Dr. Jacqueline Mendoza is home. After years living away from DFW, she’s happy to be back home with family and friends and thrilled to be offering her patients a “dental home” at Choice Dental Associates. What’s a dental home? It’s a place where you’re known by name, where multiple generations of your family—kids, parents, and grandparents—have their dental needs met in a warm welcoming setting, where the staff listens to patients and their treatment preferences, where they see the same dentist on every visit, and can pick right up where they left off
It’s a bit of a full-circle experience for Dr. Mendoza as she remembers visiting her own Dallas dental home as a girl. It was there she fell in love with dentistry, especially the science and artistry involved in making healthy and beautiful smiles. “I want my patients to feel comfortable asking questions and learning about their oral care, like I did as a child,” she said. “I focus on education, prevention, and providing the best treatment in an honest and compassionate manner. I’ve completed extensive advanced training, so in addition to general dentistry, I can provide emergency care, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric, geriatric, and cosmetic dentistry, and digital dentistry, including radiographs and scans. That way, once our patients are comfortable with us, there’s little need to refer them elsewhere.”
Dr. Mendoza says the most important time she spends is just listening to her patients. “When patients come to me with a dental problem, I like to be honest and treat them like a family member,” she said. “I’m not here to sell you something but to be your partner in optimum oral health. Understanding what I’m doing and why helps alleviate dental anxiety. And the more my patients understand about their oral health, the more likely they are to do what they need to do to keep their teeth and gums healthy for a lifetime.”
When not on the job, Dr. Mendoza enjoys hot yoga, hiking, reading about history, philosophy and religions, and visiting historic sites and national parks. She’s been blessed to make medical mission trips to Guatemala and Honduras providing dental treatment in remote locations. She loves trying new things such as flyboarding, paddleboard yoga, cave diving, mountain hiking, visiting ancient churches, wildlife viewing, and new cuisines. She also enjoys hosting Smile Clinics to educate the community about keeping their smiles healthy. One of six siblings in a large Hispanic family, she can’t wait welcome you into her own growing dental family
Dr. Roberts received his doctor of dental surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Illinois Dental School. He then spent two years in a dental residency at the University Of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During this residency he received training in dental and implant surgery as well as sedation procedures
Dr. Roberts has been practicing dentistry in Dallas since 1987. He was awarded the Young Dentist of the Year in 1990 for Dallas County. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentistry (F.A.A.H.D.). Dr. Roberts Served on the Dallas County Dental Society Board Of Directors from 1992 1996. He is currently serving as an adjunct assistant professor at the University Of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and lectures nationally in the area of general dental surgery

The dentist and her assistant were very kind. The doctor had a great bedside manner. From the young lady at the front desk, the dental assistant and the dentist, they all listened. They took my concerns into consideration and did what I asked them to do. This was my first visit here and I'm glad I chose this office.

Worst experience I've ever had. Took 3 hours for a tooth Extraction and got sent home with ibuprofen. Called to advise them I needed help managing the pain and nobody ever called me back. Suffered the weekend and called back today. Went in to the office and Ended up having dry socket. Got sent home with no new medications to manage pain. My face is swollen and I feel as if the dentist had no care about helping me find relief. I truly feel like they only care about getting patients in and out. Not to mention on top of everything, I had an infection in my tooth and they pulled it anyways. I wasn't aware they weren't supposed to pull if it there was an infection until I spoke with another dentist. Will never return here and will never recommend this dentist office.

First contact was a phone call which was right at closing. The doctor was still there cleaning up the office. He was really pleasant and took my information. When I got there for the appointment he was there and even more professional. No surprises and explains what and why they recommend what they did. I felt really comfortable and actually looking forward to getting the dental work done. Who does that these days? 3/16/22 I've had my teeth cleaned 2 times by Courtney since my initial visit. She didn't use any pain killers and I never hurt. That's a first for me. I am so blessed that I called this dentist after hours.

The dentist used a white white temporary base to build up my broken tooth. When she was finished I looked in the mirror and my tooth looked like a white chicklet. I feel like Mr. Wilson. When I tried to discuss this with the dentist she told me I would get used to it. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this dentist.

I went in as I needed an implant looked at that my body was rejecting from another dentist. The dentist was really compassionate and got me in. After that I needed a deep cleaning. The whole experience was top notch. They were really communicative on cost and why. Which was really affordable. The dental hygienist were amazing and the dentist was compassionate and cared about my experience. They even remembered small things like how's the new job going. I got a new job and mentioned it in small talk. I showed back up and they asked how it's going. Small things translate to good care. I'd really recommend them. Going to the dentist isn't fun. But making the experience as good as it can be and getting excellent care and how to care for yourself is why you should consider them. Sincerely, a guy with really clean teeth and a great dentist.

I had a wonderful experience here! I went ahead and booked my future appointments along with my kids appointments. The Dentist was very informative and sweet, along with the dental hygienist. Their office staff is also great and very polite! I highly recommend this place.
