Dr. Jay Cho is a native to the New Hyde Park community, having attended Denton Elementary School, Herricks Middle School and then graduating from Herricks High School. Dr. Cho received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Colgate University and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While at dental school, Dr. Cho served as president of the Orthodontic Society and earned multiple awards and honors, including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society and the Matthew Cryer Honor Society, limited to the top 10 students in each class as determined by the general order of merit. Dr. Cho continued his post doctorate dental education with an additional three-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. In conjunction with his residency, Dr. Cho served as president of his residency class and earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Cho is the Clinical Associate Professor; Department of Pediatric Medicine at North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Presently, he serves as Treasurer of The Columbia University Orthodontic Alumni Association and sits on Nassau County Dental Society's Board of Directors. Dr. Cho is the Clinical Associate Professor; Department of Pediatric Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and the Teaching Assistant for orthodontic pre-clinic and dental laboratory skills at Columbia University. Additionally, Dr. Cho's active membership in several professional organizations helps ensure that he is always knowledgeable and up to date with the latest developments in orthodontics and dentistry. These organizations include: the American Association of Orthodontists, The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Nassau County Dental Society, the Long Island Seattle Study Club, and the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University. Away from the office, Dr. Cho enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid golfer and is also equally passionate about tennis and running. Also a zealous sports fan. Dr. Cho is very excited to return and serve Bayside and the surrounding communities. I think Dr Cho and Staff are wonderful and caring, everyone is always so kind. Dr. Cho is truly one of the nicest Doctors we have ever been to. He takes such Wonderful care of his patients. He always makes us happy that we come here.
I felt during my visit , that this was the best choice. The beautiful atmosphere and the warm staff beats all the offices i visited during this process. Dr. Cho explains the process so mother's can understand. I know my son is in great hands.
Dr. Cho is a 'Wonderman Doctor'. He makes sure that he makes the patients in his care feel comfortable. He also takes the time to explain the process to the parents making sure they understand every step. The Staff is Awesome. They are the most friendliest staff i have ever encountered in an office .THEY ROCK!
Dr. Cho is Friendly. He is always smiling and happy while being professional. He made me feel comfortable and offered various methods and options for straightening my teeth Being a patient has been a wonderful experience thanks to Dr. Cho and his team. I love my smile even more :)
The team is very accomodating and friendly and very helpful with all our needs. They also helped with my insurance and are easy to reach . I think he is the best orthodontist and will continue to refer my friends and family.
I Love the office it is very bright, upbeat, modern and cheery! I liked the layout and design of the office. I also liked that they use state of the art equipment. The staff is very friendly, cheerful, outgoing and always available to answer your questions. They could teach a few things to other nurses and office staff in the field. Im glad i found this place, as you never know what your going to get when you pick a name out of a book. Boy, was I lucky!
The new office is truly beautiful and so modern. Definitely spacious and VERY clean. After interviewing other Orthodontist, I found Dr. Cho to be the most thorough. He is very kind and has truly made a difference for angelo so far.

Amazing experience. Getting braces as a child is hard as it is but Dr. Cho and his staff made the ride so smooth and comfortable. Always greeted with a contagious happy greeting and always willing to help with any scheduling or emergency we ever had. Now my 13 year old is a happy teenager with her straight pearly whites, as she says. Thank you Dr. Cho and staff.

They make you feel like family. They call ahead of appointments and understand that life gets in the way and do everything they can to work around your schedule. Love the people. Love the kindness. Love the service. Very thankful for their help with both Invisalign and Braces. I will be recommending them to everyone!

Dr. Cho and his amazing Orthodontic staff are the best ever. You will not be disappointed with their customer service. This is what I doctor's office should be like. I can't speak highly enough about my experience at Cho Orthodontics. I remember my first visit. I walked in the room, there was a printed color sign with my name saying welcome! Dr. Cho was extremely patient and explained all of my options for correcting my teeth. I settled with Invisign, the staff when over the payment options. I was so well pleased with my visit. But that wasn't the best part...the continuous care was simply amazing. My sister also was getting Invisign at the same time. At the time, my 3 year inquisitive niece would be walking around asking questions and being a 3 year old, and the staff would fully entertain her. They all knew us by name. We were not just patients and charts, they treated us like real people. I would gladly pay for this experience again and again. Anyone that needs orthodontic services, do yourself a favor...stop looking now, call them and make an appointment... unless you are a pain in the butt, nobody needs to deal with that. Wonderful doctor and staff. I recommended 100% to anyone seeking orthodontic work. Update: finished my Invisalign journey! I am sooo satisfied with the results and the service I received here. Before I started I hated even talking. I was apprehensive that Invisalign would work for me, as my smile was very crooked and not such an easy case. However Dr. Cho and his staff made my dreams come true and now I am not self conscious about my teeth at all!! I am so proud to show off my smile. I get complimented on my smile a lot and I recommend this practice to EVERYONE seeking orthodontic work. My insurance does not cover orthodontic work but it was worth every penny. It wasn't expensive either compared to other places I went to consultations for. This place truly treats you like family. Come here and you won't regret it (and remember to wear those retainers after).

This place deserves more than 5 stars! As someone in my mid-twenties looking to begin my "perfect smile" journey, I did a ton of research before discovering the AMAZING Dr. Cho and staff. Being so insecure about my teeth and smile, Dr. Cho and staff completely put me at ease. My experience from the initial consultation until now has been wonderful. The entire staff is so pleasant and genuinely care about you. The office is clean and you rarely have to wait to be seen - you are in and out within ten minutes! I never thought I'd look forward to seeing my Orthodontist. My journey is not quite complete but I already smile more and feel great. I can't wait to show off my smile even more when treatment is complete. Thank you Dr. Cho and staff for giving me my confidence back :)

AMAZING! I cannot stress how fantastic the entire staff was, they made me feel like family and were always there when I had a question or concern. I came in with a sizable gap that I was very self conscious about, they were so understanding and made sure to put in temporary solutions for when I had a wedding in the middle of treatment. As soon as the pandemic began they were proactive and mailed me my retainers. They are perfectionist with every smile they take on and are so understanding of every concern you could possibly have, I can not recommend them enough!
