Hello, my name is Barbara. I am the office manager for Comfort Family Dentistry. I grew up in a dental family and have continued my career since 2006 with Dr. Mike Hsieh and Dr. Christine Chen. My father was a dentist so my skills in the office cover everything except being the dentist. I love taking care of patients from the first words we speak whether it is in person ,on the phone or email, including any follow up with insurance and post op care. I have been involved in car racing since I was six, love to golf and swim, so if not at work you can find me at the lake, the track or the golf course. I have been in the Dental Field for nearly 10 years. I started in 2003 as a Dental Assistant and then continued my education to fulfill my dream of becoming a Dental Hygienist. I grew up in the Kent/Renton area and graduated from Shoreline Community College's school of Dental Hygiene. My greatest commitment to my patients is making them feel relaxed in the dental chair and making their visit as gentle and pleasant as possible. I strive to treat patients like family while paying close attention to detail and loves to educate patients about how oral health greatly impacts my patient's overall health. In order to stay abreast of new developments in dentistry and updating current knowledge in order to properly educate my patients, I enjoy attending continuing education courses locally and around the country. Outside of work, I spend the most time with her husband and kids. I also enjoy trying new restaurants, trying new culinary skills at home, home-decor and traveling when possible.
I have been working for Comfort Family Dentistry as a Dental Assistant and receptionist since 2010. I have a wide range of duties, from posting insurance checks to hands-on dentistry and everything in between. The best part of my job is, of course, the patients. I learn a lot from our patients and take it to heart, their fears and worries. I grew up most of my life in Toronto, Canada. I moved to Seattle after marrying my best friend. Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love outdoor activities and at least travel twice a year to a new place. I keep my life simple and enjoyable. I speak English, Persian and Farsi fluently.
Hello, I joined Comfort Family Dentistry in 2015 and have been in the dental field for over 13 years. I work as the Lead Dental Assistant, as well as, helping in the front office. I enjoy listening, educating, and assisting my patients and I find there trust to be a rewarding part of my day. Each working day is a new experience and another opportunity to ensure my patients feel comfortable and leave happy. I'm a California native and moved to WA. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 2 boys. We like to go hiking, try new restaurants, and going to the movies.

Always been a very warm, friendly and still be professional interaction between patients and staff. I especially commend everyone for being gentle and sensitive to people's concerns. Dentists and hygienist and assistants are very careful and have the gentle touch that it help me ease me fear or previous experiences. I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted, which I held off for 51 years. Yes, I never wanted to go through the pain, but with my age and not wanting to have potential problems in the future, I took the chance. Well, from the anesthesia being administered, to when my dentist shown me my extracted tooth, I did not feel a single poke. No with the initial injection, not with the extraction and if I didn't see the tooth, I would have though it was a prank. That's really unheard of and this encourages me to keep up with me ira care even more! Kudos to everyone!

I really appreciate being a patient at Choice family dentistry, I have had some difficult dental procedures but Dr Lu and the rest of the staff provide such a relaxed and professional environment I feel well taken care of.

This place used to be a lot friendlier a few years back. I never had any problems with the receptionists before (there's one who is really nice to us), now it felt like there's a lack of sympathy when it comes to care. There's a lot of new faces that work there now. One in particular who seems like she knows more than the actual doctors and talks to them like she's unprofessional even though to her she's just joking. I just find it rude when you ask the doctor a question and the dental assistant would be the first one to respond rather than the doctor.

Good doctor, but clinic fails to keep its promises. They were offering starbucks cards for referring new customers and never followed up on their promise. been waiting for more than a year to get a card, and decided to leave clinic to a different one.

I don't live nearby this office anymore but I keep going because they are the best! The entire staff is attentive, capable and so helpful. My recent procedure of starting a crown replacement was PAINLESS!! I could hardly believe it. Dr. Lu and Leilani made the process fun and calming.

The team got me in on a moments notice. Had a great experience with everyone from the front office to the Doctors. Have had work done there before and will not hesitate to have work done again. Dr. Winn is such a great Dentist! He is very knowledgeable and has great bedside manners as well. I love the fact that at this office the Dentist do almost all of their own work instead of referring everything out. They do root canals and implants in house where most offices refer you out. They are also open on Saturdays which makes it so convenient! All the staff is super friendly as well. I would highly recommend this Dentist office!
