Dr. Oviedoreceived his B.S. degree in General Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego in 2006 and his D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific in 2009. He practiced dentistry in the United States Navy where he treated about 3,000 patients and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal as well as the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.After serving our country, he completed his orthodontic residency and received an M.S. degree in Craniofacial Biology from the University of Southern California (USC).He has been practicing orthodontics in Monterey County and the South Bay Area since 2015.
Dr. Oviedo comes from a lineage of San Franciscans and will be the fifth successive generation of his family to call San Francisco home.He is also a second-generation orthodontist as his late father practiced in the Sacramento area for nearly 40 years. Dr. Oviedo belongs to numerous professional organizations and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Alice grew up in San Francisco and lives with her family just a few blocks from the practice. She volunteers at the local high school in her spare time where she served as President of the P.T.A. and was recently named the Parent of the Year.
Cindy graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.S. in Finance and from the City College of San Francisco Dental Assisting Program. She received her Registered Dental Assistant license in 2017. Cindy enjoys meeting and working with different people and loves orthodontics. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Addison is one of our other orthodontic assistants. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.S. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry. Addison loves interacting with the patients and working with his hands. We are fortunate to have him with us at least on a part-time basis while he studies for the Dental Aptitude Test and applies for Dental School.

Someone new in the office made a human error of double charging. Alice stepped in and did the research and talked to my bank to help me resolve this issue. My account looks like such a complete mess, but again Alice really help straight this out. We are not new patients. We have been to the office for a number of years and this had never happened before. Thank you Alice.

In my early 40s, my teeth kept moving closer and closer together. Although, my dental hygiene was very good, I continued to get cavities. I asked my dentist what I could do about the situation. She recommended that I get braces and referred me to Dr. Oviedo's practice. My experience at Dr. Oviedo's practice has been excellent. I'm extremely pleased pwith the outcome of my treatment. Dr. Oviedo is kind, compassionate and has a great sense of humor. Linda is always cheerful and I enjoy chatting with her while booking follow up visits. Joyce is also very helpful and thoughtful with her tips. I recommend Dr. Oviedo to anyone who is looking for an orthodontist. My daughters and I have had very positive experiences with his practice. If my youngest daughter needs orthodontic treatment, we will definitely go back to Dr. Oviedo.

Dr. Oveido has been a wonderful orthodontist for my daughter. As a parent, I appreciate his calm demeanor. He is patient and gentle which makes his patients comfortable. He is also very generous with his time and resources - caring more about his patients than his own time. Recently, Dr. Oveido made it a priority to stay after hours in order to accommodate a difficult summer schedule for our family. Instead of making my daughter wait a few weeks without a proper retainer, he made huge efforts to make sure her progress was not effected. Dr Oveido's team & staff ( Alice) are also incredibly nice and helpful!

I saw Dr Oviedo as an adult with a pretty complicated situation that required coordinating with a surgeon and gum specialist. He took charge of it all and provided me not only with great Orthodontic care but also a full dental plan across several specialists. He's a pleasure to work with, highly recommend!

Dr. Oviedo is a pleasure to work with. He and his staff created such a welcoming atmosphere that makes me happy to come into the clinic. I came to Dr. Oviedo looking to get Invisalign to fix my bite and he was extremely flexible to work within my timeline as well as take the time to explain the treatment process. We even met virtually after I had moved out of town. I highly recommend this clinic for your Orthodontics needs.

Chris and his team are really great people, I was traumatized by a dentist when I was young and it's still hard for me to go, but Chris was really relaxing, I'm grateful that he was willing to help and coordinate on a fairly special request, the service they provided was top notch, I felt they cared about my comfort and tried their best for everything. You can go with your eyes closed.

I have been a patient of Doctor Oviedo since November 2021. He is very knowledgeable and patient. I was scared when he fitted my Invisalign on the first day but he was so patient and kind. Whenever there is a change in treatment he calls and follows up to ask how I am doing. The staff is nice and friendly. I have been receiving excellent service. I am glad I decided to come here.

My daughter got her braces here. Her smile is beautiful. The staff are very warm and professional. Alice has always helped us with getting the services my daughter needs to upkeep her perfect smile. Alice is wonderful!!! Dr. Oviedo is a very good orthodontist, great with patient care. We absolutely recommend this orthodontics clinic.

My dentist recommended Dr. Oviedo to me for Invisalign because of his experience. I had previously checked out three other places before deciding to go with this one, and am very happy with my choice! I felt the most comfortable here, and knowing that my dentist also recommended him gave me peace of mind. I feel like he is genuine about helping people and is not in it for the money, unlike other places I have checked out. His office is nicely decorated and clean, but not overly flashy, and he has great bedside manner. All of the staff are also very kind, and would give me small little gifts such as really nice chocolate and tons of pens. At one point I had to refuse the pens because they gave me so many of them. Haha. I'm nearing the end of my Invisalign treatment now, and even though the office is far from my home, I will miss coming here! I had a very painless and successful experience here. Highly recommend Dr. Oviedo for Invisalign!

Dr. Oviedo is a thoughtful and kind dentist. He checks in frequently to make sure you are comfortably suctioned during Invisalign fittings. He and his staff wash their hands before interacting with myself and patients. He also explains the plan, asks for your input and proceeds after the plan has been agreed upon. I'm so glad I chose to have my Invisalign treatment with his practice. Linda and Alice greet me with a smize (smiling with eyes as we are in pandemic times with our masks!) every time I have to check in. Cindy and Joyce, the dental assistants are both patient and explain next steps about prep/follow up with ease. They have been flexible in scheduling and understanding when I ran behind for my appt due to a meeting. I appreciate the office as a whole and recommend friends and family check out his practice for a smooth Invisalign smile journey!! Thank you again Dr. Oviedo! I'm cheesing BIG all the way on my drive home

Dr. Oviedo and his staff provide excellent care and are kind, efficient, thorough, and responsive. Dr. Oviedo is fantastic with my son and takes time to answer any questions we may have, and his friendly staff works to makes sure we get an appointment that fits our scheduling needs. Dr. Oviedo is also on time with our appointments, so we are seen right away and don't have to wait. I highly recommend his practice!

During the COVID pandemic, I noticed pain in my lower teeth and jaw and felt like my teeth were beginning to shift. I made an appointment with my regular dentist and he told me I was going to need braces to adjust my jaw and to fix the pain in my teeth. He recommend Dr. Oviedo and I honestly couldn't be happier! The team is absolutely amazing and able to speak to you so you understand the game plan of orthodontic your care. It's really like a family there. Because I'm 23, I wasn't exactly excited to have regular metal braces, but Dr.Oviedo was able to set me on the Invisalign track!!! Because I'm in college and renting an apartment, I'm a bit limited on money, I mean braces are always expensive right? His team was MORE than helpful with setting me on a payment plan that was affordable and easy to follow. Dr. Oviedo is just the friendliest and has been more than helpful with my Invisalign journey. You can really tell that he cares about his patients, his team, and has a true passion for his work. 20/10 and I highly recommend this practice to any one in need of a GREAT orthodontist!
