Dr. Swanson started her professional career in Northwest Edina over 25 years ago. In 2005 she was privileged to purchase her current solo practice from Dr. Art Swanstrom, who came from a three generation dental family legacy. Since then, she enjoys continuing the care of these patients and feels privileged that so many of her previous patients have joined her here.
I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know the patients and helping them in any way that I can. I have been fortunate to work in the dental industry for over 15 years and hold a degree in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources. When not at the office I love spending time with my husband and three children. I also enjoy boating, walking and reading but most of all watching my children participating in their many activities.
I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental Hygiene Program and have found my career to be very fulfilling. Building relationships with the patients and seeing improved results in their oral health has always been my goal.
I am happy to be reunited with Dr. Swanson after working together for 18 years, plus reconnecting with patients has been rewarding. Working alongside Dr. Swansons team of skilled professionals makes each day satisfying as we provide individual treatment to each patient.
Im a well-rounded assistant of 20+ years. My experiences range from geriatric, prosthodontics, oral surgery and of course, general dentistry. Getting to know patients and helping each of them achieve a healthy smile are my daily goals.
I graduated from Normandale Community College while dual enrolled at Metropolitan State University and received my A.S. and B.S. in dental hygiene. I was born and raised in Minnesota. Winter is my favorite season. Educating and helping my patients become healthier is my passion and goal as a hygienist. I have three cats, Barbara, Jazz, and Twix that keep me company. When I am not working, I enjoy sewing and watching movies.
I am so blessed to be working with the Swanson Dental Team. Dentistry is such a rewarding career and I have been in the dental industry for 25 years. It has been so much fun getting to know all of our patients. I started my education at Normandale Community College. Most of my dental knowledge is self-taught. I started my dental career working in a dental lab and eventually became one of the owners. After 18 years of dental lab experience I decided to pursue a career working in a dental office.
I enjoy gardening in containers in the Spring and Summer, Summer boating and Fall campfires. I also enjoy cooking and baking, especially when I get to try new recipes. I love spending time with my family that live in Minnesota and Grandchildren that live in Nebraska.
Originally a Rochester, MN native, I made the move to the metro area for a much needed change of scenery. The transition from one great dental office to another amazing one has been easy. I am enjoying the passion that Dr. Swanson has about patient care. I have been in dental administration since 2015.
My greatest love is cooking and being a self-proclaimed foodie. Im hoping to create a cookbook in the near future! There are so many restaurants up here that I have an opportunity to try so many types of food that I havent had the chance to enjoy yet. I love going on walks and exploring nature. Since Im new here I have a lot of opportunity to be in awe of what the cities has to offer.
Im brand new to Dr. Swansons clinic. I wish I had found her sooner! She and her entire staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful people you are likely to find in a clinical setting. Respectful, good listeners, efficient, fair pricing, and thorough.
