Dr. Chris Doucet has been a Family and Cosmetic Dentist for over 24 years. Following in his father's career, he has practiced in Opelousas, LA since 1989. Since he grew up here, it was natural that he would come back to Opelousas to raise his family,and begin his dental career.
Dr. Doucet has attended the New Orleans Dental Conference almost every year since 1989. He has extensive education in restoring Dental Implants. He completed a year long practicum in Dental Implants. He also has completed extensive education in Dental Sleep Medicine.
With his relaxed, humorous and genuine personality, Dr. Doucet provides personal, caring procedures in a comfortable atmosphere. His rapport with his staff gives a pleasant 'at-home' welcoming feeling.
Andrea has worked with Dr. Doucet for 24 plus years. She also was born and raised in Opelousas. Her husband has a masonry business that has been in their family for 50 plus years. She loves fishing, cooking and entertaining. She also loves working with her sister, who owns a well known catering business, Shirley's Catering, in Opelousas. This business has also been open for 40 plus years.

Let me start by saying I'm terrified by the dentist. But he and his staff are very nice and it calmed me down some. My experience with them couldn't have gone better. He double checked to see if I was numb fully and even gave me additional shot just to be sure. Once he started actually pulling my teeth, he pulled two teeth out in literally less than one minute. That surely helped out with my nerves but I also think it helped with the pain the following days, because I had almost no pain the next day. I was back to work like nothing happened the next day. I also didn't have insurance and he gave me a very reasonable price. 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend . I seriously appreciate yall helping me out.

I dont think any words can express my gratitude towards Dr. Chris Doucet and his staff. The moment that I had walked into the building the atmosphere just had this really calming effect that eased my anxiety. And Dr. Chris's staff are the most AMAZING people that I have ever met. They are so light hearted, caring, and willing to help to the best of their ability. I went in for an oral exam to find out why I was having so much problems with my teeth, and in back of my mind I was thinking he would just tell me what ever other dentist had told me. But, to my surprise, he didnt. After the exam he explained everything to me. He told me what I needed to do to get my gums and teeth healthy again. He gave me step by step procedure that I was more than happy to follow. He didnt judge me or berate me, he just helped. So for the first time, I have encountered a dentist who actually wanted to take their time with me and not try to just push me out the door. So of course I was more than happy to go ahead with everything bc I was tired of my teeth always hurting me(physically and mentally). The day I went in for the first procedure I was extremely nervous, just thinking about the needles and the pain, my anxiety had jumped through the roof. But with Dr. Chris Doucet, with his calming mannerisms, had eased my anxiety. Before I knew it we were done with the first set, and there was no pain. So now I know what to expect when I go back for the second procedure. I have been recommending Dr. Chris and staff to my family and friends ever since my oral exam. and I have decided, I will not go to any other dentist from this day forward, Dr. Chris has my loyalty as a patient.

OMG I JUST HAD THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE AT THE DENTIST HAD A WISDOM TOOTH AND ANOTHER TOOTH EXTRACTED NEVER FELT A THING HE WAS VERY KIND AND MADE SURE I WAS NUMBED And I WAS DONE IN 5 MINUTES WOW THE BEST DENTIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO IN MY LIFE I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE WHO LIKE MYSELF HAS HAD HORRBLE PRIOR EXPERIENCES

I am very pleased with the service of this dentist. He is GREAT!! I have lots of experience with dentists and he is by far at the top of my list. I didn't even feel the needle during the numbing. I kept waiting for the pain during the extraction (it never came). He has good vibes and nice personality. I would recommend him to anybody who has dental fears. Good man, Great dentist. I'll be back!

I've never found a dentist that I actually liked until now. He makes sure that you are comfortable before starting and while doing procedures. Very friendly atmosphere.

Holy smokes! I had severe dental damage from a tragic car accident and Dr. Doucet completely brought me back to life! Not only was he gentle, he was so thorough and so compassionate towards my concerns. His professionalism and bedside manners are second to none and I will never see anyone other than him from this day forward. His staff is AMAZING, as well and treated us like family. If you are anywhere in the surrounding area of his office, PLEASE give him a visit and put your faith in him. He and his staff WILL NOT let you down. Huge thanks to Dr. Doucet for giving me my smile, confidence, and life back!

He ruined my teeth. He pulled my wisdom tooth out and applied fillings to the left side of my mouth at the beginning of the year. Since going to him, I haven't been able to chew anything on the left side of my mouth. The fillings were also too high which messed up my bite and caused me nerve damage. I have never felt such excruciating pain like that. I had to go to my original dentist to get them filed down. My teeth have been in complete discomfort and pain ever since going to him. I can barely close my mouth without my left teeth grinding against each other.

He cares about his patients. He tries the best he can to help preserve your teeth too. He is affordable, and tries to work with your finances as much as possible. I am so grateful and appreciative.
