Dr. Sunwoong Steve Choi completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2005. Selected as one of the most outstanding graduates of the University that year, he was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.
Following his general dentistry training, Dr. Choi completed his 5 years of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During his specialty residency, Dr. Choi obtained a medical degree and also completed 1 year of general surgery training.
He is an active member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association and California Dental Association. Dr. Choi is both a licensed physician and a dental specialist. He is also licensed to administer general anesthesia.

We were with CHT in Lakewood and we loved it. But we ended up moving and found one in Gardena. I was so happy because the kids were really use to their treatment and not the rushy appointments other dentist has. Everyone is so pleasant and interact with the kids making them really comfortable. I was looking for a dentist for my daughter and I found this place on Yelp and Google. I was nervous thinking my daughter would have a horrible experience, but we came here and everyone was so helpful and kind right from the beginning!
