Dr. Ford was the first woman periodontist inSonoma County and has been practicing since 1983. She received her Postgraduate Training in Periodontics from the University of California, San Francisco. She also received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Ford enjoyed teaching Periodontics in the dental hygiene program at the Santa Rosa Junior College. She is the mother of two wonderful daughters. Dr. John M. Bozanich D.D.S. M.S. It is with great pleasure that I introduce my new associate, John M. Bozanich, D.D.S., M.S., who joins me in providing quality periodontal care and implant supported treatment to our patients. A native of Texas, John completed his B.A. degree in Biology at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 2011. He then went on to practice as a general dentist in Austin, Texas for 5 years. It was during this time that John decided to pursue has passion and return to school to complete his Graduate Periodontics training with a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science in Oral Biology at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 2019. John is also trained in I.V. Sedation and will be able to provide this option to our patients in the near future.
To stay up-to-date with the latest periodontal and implantology therapies, Dr. Bozanich maintains membership in the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the Redwood Empire Dental Society (REDS), the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Though John may be new to living in Sonoma County, he has frequented the area since his youth; visiting family on his mother's side who live in Santa Rosa. John also has a brother living in San Francisco. When not engaged in clinical practice, John enjoys being outdoors, training for various long-distance running races, camping, hiking and enjoying all that the wine country has to offer.
On your first visit to our office, before any therapy is undertaken, we will provide you with the necessary examination. Following your examination, we will discuss the periodontal treatment that will be best, the options for treatment, fees for the treatment, and the risks to your oral health if appropriate treatment is not completed. With this information, you will be able to make an informed decision regarding your treatment.
