Dr. Gregory Christensen grew up in Waterloo, IA and graduated from West High School in 1984. He attended the University of Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1988. After 6 years at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Dr. Christensen returned home to Waterloo with a Masters of Science and Certificate of Orthodontics and Dental Facial Orthopedics. He has practiced orthodontics in Northeast Iowa since 1994.
Dr. Michael Freeseman grew up in Ackley, IA and graduated from Ackley-Geneva High School. He attended Iowa State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Biology in 1990. Dr. Freeseman then spent 4 years studying at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Next, he earned a Masters of Science and Certificate of Orthodontics and Dental Facial Orthopedics following an additional 2 years in orthodontic residency at the University of Iowa. Soon after, Dr. Freeseman moved to Waterloo and has been practicing in Northeast Iowa since 1996.
Dr. Richter was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa and is the grandson of Dr. Sam Christensen, one of the original founders of the practice. A graduate of Waterloo West High School, Andy then spent ten years in Iowa City earning his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees, and his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Richter was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and served as chief resident during his Orthodontic residency. Dr. Richter is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Over 70 years ago, Drs. Sam Christensen, Glenn Miller and Dewey Felcher established a group dental practice specializing in orthodontic and pediatric dental care. Later on, Drs. Ross Christensen, Harold Buzz Bigelow and Roger Day continued to build on that reputation. Now Drs. Greg Christensen, Mike Freeseman, and Andy Richter carry on our long-standing tradition of providing quality orthodontic care to residents of Northeast Iowa. Over the past 7 decades, the doctors names have changed, but the level of our care has not.

They extracted a molar and my cheek was tore so bad it took about a month to heal, it still has scar tissue back in corner, kept telling me over phone its normal and pain would go away...i wouldnt go there again if it was only one in Iowa, had another molar extracted since at a good dentist (not ortho) in wloo area, they didnt rip out my cheek at all....very seriously considered lawsuit

It was a great experience for my son and I. Everyone was always friendly. The appointments were always very fast easy in easy out. We always recommend Dr. Freesman. We will be going back for our 2nd son as well.

I have really enjoyed the service and care from this office for my daughter . They all always caring, flexible and service is prompt (little to no wait time before appointments). I love it so much that I started my orthodontics journey today!

My wife got her braces here for her lower teeth! It was great. They accommodate her with the time available they also understand when you can't make to your appointment and just reschedule you without hassle. Dr. Ritcher was great he explains the procedures every appointment and always ask if She do haveE questions and concerns.

Dr richter and every bit of staff I ever talked to at this place was absolutely phenomenal and a pleasure to deal with! I was there a lot to! I was a pain in thee rear needing late apointments to not miss work. Ik doctor richter is young and new at what he does. But he's going to be around and doin his thing for a long time! When it comes time my kiddos need braces I truly hope he's still around so I can come to him for good quality work! And also to bs with the staff cause I truly enjoyed everyone of them! Thank you sooo much dr richter and staff for my new smile and just simply being a pleasure to deal with in every way!

I've had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mike Freeseman and his team for many years as he's had 5 of my children as patients. He and his entire staff are not only professional but personable. His knowledge and skills are unmatched and I definitely recommend him!

Very horrible! All they want is your money & if you aren't giving it you can't be a patient here!. Had braces for a couple of years & had gotten a wire on the bottom of my teeth to keep my teeth from moving... A couple years later I see my teeth move back to where they once were. I called to schedule an appointment to see what my options were. Freeman said he was going to put just a brace or two on the bottom to move ONE tooth back. Appointment was scheduled... BECAUSE I MISSED ONE -TWO appointments in a couple years. He no longer wants to see me. BUT when I gave him half a deposit for braces and 250 dollars every month payment plan he was okay seeing me. This place has turned into a HUGE joke! If you have an issue with people having everyday lives and forgetting about appointments you should change your policy about no call no shows to appointments & have patience sign policy not just make rules as you go.

I love these guys! They have made my braces experience a BLAST! Freesman is amazing, and though I haven't met Christensen, I'm sure he's a perfectly nice guy. Whenever I have a problem, I get in as soon as possible. Thanks guys!
