She developed a passion for dentistry after her brother was diagnosed with aggressive periodontal disease at the age of 17. Witnessing his journey to oral rehabilitation cemented her decision to enter the dental profession.
Upon graduating from Boston College with a degree in comparative literature and a pre-dental concentration, she pursued her dream of becoming a dentist by enrolling at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ and graduating with honors in 2014. While in dental school, she served as President of the National Dental Association- New Jersey student chapter and organized numerous community service events to promote oral health.
After dental school, Dr. Bastien completed a post-graduate General Dentistry Residency at Christiana Care Health Systems in Delaware where she was able to hone in her skills in many aspects of general dentistry such as pediatrics, cosmetics, endodontics, restorative crown and bridge, complete and partial dentures as well as implant dentistry.
Dr. Bastien believes that treating patients is a privilege and her mission is to provide high quality and comprehensive dental care to all. She strives to advance her dental training and has already completed extensive post-graduate courses in endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and implants. Dr. Bastien is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware State Dental Society and the Academy of General dentistry.
Dr. Bastien is committed to community service and participates in a yearly dental mission trip to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. She is fluent in French, Haitian, Creole, Spanish, and is currently studying Polish. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, reading, dancing, playing the violin, yoga and exploring Delaware.

I love my going this office! The dentist, hygienist, staff, and billing Call Our friendly experienced people! You will walk into this dentist office and not have to go and get a referral to an oral surgeon because they do everything there; whether you need a root canal or cosmetic surgery or just a general cleaning. I was referred by my husband who was referred by Husband and brother-in-law and they've been going there for years. I will never change dentists. again. Do you do a heart problem, they make sure that that's cared for when they take care of my teeth. I just want to welcome Dr. Kim to the practice. I've been with them since before moving locations and before becoming CPD; over 35 years. Entire staff is friendly, courteous and very familiar with everyone that walks through the door. LOVE the way they make me comfortable about routine checkups and very informative on explaining things easy for one to understand. Great bedside manners, never make me feel they are rushing to get to next patient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ALL AGES AND DENTAL NEEDS
