As a dentist, it means the world to me to know that I am making a difference in the lives of children. Our office is a supportive and encouraging environment, where children are able to prosper, grow, and develop a passion and love for visiting the dentist. I enjoy taking in a child that is anxious and fearful of the dentist, instilling confidence in them, and watching them grow into a good adult dental patient. Dr. Kennell

Dr. Melissa Kennell has been practicing in the Lakes Region since 2006. Graduating Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Kennell continued her education at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating Magna cum Laude and in the top ten of her class.

Dr. Kennell regularly attends continuing education courses nationwide to stay abreast of the current techniques in the field of childrens dentistry. In addition to her membership with the American Dental Association, Dr. Kennell is the current President of the New Hampshire Dental Society.

It is endlessly fulfilling to know how much of an effect we as pediatric dentists have on our patients and ensuring we provide quality and compassionate care to our community. Children deserve to have a beautiful smile and we hope to instill a sense of care and compassion every time a child comes into our practice. We hope to make a difference in every patient we encounter and hope our education on proper dental hygiene is something they take with them throughout their life. Dr. Matt

Dr. Matthew Smith received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington and a Masters Degree in Oncological Sciences from the University of Utah. While he began his post-graduate work in the scientific research field, Dr. Matt quickly realized that he liked to work with people rather on projects. Changing career paths, he graduated from the University Of California San Francisco School Of Dentistry in 2004 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He earned his Pediatric Dental Certificate from Childrens Hospital Michigan in Detroit.

Dr. Matt is a member of the New Hampshire Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association, as well as board certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Matt grew up in the Monterey Bay Area of California. He, his wife, and their two kids have lived in Plymouth for nearly eight years. Living in northern New Hampshire, Dr. Matt loves the outdoors, including swimming, white water kayaking, biking, hiking, and playing sand volleyball.

It is a privilege to be a pediatric dentist. I love that I can educate and treat patients, resulting in beautiful smiles and healthy mouths, all while making the dental experience special and fun. Plus, the kids keep me feeling young and enthusiastic about life! Dr. Tim

Dr. Tim Smith received his BA in Biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Tim followed in the footsteps of both his father and brother (our very own Dr. Matt) to become a dentist and graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He continued his training at Childrens Hospital of Michigan for his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Tim is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the New Hampshire Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Dr. Tim currently resides in Plymouth with his dog, Bessie. He enjoys hiking, snowboarding, wrestling, soccer, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and trying new foods. Working with children, especially kids with special healthcare needs, really brings joy to my life. Kids are so joyful and really want to be helpful. Helping them to have a great experience with the dentist as a child helps to set them up for a healthy and happy relationship with their future dentist, and I find that very gratifying. Dr. Kremser

Dr. Jonathan Kremser attended Millersville University for his undergraduate studies where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology and was the team captain for the Marauders baseball team. After his undergraduate studies, he attended Virginia Commonwealth Universitys dental school in Richmond, Virginia. Following dental school, he took a residency at St. Christophers Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he specialized in treating children and their families.

In addition to being board certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Kremser is an active member of the New Hampshire Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Kremser enjoys spending time with his kids at their sporting events and being a helpful neighbor and friend. He is passionate about all things outdoors, including canoeing, fishing, boating, hunting, fishing, and hiking with his family.

As the only infant to adolescent focused dental practice in the Lakes Region, Dr. Melissa Kennell, Dr. Matthew Smith, Dr. Timothy Smith, and Dr. Jonathan Kremser believe seeing the dentist can be a fun and positive experience.

At Children's Dentistry, you and your child are greeted with a warm and comfortable atmosphere that lasts throughout your visit, which helps reduce any anxiety your child may have. Your child can choose and play interactive games and check out the fun colorful bubble wall. Parents can catch all the latest highlights about our practice on the informational TVs.

Our leading-edge practice delivers state-of-the-art oral healthcare, utilizing digital imaging and digital radiography (X-rays) to minimize your childs exposure to radiation by 90% compared to conventional X-ray equipment. Parents and children can view the enlarged radiographs on flat screen monitors so that we can educate you and your child about their oral health. Dr. Kennell, Dr. Smith,Dr. Tim, and Dr. Kremser are excited to offer private teen rooms, for when your child is at the age where getting their cleanings in the open bay hygiene room is no longer cool.

As well, we offer a private infant room where the children can play while the parents discuss and become educated on the best oral care for their child. We love to see children prior to their first birthday or upon eruption of the first tooth.

We believe that your child will love our environment and experience. This will essentially create a trusting relationship with their Dentist and a positive experience with oral care and treatments. Children's Dentistry Creating smiles that last a lifetime!

Children's Dentistry of the White Mountains is by far the most wonderful dental experience for my kids! They take time to explain to my child what they're doing in ways children can understand. They make the office so fun and welcoming, iPads for the kids to watch movies and stay distracted, and on some days an office dog who wanders in and out...I know it calmed my kiddo down to see her and pet her. As far as the staff goes, the Dentists are phenomenal, they know their craft and truly love kids. They seamlessly switch and flow care for their patients. The hygienists have all the time needed to calm down kiddos and explain things to them. Or find the spot in the movie where the child left off from last time :-) Today we had Hope and she was extra calming and helpful for my child who was getting some work done. I wish they had dental offices like this when I was young. But I am so glad I found them for my kids!!!

My son is HAPPY about going to the dentist! He's young & gets excited to point everything out, frequently causing the assistants to have to stop what they're doing... everyone he's ever seen has shown such patience & has joined in his excitement, it's great! He feels like a little superstar every time he walks in & out of the office, and I can feel confident that he is getting the care he deserves -Bonus stars to Madison in the Plymouth office today for unknowingly choosing his favorite color "famous guy" glasses. It's the little things that make a big difference.

In a pinch to get one of my 6 year olds teeth removed we came into contact with them, and they got us in a lot sooner than anyone else could. The staff were all incredible. My daughter has been scared. To. Death. Of the dentist for the last few months. They calmed her down in minutes, brought her back smiling. We woke her up afterwards and she had no idea she'd already had her tooth pulled and fillings performed. Thank you for providing a great service on short notice!

Very disappointed at how my family was treated. Extremely unprofessional do not recommend taking your children here. Maddison is extremely rude and does not know how to be patient with special needs children she is definitely in the wrong profession.

They are so amazing with kids. My daughter says she loves the dentist. I'm just glad they make her comfortable enough to feel that way.

Few years ago when I was 9, it was my first time going for a filing on one of my teeth, and I was vary nervous even though I voiced my concerns they still wouldn't let my mother come in the room with me, as the doctor/dentist, (dont remember his name) was working on my tooth I told him that it hurt and he got irritated and yelled at me to stop talking so I started crying. After a few minutes he took out three needles, had a nurse/dentist hold me down, he proceeded to give me the numbing liquid that was in the needles, and told me "shut up your scaring the children". My mother was told nothing of what happened.

We have been going here for years. The building is beautiful and the staff has been nice. However, recently we have been having issues with our children's dental health not being a priority. My daughter needed to be sedated to get work done and they said the soonest they could do this was 6 weeks later. So we waited the 6 weeks and then discovered the tooth had gotten so much worse that the tooth needed to be pulled. Then this week my son's filling fell out (the one they put on 2 months ago) so I called and made an emergency appointment. They knew on the phone call it was a missing filling and they did not tell me they wouldnt fix it in that appointment they called it an emergency appointment. Now today they claim its just a consult appointment and will not replace the filling without setting up a separate appointment. We live an hour and a half away and cannot just go back a little later. They should have been clear with us on the phone or set aside more time in this consult appointment as I told them exactly what happened. This is the second time in 2 months I'm bringing my child home without important dental work completed and with a young child in pain.

This is the first time bringing my 3 boys and I have to say I was very impressed. Everyone was extremely nice and did an excellent job making the experience enjoyable for my boys ; so much so that my 9 year old and 5 year old were asking when they were going to be able to come back. Thank you for making our visit an enjoyable one.

My little guy who is 12 has previous medical conditions and a very strong oral aversion. He also suffers from medical PTSD from years of traumatic hospitalizations. He was absolutely terrified and refused to get out of the car. Lorraine came out to our car and reassured my son and was compassionate and caring. We got him in and Dr.John was phenomenal with him as well! I would absolutely recommend this facility to any child and children with special medical concerns. A+

We are so lucky to have found this amazing resource for our children! My daughter has (unfortunately) needed to get cavities filled twice now and there was no issue getting her to go back because they did such a good job the first time. They tell the child what to expect before each step and show them the equipment. Everyone is friendly and the space is beautiful. I am honestly just jealous that I cannot be a patient.
