Dr. Ifechide Nwabueze (Dr. Ife) graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria with a degree in dental surgery in 2003. Dr. Ife worked for two years as a general dentist in an Army hospital in Nigeria, where she specialized in pediatrics, orthodontics, restoration, oral surgery, and periodontics. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for working with children.
Dr. Ife earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in 2010. She went on to complete her Pediatric Dentistry training at the Childrens Hospital of Michigan, in Detroit. During her time there, she focused on pediatric clinical and hospital dentistry, including conscious sedation, dental surgery, and emergency dental services. In addition to teaching undergraduates at the University Of Detroit Mercy Dental School, Dr. Ife has published numerous articles relating to pediatric dentistryand pre-veneered stainless steel crowns on primary molars. Dr. Ife is married to John, an accountant,and they have three beautiful young daughters, Ashlea, Kayla, and Emily. She enjoys running, swimming, traveling, and spending time with family.
Dr. Mary Hannawa (Dr. Mary) graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a degree in dental surgery (DDS). Dr. Mary is a general dentist. Dr. Mary is engaged to Dominic and is planning to get married next November. She has a Boston-terrier puppy named Oreo and she loves her very much. She enjoys the out-doors, traveling, cooking, baking, and reading good books when she has the time.
Dr. Caitlin Brokenshire grew up in Pennsylvania and completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University in Washington DC. She then returned to Pennsylvania to earn her graduate degree in Dentistry (DMD) and Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh. While in Dental school she found that she felt the happiest and most fulfilled when treating children of all abilities and adults with special needs.
With this in mind, she moved to Ann Arbor, MI to complete a one year General Practice Residency at the University of Michigan Health Systems. It was here where she received specialized training to provide dental care to adults and children with medical and developmental special needs. Afterwards, Dr. Caitlin moved to Milwaukee, WI and completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. While in residency she gained specially training to provide care to children in a way that strives to meet their specific behavioral and developmental needs.
Dr. Gil was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He graduated with a BS in Chemistry from DePaul University in 2002. After college, he immediately went on to dental school and became a graduate of the College of Dentistry at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006. He practiced in private practice from 2006 until 2018 as the owner of All Heart Dental in Palos Heights, IL. He found great joy in treating patients of all ages, but his passion had always been treating children and patients with special needs since his training in dentistry began over 17 years ago. When he was accepted into the pediatric dental residency at Childrens Hospital of Michigan, he accepted it as one of the greatest honors of his life. Finally, now having his chance to fulfill his passion for specializing in the care for children's oral health, he was compelled to liquidate his life's work to gain extra training as a pediatric dentist, which was completed in 2020.
He finds pleasure in being an integral part of your childs oral care by creating a fun and comfortable setting where oral care can be accomplished safely and efficiently. He feels strongly that both education and prevention are the best ways to manage childrens oral disease, and he will compassionately work with your family to make your childs dental experience a positive one.
Spending time with his two beautiful daughters and his wonderful wife of over 10 years currently fills Dr. Gils personal life. They enjoy traveling, cooking, baking, exercising and rooting on the Chicago Bears, White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks.

The most unprofessional and ignorant clinic I've ever went to. Neither the Troy office or this location communicate with each other efficiently. The staff at this location can't even communicate within their own clinic and give conflicting information to their patients. Not once did my child and her dental needs seem like a priority for any of the staff at either location. There is no care or passion, they are clearly working there just for a paycheck. I called the regular dentist we seen that referred us and they will not be referring any patients to these two clinics. Truly pathetic.

Don't waste your time here. They hire residents and students to work on your kids. There is no advantage to paying cash for their services. You are charged a higher price paying in cash then they get reimbursed by insurance companies. They are not accommodating on the phone. They would rather lose your business then provide good support.

My 2yo's FIRST dentist apt ever. I picked this office so it would be a good experience. There was almost no parking available, so we had to park in a gas station and walk over. We arrived at our appointment ON time. The waiting room had no toys except one working video game. Despite having many interactions with the desk lady, we waited 45 minutes and she never even checked us in. I had to say something bc I had another engagement that afternoon. The dentist herself and hygienist were very nice. They apologizedfor our wait too.. The exam room looked EXACTLY like an adult office though: no toys, no decals, no fun things to look at. Just a sterile, adult room. He was fine in the chair, but then they made him lie on a flat backboard and he hated it. They didn't show him the tools or anything, and so he screamed the whole cleaning bc he was scared of the noise and sensation. I couldn't wait to leave, and we aren't going back

Yesterday I called to make appointment for my daughter and it was appointment for 12 PM and one for 3 PM I was running a little late and I asked the receptionist same lady who booked appointment is there anyway that I can bring my daughter in for emergency appointment she say unfortunately no very unruly though then hung up in my face but I knew something wasn't right yesterday when I called when I said I received a text message from you guys and she instantly replies oh no we don't resend text messages I said well I have one make a long story short They need to handle customers with Care and not based off of her own personal feelings bringing a whole personality to work far as dealing with the public it shows no communication skills with their customers I was very nice and polite with her and it made me feel like I was calling her personal phone getting on her nerves needless to say I will be finding her another Dentis 4/27/2022

For a clinic that "specializes" in Children with special needs they are unwilling to follow simple practices such as autonomy and respect. My daughters went before the new attending started and had great experiences. Our last visit, the doctor rubbed my biracial daughters face into order to "remove her freckles" in a joking way in which my daughter who has extreme medical trauma and anxiety surrounding doctors did not give any hints she wanted man rubbing her face without consent. Along with that they held her down when I wasn't present, the attending condemned and spoke negatively to a staff member that was assisting us, and more. We spoke regarding the failed appt and rescheduled another attempt to come in and they kept us in the waiting room for an hour and came out to say that despite our minimal requirements of seeing a different doctor than the previous one, they weren't going to do that for her. We prepped for weeks to prepare for an appointment. If you have a child with special needs you know how draining this is, to have two failed appts with little support. I'm extremely disappointed.

It seems like this Dentist over treats and it's all a money scam to get as much as they can from your insurance. Request X-ray pics to prove what dental procedures they claim they need to do! Don't just go by their word!

Wonderful experience. The assistant that took us back (I think his name was Jeff) was so kind and funny and friendly and joked and talked with my daughter the whole time. We were in and out quickly. Everyone was professional. Clinic was clean. I will definitely return.

I absolutely adore this place. I went to two different dentists for my daughter before I found it here. They are amazing and patient with the children. The dentist themselves are all pretty awesome. I have to give a special shout out to Rafael for being so amazing with my daughter. I requested him because he was so good with her. He kept my daughter calm showed her the tools and helped me be able to help her understand better how to take care of her mouth. I definitely recommend this place for children. Also they are great on emergency visits. I called at 8:00 in the morning and they got me in by noon.

The dentist and dental assistant were awesome. I called and made my 15 month old appointment for cleaning and they seen him 4 days later. Very professional, clean, and friendly I didn't feel like they were just doing a job. She educated me during the cleaning and on when to start flossing and on the growth of his teeth in the next 2 years.

I have to say FIRST IMPRESSION is EVERYTHING. This placed exceeded my expectations. From the warm welcome with the receptionist at the front desk, to the doctor. I have a special needs son and they treated him with such great care. I love this place and now have a place to call home. Thank you

My niece appointment was at 11:00 and they seen us at 10:30 and they made her feel so safe and comfortable. Dr Gil made both of us laugh and did a great job. I love it that will definitely be our new dentist

Perfect dentist for kids. The whole office made the visit comforting and Easy for my 5 year old. The dentist himself was very informative very straight forward. He even let me see the x rays and explained everything. I left definitely satisfied highly recommend

We had an amazing experience with this dentist and the office staff. We have bounced around dentists for our 4-year-old daughter and now will not go anywhere else! The staff made my daughter feel comfortable and the doctor was so helpful. He gave us multiple treatment options and talked us through everything. So glad to have found this place!
