Christopher J. Kim, DDS, BSME, Inc. - A graduate of UC Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Kim was involved in the Aerospace Industry before dedicating his professional life to dentistry. Dr. Kim was one of the original researchers and developers of the Liquid Cooling Chassis for F14 and A12 Fighting Aircrafts.

After completing his dental studies at University of the Pacific San Francisco, he started his practice in San Jose and has been practicing as an exceptional dentist for over twenty years. Dr. Kim is a member of the Santa Clara Dental Society, American Dental Association, and California Dental Association.

Because of his ongoing commitment to dental health, Dr. Kim provides each of his patients ample time to explain dental procedures to put even the most anxious patient at ease. When you walk into the office, you are the most important person. His commitment is to provide every patient the highest standard of personalized dental care in a calming atmosphere and with friendly staff. Dr. Kim treats his patients as special individuals to build a foundation of trust, which he believes is vital to his success.

To best provide advanced comprehensive dental care, Dr. Kim continues to seek training. He has earned more than hundreds of credit hours in numerous specialties including root canal therapy, crown and bridgework, and implants. Throughout the years he has done thousands of root canals, implants and also retreats previously done failing root canals. His detail-oriented quality of work will bring you back for years to come.

Dr. Jennie Koo is an honors graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry, where she received first-rate training in general dentistry. In the past, she received a BA Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from University of California, Berkeley. She is an active member of the Santa Clara Dental Society, the American Dental Association and California Dental Association. Dr. Koo is dedicated to providing the very best care for her patients. Her goal is to provide comprehensive treatment to both adults and children to improve smiles and oral health. She is known for being very patient, kind and gentle -- taking time to talk to her patients to make sure that they are comfortable and at ease with the procedures. She is relentless in trying to challenge herself by taking many continuing education courses to perfect all aspects of her dentistry and to stay current with the latest technology and advances in dentistry. She is committed to understanding the needs and desires of each patient that comes into our office.

Dr. Ashley H. Kim is a graduate of UC San Francisco School of Dentistry, where she received her degree of doctor of dental surgery. She received her BS Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from University of California, San Diego. Dr. Ashley Kim is a standing member of the Santa Clara Dental Society and California Dental Association. She has been practicing family dentistry performing a full scope of dental procedures. She welcomes patients of all ages, and is known to work well with children. She takes pride in keeping her dental knowledge current by attending continuing education courses, study clubs and conventions every year going far beyond the regulated requirements. She loves her profession and the satisfaction that comes from making smiles healthier and brighter.

Dr. Jason Lee received his Bachelor of Science degree in BioMedical Engineering from the University of California in Irvine and worked as an engineer before pursuing his passion in dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and went on to gain further training with more complex dental procedures through UOPs Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. He is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the San Francisco Dental Society. For Dr. Lee, dentistry is more than working on teeth. It is about taking time to listen to his patients needs and concerns so that he may deliver customized dental care. But most importantly, it is about building lasting relationships and helping you to achieve a lifetime of optimal oral health and healthy smiles.

Dr. Lydia Hou received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor of Art degree in Neurobiology from the University of California Berkeley. She then worked as a research associate in a pulmonary lab at UCSF before pursuing her career as a dentist. Dr. Lydia Hou is an active member of the Santa Clara County Dental Society, California Dental Association and American Dental Association. She constantly updates her dental knowledge by attending continuing education courses. She strives to provide comprehensive care to all her patients in a friendly and comfortable environment. In her free time, she enjoys yoga and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Janice Hwang received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California, San Francisco. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and is also a student member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Hwangs main goal in dentistry is to serve her community by providing quality aesthetic dentistry while emphasizing the importance of building relationships with her patients. She sincerely listens to her patients concerns and works with them to fulfill their needs. In the past, Dr. Hwang has created dental mission opportunities to Honduras for dentists and dental students to provide care for underserved communities. She has traveled to Honduras five times and continues to share her love for serving others.

Dr. Stephan Yoon is a Specialist in Orthodontics and Board-Certified Diplomate on the American Board of Orthodontics. He is an orthodontist who loves seeing his patients become healthier and happier with confident and beautiful smiles. He received his BA in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of CA, Berkeley, where he was awarded numerous scholarships including the I.L. Chiakoff Award in Neurobiology. Dr. Yoon completed his dental training at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He obtained his MS in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences and orthodontic certificate from the University of CA, San Francisco. Outside of his dream job, Dr. Yoon enjoys many outdoor activities including snowboarding, hiking, cycling, and traveling. During the winter season, he is often seen on the slopes in Lake Tahoe testing his limits. Dr. Yoon has a deep commitment for volunteer work and has participated on dental and orphanage mission trips in Honduras and Guatemala. Dr. Yoon is a certified Invisalign provider. He is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontics and American Dental Association.

Dr. Semi Lim finished her undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before pursuing her dental degree and specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She is an assistant professor at University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Lim has received a number of awards for education excellence. These include distinctions in the American Academy of Periodontology Annual Meeting Presentation, distinctions in the Tri-school Periodontics Conference Oral Presentation, and distinctions in the Northeast Implant Symposium Presentation. She has advanced clinical experiences in: Comprehensive Periodontal Therapy, Guided Tissue Regeneration, Periodontal Plastic & Esthetic Surgery, Implant Treatment Planning & Placement and Sinus Elevation and ridge augmentation Procedures.

Dr. Lim is a board certified periodontist and a scholar of International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She is a member of all relevant dental societies including the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and California Society of Periodontists. Dr. Lim provides the highest quality periodontics in a friendly environment for all ages and she enjoys providing the best care for her patients. She loves to work closely with patients. She believes that communication and clear understanding are the most important keys in achieving the best outcomes. Treatment options, advantages and disadvantages are always presented and discussed with patients. Thus, you can expect an individualized treatment with the utmost care and respect.

Christia Tamse-Manalac received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at the University of California, Davis. She then went on to graduate as an honors student in the Dental Hygiene program at Carrington College of California in Sacramento. She is currently attaining her advanced licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in an Alternate Practice at the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni school of Dentistry. Christia's main goal is to provide quality, comfortable and comprehensive dental hygiene care and education. She strives to provide thorough and gentle teeth cleanings, and is very passionate about her work. Christia is an active member of the American Dental Hygienist Association. She keeps her knowledge current through continuing education classes and by participating in dental hygiene outreach programs both locally and internationally.

Erica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry at California State University of Eastbay in Hayward, CA and worked as a Dental Assistant for about 10 years before continuing her career in Dental Hygiene. She received her 2nd Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at West Coast University in Anaheim, CA and went on to further enhance her credentials at University of the Pacific (UOP) in San Francisco, CA by specializing in Alternative Practice. With over 18 years of experience in the dental field, Erica has adapted to all types of patients and is very accommodating to anyone needs. Her goal is to provide the best quality of care and a pleasurable dental experience.

Vy graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Foothill College. After a few years of working as a Registered Dental Assistant, she decided she wanted to pursue dental hygiene as a career. She truly enjoys being a part of the dental team and is passionate about educating her patients on not only how to maintain their oral health, but also on ways to improve their overall health and well-being.

Desiree graduated from Carrington College and has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant prior to becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist. Shes always had an interest in the dental field and strives to learn about new technologies. She is persistent in expanding her knowledge in dental hygiene by committing to continuing education courses in order to provide the best possible patient care.

Sunny is our office manager and has been in the dental profession with Dr. Kim for over 20 years. She is enthusiastic and dedicated to our services and completely committed to providing the best possible experience for our patients from the moment they walk into our office. Sunny has both managerial skills and dental assisting expertise to help patients to the fullest potential by serving their needs.

Veronica is our insurance coordinator and has been with Dr. Kim for over 20 years. She specializes in insurance verification, claim processing and pre-authorization of treatment estimates. Veronica oversees insurance and helps with assisting when needed. She has a caring personality with a warm smile that makes patients feel very welcome and comfortable.
