Dr. Mina Schafft was born in Managua, Nicaragua, where she learned about the value of kind, compassionate carevalues that transcend borders. For 18 years, she has called Massachusetts home, but she still carries the inspirational influence of her father everywhere she goes.
My father, who is also a physician, has been one of the most influential individuals in my life. Hes always been my biggest mentor. Therefore, Ive always wanted to be in the health care profession, she said. Ive always wanted to work with children because of their candor and innocence. Through his guidance, I discovered that dentistry was a great profession to pursue because it gave me the opportunity to have a career and also be a mother. Instinctively, I chose pediatric dentistry because it had the trifecta of all the things I desired in my career.
One of my most rewarding experiences as a dentist was participating in a dental mission trip to Siuna, Nicaragua through Bridges to Community Organization. I went with my team leader from dental school and group of doctors medical students, she said. I want to do service missions whenever possible.

The NICEST people and they do such an amazing job of making the kiddos feel comfortable. My daughter legit talked about going to the dentist for weeks after her first visit. They also have incredibly generous gifts for the kids for being good sports which is very thoughtful. I could not recommend these guys enough!!

Took my 3 and 1 year old here for their first dentist visit. The staff was so friendly and very good with the kids. The office is clean and we were in and out very timely. It was a great experience and my son can't wait to go back!

Terrific dental experience from the time we arrived until we left. Front desk was great as we were a few minutes late, and very helpful with figuring out insurance. Lisa was fabulous cleaning my daughter's teeth, talking through what she was doing with my daughter, keeping her calm. Dr. Schafft talked her through what she was looking for and ultimately what work she needs next. We just switched to this practice and loved it!

The dentist and staff were really great with my 6 yr old, through a pulled tooth and cavity. They were very sweet and caring the whole time. I highly recommend this place to anyone with easy or difficult kids, they can handle it all.

Everyone is so friendly! I wasn't sure how my 2 year old would react at the dentist and getting her teeth cleaned, but everyone put her right at ease and she loves going now.

I can't be happier with the experience I've had with Dr. Schafft and her team. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the Techs and of course the Dr. are amazing. They are caring, professional knowledgeable. They are easy to talk with and willing to explain anything you have questions about. Most of all my daughter LOVES going to the dentist! This alone should say it all. Thank you. As someone who would need to be tied down screaming to be in a dentist chair.. ( Even as an adult) You don't know how much this means to me that she love to go there and looks forward to every visit.. I can't recommend this group enough.. 5+++ stars.

Dr. Mina was sent straight from heaven. She was kind, caring, patient and considerate. My kids, both previously terrified of the dentist, now can't wait to go back! No small miracle. She and her staff worked diligently with us to navigate our insurance. The entire experience was seamless. Honestly, I wish I could go there. Dr. Mina explained everything perfectly. Five stars are not enough!!!

We had to leave this office because they told me that my son would miss his second cleaning in the year due to the office not seeing patients around the time my son was due. You are pediatric office its extremely important that these kids get two cleanings per year. When I asked for an accommodation so he can get his two cleaning the doctor did not care. After reading other peoples reviews it seem like this office just doesn't want to see people with dental Insurances that don't pay as much for procedures ie.(masshealth). Beware of offices that do this, they tend to shut out those patients and only target patients with private insurances with big treatment plans. In the dental world we call them drilling opportunist. Last year they didn't mind squeezing my son in at the end of the year for New Patient cleaning, x-rays, sealants and fillings. I guess because this time the cleaning is only about $90 that Masshealth pays to the provider is not good enough for her. I believe this office has forgotten the ethical duty one should have as a Dental professional providing care for our children.

I was referred by my dental insurance company to call into this dentistry office and make an appointment as it was where my insurance would be accepted. upon calling the office we were denied to accepted as patients, the receptionist citing the provider has made a "personal" decision to only accept patients with our insurance whom have a disability. so because my child is healthy we were denied service. so I now have to go beyond my area to find a dentist

Dr. Schafft and the entire team are fabulous! My son had to have cavities filled under general anesthesia and Dr. Schafft was professional and reassuring. Everything went well and we're back on track with his teeth.

A great pediatric dentist office. All staff are engaging, friendly, and professional. My daughter is almost 4 and loves going. The dentist is so warm, friendly and a mom too.
