Comparing to my original dentist, cleaning is too quick to get it done perfectly. Teeth filing is also very so-so. I can still feel the pain 3 weeks after which is unusual. And now I have been back to my previous one to get it double checked......

The doctor has no respect and sympathy for patients. The doctor is quite arrogant. I went to see the doctor as an emergency patient on 06/20 at Christine Dental at EI Camino. I was initially diagnosed with a Xray. Then I made an appointment with the doctor at 11:15 at Rivermark for 06/21. *I was told my bottom teeth will be thoroughly treated on 06/21. * However, when I call the front desk on 06/21 morning, the front desk told me the doctor appointment is now at 11:45 and I need to be there around 11:30 to check the insurance information first. I went to the Rivermark place at 11:45. It was my fault to be late for sure. She said she is a very busy person and I need to be on time. I apologized and I told her since I was late, we can immediately start the treatment and check the insurance information later. *Then she told me she has an appointment with another patient at 12 and she can only temporarily treat my bottom teeth for today.* I asked her how long the thorough treatment would take and she told me she needs one hour to treat my bottom teeth thoroughly. She said I have to come back after one week to treat the same teeth thoroughly since she will be on vocation for one week. However, I was told the bottom teeth would be thoroughly treated at the first place on 06/20. First, I want to treat my teeth thoroughly with one appointment since I am in pain. Moreover, I have to pay twice if I have to do one temporary treatment and another following total treatment later, which makes things harder for me economically. So I left and I told here I will call back to reschedule later if needed.

Dr Lee is very nice person and very professional in doing what she knows. But think twice when she starts to drill your teeth... you could end up having root canal due to dead nerves and the days of pain till you found out then too late.

I had not been to the dentist in about 8 years due to lack of insurance, inability to pay insurance copays, etc. My husband and I made an appointment with Dr. Lee on a Saturday, and she just did my first cavity fillings today (Monday). I was kind of nervous, because I've never had a cavity filling before. Dr. Lee made me very comfortable, and explained everything as she went along. Completely painless experience. Dr. Lee and her staff are all very nice, too! :)

Get a second opinion before you let her drill into your teeth.

I've had bad experiences with several other dentist, but Christine is amazing. She is friendly, patient and very thorough. My last dentist missed a lot of cavities that would have become root canals. Christine found them and fixed them before they became an issue. She's also great with kids. I highly recommend her to anyone.

I had been up for thirty-six hours straight with shooting pains in my jaw. Dr. Lee took me in immediately after I called her, took the requisite X-rays, made her diagnosis, and began the first of two root canals on my molars. She explained her diagnosis and the X-rays and made me feel extremely comfortable during the procedures. Her office accommodated my busy work schedule as well during the followup procedures. Dr. Lee's and her professional staff made my visits to her office enjoyable, which is a very odd thing to say about a trip to the dentist! But that's really just a testament to the quality of patient care at her office!

Dr Christine Lee and Ellie (I think that was her name) were just great to work with! We were concerned that our 2.5 year old had a cavity and he was not cooperative with the general dentist we took him to see. We found and saw Dr. Lee because she was open to working with little ones, and though my son was very resistant and hard to work with, they were incredibly patient and tried their best to calm him down. In the end, he cried and resisted the whole time, but they were super patient and delicate with him while they examined and cleaned his teeth. We thought he needed xrays and we were ready to do that, but Dr Lee took a look at his teeth first, and was confident that there was no cavity, so recommended we not get an x-ray. We appreciated not putting him through the trouble of getting xrays, or putting us through the extra expense. We really appreciated the care Dr Lee gave our child and would highly recommend her too anyone, especially anyone with young children.

Stayed late to fit me in as a drop-in on a busy Saturday, saving me from a root canal. Thank you!

I started seeing Dr. Lee post college, and had been a bit skeptical of her service given how fast her teeth cleaning sessions were, and how she never offered any additional advice unless asked. What really turned me away from her practice was a few weeks ago during a routine examination when she told me -- while my chair was descending -- that I would require two root canals in the molars adjacent my remaining wisdom teeth. She then proceeded to insert teeth cleaning equipment in my mouth, and I had to stop her during a pause to sit up and ask for more details regarding the diagnosis. She gave me an irritated look and said "we're not done yet [with the teeth cleaning]". Then when I asked her about my wisdom teeth, she said "ideally you would take them out before the root canal, but I can still do it. It would be more risky." But she didn't proceed to define the "risk" nor say anything else. I went back down to finish my teeth cleaning and Dr. lee rushed back to her other patient. I also found it very suspicious when the secretary informed me (since Dr. Lee refused to give me any more of her time) that Dr. Lee herself would be performing the root canal. Most dental places refer this procedure out, and given how heavy-handed Dr. Lee is at everything, I had absolutely no confidence in her to perform this procedure on me. I then proceeded to check out Dr. Valerie Gilman via a friend's referral. Dr. Gilman explained everything in depth with me, and told me that wisdom teeth extraction was the PRIORITY (in contrast to Dr. Lee claiming she could do the root canal without). Dr. Gilman even told me she would hold off on the root canal until I got the panoramic x-rays from the oral surgeon. Again, in stark contrast to Dr. Lee who immediately told me I would need TWO root canals. Dr. Gilman's office also refers root canals out to specialists. I feel so much more at ease having switched dentists -- the quality of attention at Dr. Lee's office just didn't exist and I do not recommend her, unless all you want is a quick teeth cleaning session twice a year.

9/25/2018 - upgrading to 3 stars because Dr. Lee called me and I want her to have a better review rating. Be careful. Christine Lee performs unnecessary dental work and charges to the insurance company. Crown price is too high too. Shop around for the quality dentists (with much better price). She is not keeping the promise either. I'm done with her. I'm very happy with Dr. Jason Lee in Christoper Kim DDS. :-)
