called at 1pm and notified that this office requires people to pay the co-pay in advance before the appointment. (That in itself is ridiculous I've never heard of that everybody pays co-pays at the time of the appointment )and that I had until 2:00 p.m. to pay or the appointment for the next day would be canceled. Because of the short notice I needed more time to go load cash onto my card because I didn't have enough at the time of the call. The woman scheduling my appointment told me that their policy was the co-pay had to be paid by 2:00 p.m. and I had already gone past since the call was taking place around 2:30 p.m. and that their policy was I needed to pay it then and she could not give me more time so I was not even allowed to go load the money to my card and pay it and since I didn't pay at that moment the appointment was canceled and then they said they could reschedule me a month out because they're booked until then. This was one of the most ridiculous experiences I've ever had trying to schedule an appointment. Needless to say we canceled and did not move any further with them I refuse to come to a place that can't even have decent scheduling staff
