We know early experiences can influence a childs feelings about dental care, lasting well into adulthood. With a safe and supportive space, using a tell-show-do approach with procedures, and offering lots of encouragement, we help children feel at ease in the dental environment.

  • Our Doctors: Our board-certified pediatric dentists Dr. Jo Cronly, Dr. John Flowers, Dr. Amanda Kuhn,Dr. Ashley Harman, and Dr. Kathryn Skarda are highlytrained specialists. Their post-dental school residencies ensured a solid understanding of the special oral health concerns of children, along with behavior management, caring for special needs patients and those with complex health issues, growth and development, and sedation. Each of our doctors is a parent, too, and dedicated to caring for your child as their own.
  • Our Team: We are proud of our team members. Whether in the front office or the clinic, they are professional, welcoming, and well-skilled. Like the doctors, our team loves personally getting to know each child and their family, and thrives on the real friendships that grow with the wonderful people we serve.
  • Our Focus: We believe childrens teeth are a reflection of a childs overall health, so we want all children to have healthy smiles and healthy bodies. We focus on preventive care, establishing healthy behaviors, and reinforcing them with praise and encouragement.
  • Our Approach: We expect kids to be kids, not little adults, and allow each to become comfortable at their own pace. If that means sitting on the floor and chatting for a while, were good with that! No victory is too small, and while we dont always win over every child at every visit, we eventually get there by maintaining a calm, happy, and supportive environment. Earning a childs trust, and his orher wonderful smile, is our greatest reward!

    Wonderful experience for both of my boys! Dr. Cronly did an exceptional job explaining any concerns/treatments, and my boys actually enjoy going to the dentist!

    Colter is a typical 3 yro who was not excited to be at the dentist. He was being very shy, whiney and clingy, but staff kept engaging him and he ended up having a great day!! He couldn't wait to floss and show his father his "no cavities award"! I'd say that's a win!

    Wonderful dentist office! Love everyone at the henrico location! My child had built up a fear of the dentist. The hygienist couldn't of been more calming for him, taking time to explain all her tools and what she was using them for. Dr. Skarda took time to encourage my child to take good care of his teeth instead of shaming/scaring him into what could happen if he didn't. I really appreciated that approach. My child wanted to floss and brush proper that evening because of the respect Dr. Skarda gave him made him want to keep up with his daily cleaning! The woman who works the front desk is incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Really great team they have got here!

    I rarely leave reviews on almost anything. But these people are AMAZING!! I can't say enough about them. The technician who cleaned my son's teeth was amazing. My son is usually a screamer and doesn't even like people touching him. I was amazed at how smooth everything went down. He didn't even shed a tear or throw any tantrums. I am so happy that we left VCU for this. BEST DECISION EVER!!! These people are professionals. From the minute you enter the building till you get out you will only get good experience. You guys are doing an amazing job. Keep it up. Thank you to all of you.

    Had a great experience. I like that they have individual rooms now versus the wide open space. Also, my son had a longer procedure today, so he was placed in a room with a TV that hung flat from the ceiling so he could watch a movie. It definitely made it a bit more fun for him! Of course, great dentist and staff too!

    When this was west end pediatrics, I went there growing up! Now, they've changed, but everyone is so so so so sweet and of course they were the first place I thought of to bring my little boy!! He loves going to the dentist because of them!!!
