My kids were taken back quickly, what they were scheduled for was verified (dental cleaning), and when complete I was informed of how it went and they had scheduled their next cleanings and had school nites all done. We were out within 45 minutes which was great. I appreciate their efficiency and kindness.

Well, I wasn't going to do this, but I got an email asking me for feedback, so here we go: They have allowed people who are not on the authorized list to be involved with my child's dentistry visits. The most recent time was the new step mom coming in early and simply stating she was mom. Nothing more was checked to verify she was who she stated, or to see she was or wasn't on the list. When I arrived 30 minutes later for the appointment, the office staff realized their mistake and I discussed it with them. I understand it's based on assuming people will be truthful, but I have had where step mom has now took over an appointment without any authorized person being there. And several years back, the dad's old girlfriend was able to cancel out my child's account and change his dentist entirely to somewhere else---and I didn't know until it was his next scheduled appointment time six months later. (This is being handled on my end at this point dealing with the father), but the dentistry hasn't been helpful in preventing these other women from accessing and making decisions, pretending to be me, simply by saying they are the mother---and nothing more being checked. Those are only the two occurrences I'm aware of; who knows if anything else has occurred. The dentistry itself is amazing and I went here as a child myself. But what is the point of great service if there is no privacy procedures in place? I just think they need better protocol at check in, because... not everyone is truthful. Isn't this putting HIPAA laws at risk if you aren't checking who is there with the children before discussing information with them?

Hello my name is Tim. I had been searching for a Dentist for my 6 year old son for several weeks. I finally was able to reach Ms. Wendy at Children's Dental Center. She was able get him an appointment immediately. She explained the process. Before we actually went to the appointment, I received several emails keeping me updated. Upon arriving at the office, it was lunch time But one of the young ladies took time out of her lunch break to speak to me. When we went in the office, it was kid friendly, (decorations, etc.) The staff was friendly, patient and professional, from the receptionist to the Doctor and Ms. Wendy. I was truly impressed. They only have a 5 star rating. This office is a 10. They made my son feel at ease. And explained a course of treatment. Thanks a million. Battle

First time visit everything seems very rushed. Never spoke to the dentist. Was just told she didn't have any cavities and she had another appointment in 6 months. Very impersonal I wasn't overly impressed.

As a foster family we have had a lot of kids visit Cartersville Dental Center. Our experience is that they over book. We often wait for up to an hour and the waiting room is packed. We have also been told that all the dentist travel from outside of Cartersville, Atlanta and surrounding areas. Because of this we have made an 8:00 am appointment and the dentist didn't show up until after 9:00 am. As far as the dental care, I honestly don't know. We've had different plans for the same child, it all of a sudden changed. I'm guessing this is because it was a different dentist. I wouldn't suggest going here but we are limited to the insurance our foster kids carry.

My daughter was suppose to have a cleaning in June which they advised would need to be rescheduled because she had knee surgery fine I understand. So rescheduled for tomorrow morning at 8 and just got the call that they can't see her tomorrow it will be September before they can. They are way too over booked it is time to look for a new dentist.

We are very impressed with this practice. Our almost three year old is very strong willed. Dentists have had a hard time getting her to participate in cleanings and stuff. A lot of practices operate like a conveyer belt, rather than taking a minute or two to gain some trust with the kid. This practice took the extra couple of minutes to slow things down, and as a result was able to clean her teeth. Our daughter also needed dental surgery, requiring anesthesia. They made the process as painless as possible, on our daughter and us as parents. We highly recommend this practice.

Front desk service was great, both Maria Estrada and Cris Castro greeted my kids and I and made them feel better about coming to the dentist because they both were very nervous prior to. My children said that it was really cool and funny with the tools they used to clean their teeth. Overall rating I'll give it 10/10!

Wait time was minimal, staff was caring, kids were comfortable, doctor listened and explained after asking questions. They took their time and showed concern. Very good place to take your kids.

No need for a dentist to tell a child her teeth look horrible and needs braces when mother isn't present, even though never any cavities. Mental health is 1st priority and making a child feel insecure to gain more profit for braces is sad!
