Drs. Chiulli and Bradway first collaborated at the University of Washington, both working as Affiliate Clinical Faculty for the Graduate Periodontics Program. They are congruent in their philosophies of evidence based, high quality patient care.

Dr. Chiulli graduated early and with honors from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Human and Organizational Development. He received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While at Marquette, Dr. Chiulli served as Student Body President and performed research on oral drug delivery systems and Periodontitis risk assessment metrics.

After practicing as a general dentist in Wisconsin, Dr. Chiulli attended the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry where he received a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters Degree (MSD). Dr. Chiullis focus in his Masters research was on Peri-Implant Mucositis and Optical Coherence Tomography. In addition, Dr. Chiulli completed an Anesthesiology Rotation at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Seattle. At both the University of Washington and the VA Hospital, Dr. Chiulli trained extensively in oral and intravenous sedation. Dr. Chiulli is an Affiliate Clinical Faculty at the University of Washington, and has also been in private Periodontics practice in the Seattle area. He was the President of the Washington State Society of Periodontists in 2017, and he is a proud member and Board Member of the Pierce County Dental Society.

As a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, Washington State Society of Periodontists, Washington State Dental Association and Seattle King County Dental Society, Dr. Chiulli is passionate about being a part of our community as well as continuing his dental education. Dr. Chiulli utilizes this training to offer the latest techniques in treatments including soft tissue gum grafting without using your palate as a donor, adjunctive therapies for orthodontics that could avoid jaw surgery, teeth in a day full mouth implant restorations, and immediate implants.

Dr. Chiullis true joy is spending time and going on adventures with his daughter Ella, two sons William (Billy) and Brooks, and his amazing wife Soleil. When hes not in the office, Dr. Chiulli also enjoys cycling, skiing, wakeboarding, camping, hiking, and exploring the Northwest with his family. He has a welcoming and compassionate personality that we are sure will leave you feeling comfortable and well cared for.

At Chiulli Implants and Periodontics, we strive to provide the best possible care to our patients. Each of our team members is a Certified Dental Assistant or a Certified and Registered Dental Hygienist. Each year our team spends countless hours in Continuing Education Courses learning the latest standard of care in treating implants, performing sedation, and diagnosing and treating oral disease.

You will not find a more hard working, clinically competent, and genuinely caring team. While we understand that going to a dentist may not be a something most patients look forward to, we strive daily to ensure it is the best possible experience for our patients. Our work family looks forward to welcoming you and your family to our practice.

This is the first negative review I've left for a medical provider. I am not one to complain, and though the provider and staff are kind the customer service is terrible. I was referred to this provider from my dentist for gum recession. I had my first visit which went just fine and I was invited to come back to do a deep clean and some education on practices that might help outside of surgical options. My appointment was scheduled and the day prior I was called by the office staff that the provider would not be in at 8 AM and they needed to move my appointment to 9 AM. They asked me if that was going to be a problem, at the time I was busy on the road driving I told them to go ahead and put me in that spot and if there was any issue I would call back. Not once did they mention a fee if this didn't work, the office gal just said; "okay, we've got you down!" When I called back to move the appointment to another day because I couldn't make 9am work, I was informed they were going to be charging me $100 because I didn't give 24 hours notice. When I explained the situation, the office staff did not hear anything I was saying & just Kept repeating that was their office policy and they were going to add $100 fee to my account but if I rescheduled and came to that appointment it would be taken off. I was obviously pretty upset about this because it never should've been put on my account in the first place. The next appointment I had scheduled I became ill tested positive for Covid and had to move my appointment, not cancel just reschedule for another day and I was again charged another $100 fee for late notice (which I wasn't aware of & only found out after I quit about my large bill.) When I did go to my appointment that was rescheduled twice, I made sure to ask them if this was going to be covered as a cleaning because I had already had a cleaning 3 months prior, and they said yes that it is calendar year so it shouldn't be a problem. Of course I didn't read the fine print what they charge me for was not an annual cleaning and my insurance denied it. They did not verify my insurance coverage of this service prior to my visit (which has never happened in my lifetime with any dental office.) Now I owe this office $450 for a cleaning I thought was free and two cancellation charges in which both appointments that were the same appointment were rescheduled, one at their discretion. I have not yelled or been rude in anyway, I have explain to the office staff that I am upset with the situation and hoping to get it resolved with the management as I know they are just doing their jobs. The manager refuses to speak with me the office staff keep calling me back and relaying the same message that they can only remove one of my fees and that I signed agreeing to pay anything my insurance wouldn't pay. I contacted my dentist who sent me here to let them know what was happening and their first words were apologies when it has nothing to do with them. I am not one to badmouth a dental practice but something needs to change with their customer service and if a customer asked to speak with management that manager needs to get on the phone and resolve the situation if they want to have future business & referrals.

On March 3, 2022, I went to Dr. M. Chiulli DDS of Tacoma, Wash. for a consultation for a gum recession problem. After examining me, he told me that I had an infection on one of my teeth and it needed to be extracted and then put an implant. I did not have any problem with that particular tooth since it was recently treated by the ever so wonderful Dr. John West, a well known AND VERY CARING endodontist. Dr. Chiulli told me that this was urgent and that I had to make an appointment immediately to have that tooth removed. This was really sudden. I came to him to check on a receding gum line on a different tooth, and he wanted me to do a tooth removal on another tooth. I don't know why I agreed to sign a paper work for the surgery that was to take place on March 10, 2022. The cost was more than $4,400.00 and I had to pay right away over there with my credit card. When I left his office and got in my car, I had a second thought about it and called repeatedly to cancel it, but no one picked the phone up. So I called the next day, March 4, 2022 and after two hours of trying to call, finally I was able to talk to them but only to be told that they would charge me $500.00 for a cancelation. WOW! They just scheduled me for less than 16 hours ago and the surgery was one week away. I argued with a woman named Ashley who was very rude and refused to hear me. I asked to talk to Dr. Chiulli himself. I explained to him that I had a second thought about the surgery because I needed to see Dr. John West for a second opinion. I thought he agreed to let go of the ridiculous and unjust $500.00 cancelation fee but on Monday, they sent me a check to refund my money but taking more than $500.00 off. CRAZY! So I sent that check back to him and asked him to do the right thing by refunding me the whole amount that they charged me. I have not heard anything back from him so I disputed this charge with my Bank. Today, March 9, 2022 I was seen by Dr. West who told me that the tooth Dr. Chiulli so persistently wanted to extract could be saved and just needed a minor treatment to heal the infection which will be done next month. BEWARE OF THIS DR. CHIULLI. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM AGAIN AND ADVICE OTHERS TO STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! UPDATED REVIEW TO REPLY to Dr. Chiulli's response on June 10/2022: I stand by my review! It was an insult to accuse me of trying to extort you! BE VERY CAREFUL ACCUSING SOMEONE OF TRYING TO EXTORT. DO YOU HAVE A PROVE OF WHAT YOU WERE SAYING? It was your office who tried to charge me to pay for the so called " $500.00 cancelation fee." I told the truth! That's why I disputed this charge with my credit card company for the whole amount your office charged me. BTW, I also read more negative reviews from people on other websites concerning their experience with your office. So I was not the only one having a bad experience with this office!

This office is great, I love it! 10/10 would recommend. All the staff that work there are such hard workers. Dr. Chiulli and his team go beyond measures to give patients the care they need. There is a receptionist Galena that remembers my name as soon as I walk in the door, I know I have a built relationship with these people.

Like many people, I'm not a big fan of having people doing dental work, but Dr. Chiulli's staff made me feel really comfortable. The office was really clean and Aimee made me feel so welcome and comfortable. She really went out of her way to put my mind at ease. Thanks for making this stressful event more manageable for me!
