Dr. Christine Phan, A.K.A Dr. Phantastic, attended the University of South Florida , as an undergraduate, and then studied at the Temple University School of Dentistry, where she received her D.M.D. (Doctor of Medical Dentistry). She has enjoyed practicing family and cosmetic dentistry since 1998.
Dr. Phan desire to provide patients with the highest quality of care in all aspects of dentistry including implants and invisible braces. Dr. Phan successfully completed many advanced dental training and she regularly attends seminars and classes featuring the latest in dental technology and procedures.

Invisalign involves a series of clear plastic aligner trays that discreetly fit over the teeth. As an Invisalign dentist, our team straightens teeth using a series of aligners. First, an impression of your teeth is taken so that a series of aligners can be created in a dental lab. The aligners themselves are made out of a thermoplastic material that is strong and at the same time flexible in order to be comfortable when worn for long periods of time. The material is virtually invisible.
The aligners should be worn for 22 hours a day and every two weeks; they need to be switched out with the next one in the series. Over a period of months, the aligners will slowly move teeth into place, making one minor adjustment at a time that is targeted to specific teeth. This helps your teeth to be comfortable as they are moved into position at a manageable pace. Once you are done wearing your aligners, your teeth should be perfectly straight.

An attachment is a clear bump that is made of an enamel colored composite and secured to the teeth. Bumps on your aligners will grip them in order to hold the aligner in place. Ridges work in a similar way only an indent is created instead of a raised bump. This can be necessary for more complicated cases to ensure that a particular tooth, or several teeth, move into place like they should.
Unlike wearing traditional braces, Invisalign will not make a major impact on your quality of life. Since the aligners are clear, it will not impact your appearance. Additionally, since they only need to be worn for 22 hours a day, they will not interfere with eating. This is a huge advantage because you can eat your favorite plate of ribs, go out for a romantic date, eat a caramel apple without worrying about something becoming stuck in your teeth or a wire being pulled out of place. This time also allows you to take the aligner out when having an important conversation or making a presentation at work. I have finally found my preferred dentist! I have always had bad luck with dentists in the past, which is why I avoid it as much as possible. However, Dr. Phan is amazing and completely honest. She really knows what she's doing and works with the patient to make sure they get what they want/need. I felt so comfortable even though it had been almost 4 years since my last visit. I didn't even feel anything on the chair! I will definitely be coming back here as long as she's there, it is obvious she cares about my smile. Her team is also just as amazing. It really is a team effort, nothing but good vibes.

Extraordinary, I had a bad dental experience when I was a child and it kept me away from the dentist office for a long time. I could not feel the injection one bit, nor the procedure. Expert work was done on a couple of problematic teeth and I am very satisfied with the end result. 6/5 stars.

Dr. Phan honestly is the best Dentist I have ever been too. I'm very grateful for Dr. Phan. I've never been so grateful for anyone being a Doctor. I called as a very nervous & anxious patient, as I had a true fear of the dentist, due to past experiences at other Dental Offices. My teeth weren't in good shape, after not being to a dentist in going on 16 years. Since I was a teenager, & I'm currently in my early 30s'/ Dr. Phan & I made a plan to remove very 4 difficult wisdom teeth & an additional tooth at one time. The procedure went very smooth, very minimal pain. I went home with very clear instructions & prescriptions. Two days into the recovery I was feeling 100% better & was recovering very well. All bleeding stopped the same day of the procedures & the days after were just the days I needed to recover. Since any recovery takes time. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else to do this. Nico & Isabella are also very nice, provided great service, & are extremely understanding & knowledgeable. The chair-side manner I received was incredible. The best I ever received from any Dental Facility. Dr. Phan is now my FOREVER dentist. If you are nervous, have anxiety, fear of the dentist; I HONESTLY highly recommend giving Dr. Phan a chance to make you comfortable & to help with any dental needs or concerns. I normally don't give out online reviews, but my experience with Dr. Christine and Nico was nothing short of impressive and memorable. I was scheduled to have an extraction done with a local dentist, but felt uneasy and uncertain about the procedure more so than their exorbitant fees. Searched and reviewed a few other local dental offices to get a second opinion and I stumbled upon their website. Christine and Nico invited me in for a consultation to explain everything (most importantly the why and how). In a few words, I left the office feeling comfortable and informed. Really appreciated their transparency and ability to make me feel at home. I have found my new dentist.

Dr. Phan is a professional and an expert in her field I discovered her since my previous dentist was running a factory-like operation with their unacceptable wait times of 1-2hrs. I came into the office as a first time client into Dr. Phan's office and was warmly greeted by both her and Nico. I already felt a level of comfort and trust in the office atmosphere. I came in for a check up and was told and showed what was needed to be worked on as well as just the history of my teeth health. I felt a sigh of relief as I had not been to the dentist in a long time. You can tell that Dr. Phan and office is very passionate and talented at what they do every day with clients. I would highly recommend anyone coming from any part of LA county to check them out. I made the trek from Calabasas all the way to Hawthorne because I found it worthwhile! I give them 2 thumbs up!
