Dr. Darby attended the University of California at Berkeley for undergrad. She went to the University of Connecticut for Dental School and finished her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at The Childrens Hospital in Denver Colorado. She has been an attending professor at the University of Colorado Dental School and the residency program at The Childrens Hospital. Dr. Darby has served as Dental Director for Dental Aid and donated time to Cavity Free at 3 and Give Kids A Smile. She has made two medical mission trips to Peru and Mexico
Dr. Kyle joins our practice as another proud Colorado native hailing from where many of us consider the great white north (AKA Fort Collins). While he has fond memories of growing up a CSU Rams fan, he now bleeds the Black and Gold of CU. While in attendance at the University of Colorado Boulder, he received his Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Integrative Physiology. He then transitioned to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery and advanced education in Periodontics. While at the University of Colorado School of Dental medicine, Dr. Kyle served as both Class and Student Body President. Specific to periodontology he has been awarded both the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Student Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontology and the AAP Educator Scholars Award. The later in recognition of his continued commitment to educating future dental students, residents, and colleagues in the specialty of periodontology.
Away from teeth and gums, Dr. Kyle still appreciates his lifelong hobby of ice hockey both as a coach and player. Dr. Kyle and his wife, Childrens Dentistrys own Pediatric Dentist Dr. Grace, can be found enjoying time with family and getting to the mountains whenever possible for various activities.
Dr. Nelle knows that she has the best job in the whole world! She enjoys working with children, helping children and carrying on the family tradition. Her father and her great grandfather were both dentists, and now she and her sister, Dr. Betty, are both pediatric dentists.
Dr. Nelle was born and raised in Kentucky. She moved to Colorado in 1993. She and her husband, Larry, both enjoy biking, bird hunting and snow skiing. They are pet crazy and have three dogs and one cat. Dr. Nelle is anavid Rockies fan and, of course, a HUGE UK basketball fan.
Dr. Nelle received her dental degree and her pediatric dental certificate from the University of Kentucky. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She is a past president of the Adams County Dental Society and the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentists. Dr. Nelle was a chairperson of RMDC 2014 and a past president of the Metro Denver Dental Foundation. In 2019 she was president of the Metro Denver Dental Society.

We have been taking our kids here for 11 years. They have the most patient, understanding, & caring staff. Parents are welcome to be with their kids the entire process & they explain & discuss everything clearly. They have the best atmosphere to make kids feel comfortable. They do an amazing job & truly care about their patients & their families. If you want the best dental care for your kids, Children's Dentistry is the place to go!

My 8 year old daughter loves the dentist so much she excitedly asks when her appointment will be. They make her feel so comfortable and proud of taking care of her teeth. I am so thankful that Children's Dentistry and their amazing staff make going to the dentist such a positive experience.

Hands down the best office I have ever been to! Everyone was so nice and the decor was amazing in every way! Helen walked my daughter through every step of her first visit and the dentist was super happy and friendly!

Absolutely amazing on every level!! Everyone here is so kind and warm. My son had major dental fear from another place and the entire staff put him right at ease. Dentist Sean Whalen was so wonderful with my child and took the time to explain every detail of his treatment plan.

I took my 1.5 year old for his first visit yesterday & oh my gosh...amazing. That's all I can really say is amazing. The staff & environment is so friendly & welcoming. The moment we walked in we seen a welcome board with all the new patients for the day, the whole lobby even play area was so clean! The ladies at the front desk were just full of smiles. We got the pleasure to see Jenny & Dr. Grace, both of them were better than we could have asked! Overall, this was such an amazing first time experience for my son & I. Thank you!!!

My kids have been patients for over 16 years. From the front desk to hygienist to dentists, everyone is caring and professional. They remember us and are always made to feel comfortable. My son was always anxious and the staff would take the time to answer his extensive questions. I've never met a more patient group!

Dr Grace and staff were efficient, patient, and caring. My daughter had a lot of dental work needing to be done this morning and was quite nervous, but she ended up feeling very relaxed and comfortable during her visit.

I was referred here by our pediatrician for our infant daughter's tongue tie. From the first phone call to the end of our appointment, it went fantastically. The front office staff was super helpful in answering my questions and checking with the doctor before getting an apointment set up. They were also able to accommodate our schedule and get us in within day. The doctor had two very nice technicians help with the procedure and they stayed the entire time. Dr. Whalen was incredibly nice, caring and informative. He was very thorough and I never felt rushed. I have never met a dentist more personable and trustworthy. He explained right off the bat that he didn't do any procedures that he didn't feel was necessary and I loved the honesty. He could be making a ton of money on tongue clippings, but he provides his services for practiaclly nothing. I was so lucky to have found him and this office. If only all of healthcare had such wonderful people and ethics.

You can tell that Dr.Sean Whalen truly loves the children that come into his office and cares about their teeth and well-being. He's so fun to be around and knows everything teeth! You will not regret seeing him or anyone in his office!

I was referred by my dentist and I absolutely love the facility it is super kid friendly and Dr. Noelle is so amazing. Her and the DA Devonne (probably spelled her name wrong) were just the best! Highly recommend this office.

Going to the dentist isn't t something my kids like doing. In spite of my best efforts, they've had negative experiences at other dental offices, plus have sensory integration issues and very strong gag reflexes. We started coming to Childrens Dentistry and Dr Sean and Dr Grace have made our visits consistently positive, non-threatening, and just so wonderful. I'm a practicing dental hygienist and in all the offices I've worked at, none have been as cohesive, functional, and positive as the staff here. Finding a dental office and team this good isn't very common. We are overjoyed to have found you, Childrens Dentistry, and will drive all the way from Erie until the kids are in their 30s or you kick them out, whichever comes first.
