Having history of your most recent dental visits can be helpful for us to serve you better. Particularly your most recent Radiographs (X-Rays). We always attempt to minimize radiation. Even if we decide to take new ones it can be valuable to compare with previous images. If you have had a Cone Beam 3D X-Ray you may need to have it put on a DVD and hand carry it in. Often the patient must sign a release prior to a previous dentist sending the X-Rays digitally, which is optimal. Please contact your previous dentist and have them send the X-Rays digitally to office@SmileDesignCenter.US
Our friendly staff is dedicated to caring for you and your entire family's oral health and well-being. We take the time to create a personalized treatment for each patient and we offer a wide range of services. It is our goal to make your visit with us an extremely pleasant one and to send you home with a beautiful and healthy smile.
Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will listen to you, your concerns, hopes and expectations. We will take good records of your existing conditions, check your blood pressure and pH, and even do a Live Plaque Analysis where you get to see the status of the Microbiome living around your teeth.
For most patients we recommend a Comprehensive Exam which will most likely be the most thorough exam that you will ever have. These exams take time and a patient should be prepared to spend a few hours for the exam and the opportunity to have a detailed look inside your own mouth to see the conditions that exist using our Dental Microscope. This sets the stage for looking at the options that exist, and developing a treatment plan, which may be at a follow up visit. An initial hygiene visit is usually not scheduled at this time, as the diagnosis of the periodontal status of the patient will determine that best sequence of treatment to optimize gum health. In some situations where the patient is current with their health a new patient exam can be accomplished during an inital hygiene visit.

If you are lucky enough to be in the Beatles room you can experience the Laser Disc Concert Experience. If you are lucky you might catch Dr Brown with the Fender guitar on, singing a tune.
Dental insurance is an important benefit that many employers provide. It is an adjunct in helping to pay for dental services. The dental insurance company has many rules and regulations that are a contract between the patient and the insurance company. If a dentist agrees to participate with an insurance company he is often forced into abiding by the rules and agreements that favor the insurance company and their shareholders over the best interests of the patient and/or the dentist.
We work FOR the patient not the insurance company. On the other hand we are diligent in working WITH dental insurance companies and having patients understand their coverage and maximizing their insurance benefits.
Patients that have dental insurance are happy to see that they can use their insurance to be out of network. We will file insurance claims for our patients and with most insurance companies we will only collect the patients estimated co-pay. Please call our front desk to inquire about your insurance and how we can maximize the benefit for you.
Surprisingly with our technologies we can often save a tooth that another dentist may not be able to, and require a root canal or extraction and additional services. In these situations not being handcuffed by the insurance company, winds up saving not only the tooth but the patients money.

Dr Edwards and my hygenist Kelly are the two best dental professionals I have used in 60 years of dental care. They are technically proficient, extremely caring and accommodating of my special health challenges. I would never go anywhere else and if I had to move I would travel back to use them. As good as dental work gets, full stop. Thanks guys, you "rock"!

I have been seeing Dr. Edwards for many, many years! I am a person who has high anxiety when it comes to dental work. Previous dentists have made me feel bad about the condition of my teeth, which caused me to stay away. I found Dr. Edwards when I needed an emergency visit, and I have never been more pleased. The staff as well as the Dr. always make me feel important and safe. They have been patient with me, knowing how severe my anxiety is. The quality of work is impeccable. He has literally saved so many of my teeth from needing to be extracted. Dr. Edwards also never pushes me to get work that I don't need. He understands my financial concerns and is honest about what measures we need to take. He and his staff are professional and caring. He also uses state of the art equipment. I could go on and on, but this review is getting long enough! If you need a dentist who cares about you and your oral health, look no further than Dr. Edwards! I'm happy to say that I can now go to the dentist with a smile!

All the latest technology and very friendly office staff but we had some overall issues. Spent a significant amount of money to have a beautiful one day crown done only to need a root canal (which means having to drill through the brand new crown). In fairness I was told this would be a possibility but I'm not sure the chances of it happening were made clear. The "quote" they give you prior is apparently not very accurate. They charge you when you are there based on their estimate, then bill your insurance for the rest and we ended up getting an additional bill to pay the remainder (3 different times). My wife had trouble too and her teeth are extremely sensitive since he did her amalgam removals. He is a very professional/nice dentist, we just weren't happy with the end result and we felt the costs were high.

I had to find a new dentist after having two crowns done badly. There was decay under the new crowns. Dr. Edwards' office was very professional and provided a high tech survey of all of my teeth, and gave me a complete list of all the issues in order of seriousness, and a pricing estimate for each problem. The initial interview was almost an hour, but in that time they really got to understand everything about my teeth and my dental issues, as well as ones I was not aware of. What I like: 1 - they find small carries in the teeth with a laser measurement that allows you to do a preventative sandblast and epoxy procedure, thus preventing a full blown cavity that requires drill and fill. 2 - they do a precise job on any fillings and crowns 3 - they make the crowns in their office 4 - they model your teeth and crowns on 3D modeling software so the fit is perfect 5 - they do the most excellent dental work I have ever experienced Dr. Edwards and his team are really excellent. I have brought my whole family there now.

Drs Chris Edwards and Julia Bunker are so incredibly talented! The office atmosphere is very calming, the dental team is great and they really make you, the patient, feel comfortable. At no point in any of my visits did I question the competency or true talent both doctors demonstrated. I was absolutely blown away by how much technology was being used. From 3 different lasers, the microscope used while working on my teeth, and ozone therapy. Those are just a few of the cutting edge things that the doctors have on deck. Financials were discussed and arranged before time which put my mind to ease! I would recommend anyone and everyone to become patients here!
