Dr. Karavolas was born in Salem, MA, and raised in Madison, WI. He completed his undergraduate study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He went on to attend the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction. After dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Illinois Masonic Hospital.
Dr. Karavolas moved to Massachusetts and joined his cousin Dr. John Caravolas to form a family dental practice in 1994. He is also active in organized dentistry with membership to the American Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, and Middlesex Dental society.
Dr. Karavolas along with his wife Lisa and two children Harry and Annie reside in Needham MA. Chris is active in his community by volunteering as a hockey as well as baseball coach. In this spare time, he enjoys golf and running.
Dr. Karavolas is committed to offering exceptional care to his patients and staff. He values treating everyone that walks through his doors with dignity and respect and looks forward to supporting all of your dental health needs.
Dr. Duka received his DDS degree in 2001 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila Bucharest. Moving to Boston from his native Albania, Dr. Duka attended and graduated with honors from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Advanced Standing Program. Upon receiving his DMD degree, Dr. Duka was immediately invited to join the faculty at the pre-doctoral program at BUGSDM, where he currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the Emergency and Oral Diagnosis Department. In addition to his work at BUGSDM, he has for many years involved himself in scientific research, publishing in well-known scientific journals. Dr. Duka is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and Metropolitan District Dental Society.
Dr. Duka and his wife have been part of multiple community projects such as the Special Olympics Special Smiles, Medical Missions for Children, and the Alpha Omega Henry Schein Cares Holocaust Survivors Oral Health Program in addition to many more. Outside of the office, Dr. Duka enjoys traveling, soccer, biking, and spending time with his family and young children named Alex and Elise.
Dr. Taylor earned his dental degree from McGill University in Montreal, then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of the Pacific. He is a faculty dentist at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) founder of the HSDM Esthetics Society.
Dr. Taylor is a philanthropist who participates in charity clinics locally as well as overseas each year, donating his dental services to the less fortunate. One of his many passions is teaching dentistry at the University of Hue in Vietnam, in an effort to modernize clinical practice in that country
Prior to relocating to Boston, Dr. Taylor practiced in San Francisco and was the team dentist for the Oakland Raiders, the Golden State Warriors, and the San Francisco Golden Gate mens elite rugby team.
Christina is a highly skilled dental hygienist who joined the practice in 2020 and has already established herself as a favorite among our patients. A graduate of the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Cambridge, MA, Christina began her training at Northeastern and has been a practicing dental hygienist since 1994. Outside of the office, youre most likely to find Christina whipping up something delicious in the kitchen or enjoying quality time with her children.
Our dental hygienist Kristin joined the practice in 2020, fitting right in and bringing a wealth of experience with her. Kristins dental training began decades ago in Brookline, MA, where she worked as an assistant in a periodontal office for 15 years. Building on these skills, Kristin later completed dental hygiene school at Mount Wachusett in Gardner, MA, and has been a highly sought-after hygienist ever since. When not in the office, Kristin enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Stacey is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Mt. Ida College in 2008. Staceys leadership skills and commitment started as a patient years ago and transferred to the outstanding hygienist she is today. Staceys dedication to family translates to her exceptional care of her patients. When not in the office Stacey enjoys spending time with friends and family and especially her nephews. She also appreciates concerts and travels on her off days.
Claire has been a dental assistant for the past seventeen years, seamlessly transitioning from an enjoyable and successful career as a flight attendant. Following her completion of the Dental Assisting Program at Minuteman Tech, Claire chose to continue her education to obtain a CDA from the Dental Assisting National Board. Claires professionalism, attention to detail, and positive attitude have been appreciated by patients and staff alike since she began her dental career. Outside of the office, Claire prioritizes serving others and giving back to the community. She has volunteered with several organizations including the Shriners Burn Hospital and is currently with the Meals on Wheels program for the elderly. In her spare time, Claire enjoys yoga and gardening and is always looking for a new adventure.
Kat has been a dental assistant for over fifteen years. She transitioned to her career as a dental assistant because once upon a time she couldnt step foot inside the dentists office because of her anxiety with dental procedures. Kat enjoys learning and always finds time to attend continuing education courses to help her understand the patients needs better. In her spare time, Kat enjoys spending time with her family and friends traveling, and exploring new food hidden gems.
Carlee, a 2018 graduate of Shawsheen Tech, has been a valuable asset to our practice since joining the team as a registered dental assistant in 2020. She is committed to providing excellent care to her patients and believes a beautiful smile goes a long way toward making people feel good about themselves. Currently, a student in hygiene school, Carlees extensive skill set only continues to grow, and she is a joy to be around in the office. Outside of the office, Carlee enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family preferably at the beach!
