Growing up in Meriwether County, at the age of nine I was given the opportunity to take a road trip across the country to California with my grandmother. I LOVED the sights! I remember how cold the Pacific Ocean was even in the middle of the summer, which was a surprise for me! I loved seeing the painted dessert, the Petrified Forest, and the Grand Canyon. I especially liked trying to balance and walk across the petrified logs, hiding under the overhangs, climbing on the boulders and seeing how close I could get the edge to look down the canyon walls. My grandmother survived my daredevil ways, thank the Lord! I would often re-live the scenery from that road trip while watching western movies with my dad, letting my imagination run wild.
Later in life, I decided to start pursuing my dreams of becoming a dentist. I began my journey with an externship, the Indian Healthcare Service in Montana, under a pediatric dentist. During the externship, a seed was planted that maybe I would like to pursue pediatric dentistry myself. Following my externship and graduation from the Medical College of Georgia-School of Dentistry, it was an easy decision for me to make the move to Flagstaff, AZ with my three girls in tow, where I worked for the Indian Healthcare Service, becoming a Commissioned Corps officer.
Once in Flagstaff, I worked at the Winslow Indian Healthcare Center. Over time I became the main dentist out of six to see the children in our clinics. In a few short years, I was also traveling to treat children on a dental van visiting schools and Headstart Programs throughout the Navajo Indian reservation providing preventative and restorative dentistry.
After a few years, I decided I would like to offer even more to the children...sedation dentistry for those in need. I continued on to a pediatric dental residency in Denver, CO at the Childrens Hospital, graduating in 2009. I had planned to return to Arizona and continue treating the children among the Navajo reservation. However, as I was graduating as a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, my family in Georgia was expanding. My first grandchild, Skyler, was arriving on the scene the same month I was graduating. So I decided to come back home and treat the children in West Georgia. It's still West, right?!
In my free time, I enjoy all things outdoors! I still love to Float the Flint River in a canoe or kayak, fishing, hiking, skiing (water and snow), and even cutting the grass and trimming the shrubs. Isnt my husband lucky? ?
Dr. Patterson participates in local dental charitable work and dental mission trips. She enjoys her frequent volunteering at our local dental clinic in LaGrange and Georgia Mission of Mercy as well as her trips abroad including remote villages in Mexico. She also aided with dental care during Hurricane Katrina and its devastating aftermath.

Beware of awful treatment and your child being taken advantage of by dental hygienist and the poorest customer service at Children's Dentistry of West Georgia! I regret having to write a bad review, I wish this would be a positive one, but we would never wish our childs experience on any other child! Last Thursday I took our kids to their routine dental cleaning. While being in one room with my youngest child, right next door was my oldest daughter. I was walking back and forth checking on them. The hygienist cleaning my oldest daughter's teeth, WITHOUT parental consent nor consent or discussion with our daughter, forcefully wiggled and pulled my daughter's tooth out! I've never seen or heard of anything like this, EVER! This was a baby tooth, but was not loose. My daughter told me "this wasn't one of my loose teeth". She pulled it and terrified our 10 year old who used to like going to the dentist. When I came back to the room that my 10-year-old was in, I found her in the room by herself crying! The hygienist left the room leaving my daughter crying in the chair! She never returned! This was such a horrible and stressful experience, but what makes it even worse is that we called to speak to Dr. Patterson who never called us back; even days later. They had their office manager call us and we finally spoke to Tiffany. We requested her to write in our kids files that this particular hygienist should not lay hands on either of our children when we come back. We explained that we like this particular office, but we have a huge problem with this hygienist. Instead, she immediately ditched us as customers saying, "I feel you need to find another dentist and I can provide a list to you if you'd like". Wow! I read a few other reviews about poor customer service and complete lack of care at this place... read them... they are VERY true! Needless to say, not only is this poor practice by a hygienist, but the office staff clearly defends this type of treatment to children and at one point even called it "common" for this to happen. Clearly we won't be returning, but do your own due diligence.

Always an awesome experience for my children and myself. Everyone here is friendly, courteous, patient and efficient. I highly recommend this office if you don't like long waiting times and if you'd like your kids to have an enjoyable stress-free dental experience. Dr. Patterson not only advises me on healthy habits, she takes the time to educate the children also; so that they develop good habits early.

Absolutely horrible! I will never take my child back. The dentist was very very ugly and rude to my child as she was laying in the chair. She wouldn't approach me with anything. She went straight to my young child. The dentist hygienist was amazing though. The hygienist was very helpful, and so sweet. I definitely do not recommend at all! I wouldn't even give them 1 start if I could.

Amazing staff and dentists! We got to come for Halloween dress up day! They really know how to deal with children. My daughter does not do well with doctor's offices and I and the staff had to try to do our best while she fought the appointment. While I was probably stressed out and it showed, it never showed on their faces. Thank you all so much for making the visit as easy as possible!

Billed for a service that is only allowed every 12 months, they didn't even check to see when the last treatment was, just charged me. Also didn't check with my insurance before appointment turns out they are not a preferred provider. So ended up having to pay 20% instead of the appointment being free. BEWARE, double check all your own info, because they sure won't.

Took my 3 year old to his first dentist appt today and could not have asked for the staff to make his first appt any better. They made him feel like such a big boy and were so sweet with him! They even did a check up of his T-rex's teeth!

After a horrible experience at another dentist office. Children's Dentistry gave me faith that kids dental work can be done smoothly and professionally. They addressed me with their concerns and even showed my the X-rays and explained why they were making the decisions they were about to make. I really do appreciate them and they forever have a customer with me and my family! Well until we reach that age limit lol.

I believe that they are the only pediatric dentist in lagrange so they don't care about customers, patients, children I say they are rude. And the front desk need to be train in customer service skills. Very unprofessional. As I have seen for myself they laugh, talk about people when they think your walking out!! Maybe they are to young to understand customer service!
