Dr. Kjeldsen (pronounced Kelson) has been serving as a General Dentist in Petaluma since 1996 and has established a reputation as being professional, gentle, and kind with high integrity, listening, and having a genuine concern for his patients. He strives to make every visit a great experience.
Dr. Kjeldsen knew that he wanted to become a dentist when he was a young child. After studying biology at UC Davis and Sonoma State, he continued his education at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he became a Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduating in 1995, he achieved his goal of starting a dental practice in Sonoma County, where he was raised. Through his strong work ethic and kind and caring personality, he has built up a thriving practice.
In 2010 Dr. Kjeldsen moved his office to a more central location in Petaluma, providing his patients with a brand new office and leading-edge dental equipment. Dr. Kjeldsen has been a dentist in Petaluma since 1996 and is an Expert Consultant for the Dental Board of California.
Dr. Kjeldsen uses the best and latest techniques in order to provide the highest quality of dentistry to his patients. He frequently attends continuing education courses on many aspects of dentistry. Dr. Kjeldsen has a genuine concern for his patients and their dental health. The office strives to provide an excellent dental experience in a caring and friendly environment.
Dr. Kjeldsen lives in West Petaluma with his wife, Whitney, and their three sons. Dr. Kjeldsen loves spending time with his family and in his spare time, enjoys cycling, mountain biking, hiking, playing basketball, reading, eating good food, and traveling.

Trale Broudy, RDH:Trale graduated from Santa Rosa Junior Colleges Dental Hygiene Program in 2010 and has been working for Dr. Kjeldsen since. His primary concern is always for the patients health and he works hard to make sure that each patient receives optimal care. Trale is also an adjunct faculty instructor in the SRJCs dental programs and a board member of the Redwood Dental Hygienists Society. As a former professional baker, Trale founded the Village Bakery in Sebastopol and now enjoys baking as a hobby. He lives in Sebastopol with his wife, two daughters, and dog.
Sarah was adopted from China as an infant and raised in Sonoma County. For eight years she lived in Florida where she earned her MFA in Studio Art and Illustration. It was there that she worked for five years as an illustrator for A Beka Books Publishing and briefly instructed art classes. In 2015, she moved to Flagstaff, Arizona for a few years before making her way back to Sonoma County.
Dr. Kjeldsens wife, Whitney, worked in the travel industry until they opened the dental practice in 1996. She was the Office Manager until they started a family in 1999. Whitney stayed home with the boys and worked for the office from behind the scenes. In 2017, Whitney decided to return to the travel industry, now having over 25 years of travel and planning experience. Designs For Travel is a website and blog, helping people travel the world with detailed itineraries, travel tips, and packing guides!

Chris has always been kind and gentle as he cleans my teeth and fills the occasional cavity. Sometimes I feel pretty anxious at dentists and he always goes as slow as I need and explains everything he's doing. I would highly recommend him for adults or kids!

Dr.Kjeldsen is by far the best! I even come from out of town to see him :) For over 25 years he has been taking care of my teeth with care and expertise and I would never go anywhere else.

I am scared of dentists. I do not go to dentists. My wife made an appointment for me with Christian Kjeldsen based on a recommendation. I was terrified the night before and the morning of the appointment. Christian and his team made me feel welcome and tried to make me feel comfortable. He and they are awesome. The dentist was gentle and attentive which is the most I can ask. I am still scared of the dentist but have an appointment booked in 90 days! I will update after that visit but I would strongly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist in Petaluma. Cheers Nick

Always a pleasant visit at the dentist. I have been going to Dr. Kjeldsen since I was a child. Moved away and came back due to my father being in the military and he was one of the only dentist that took our insurance. Now I have referred my husband who hates the dentist but says that Dr. Kjeldsen makes it a easier time.
