Niloofar Mofakhami, DDSknown to her patients as Dr. Niloois proud to serve the community in which she grew up. She attended Mosby Woods Elementary School, Luther Jackson Middle School, and Oakton High School. After graduating as valedictorian from OHS, Dr. Niloo attended the University of Virginia, where she studied biology and religious studies. She graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and completed her two-year postdoctoral training (residency) in pediatrics at the Childrens National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Her goal of becoming a dentist since the age of 10 was finally achieved! Prior to opening her own practice in 2005, Dr. Niloo practiced pediatric dentistry in McLean and Reston. Dr. Niloo is a Diplomate of the American Board Pediatric Dentistry, which means she is a board certified pediatric dentist. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is fluent in English, Farsi, and French. Dr. Niloo lives in Oakton with her husband (Matt), her two sons, and her dog. Her interests include hiking, traveling (especially to different ballparks around the country), watching movies, studying different cultures and languages, community service, and watching her boys play baseball and basketball. She is a proud sponsor of Vienna Little League.
Dr. Nora Abdel-rahim joined our CDO team in September 2021. Dr. Nora grew up in Tampa, FL and received her degree in dentistry from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, GO GATORS. She then completed her general practice dental residency at Bronx Care Hospital followed by her pediatric dental residency training at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York. It is during her stay in New York that Dr. Nora became a foodie, always looking for something new and exotic to eat.After residency she settled in Oakton, Virginia with her husband (Mahmoud) and now 1 year old boy. Dr. Nora is excited to be a part of our community where she hopes to provide preventive care in a fun and relaxing environment. During her free time, you can find Dr.Nora trying different restaurants, baking as much as possible and enjoying time with her family.
Jennifer has always had a passion for dentistry. She brings more than 30 years of experience to the team, which allows her to assist and advise in almost every facet of the practice. She has been with Childrens Dentistry of Oakton since 2007. She considers watching, listening, and playing with children as a perk of her job and can think of no better way to spend the day. Jennifer is married and has two grown sons and four lovely grandchildren (plus a parrot named Connor). She enjoys spending her free time shooting nature photography, gardening, and watching the national pastime of baseball with her family.
Rocio is originally from Peru and has lived in Northern Virginia since 2002. She is a graduate of Oakton High School and the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene program. She speaks both English and Spanish fluently and has been a great asset to Dr. Niloos team since 2007. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Kristy has been part of our dental team since 2009. She is a graduate of Robinson Secondary School and the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene program. She was born and raised in Fairfax but currently resides in Midland with her family. She is a busy mom of three boys, one girl, two American bulldogs, a cat, and several chickens. She enjoys the outdoors, visiting the beach, and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
Kristina was born in Charleston, SC, and raised in Fairfax, VA. She lives with her fianc and two kids. She has been part of our team since 2016. Kristina is a graduate of Robinson Secondary School and takes classes at Northern Virginia Community College to prepare her for dental hygiene school. She likes the outdoors, hiking, bike riding, and spending time with her family.
Monica was born in South Korea but has lived in Northern Virginia since 2006. A graduate of Westfield High School and the University of Virginia, Monica is preparing for dental school while gaining experience as a dental assistant at Childrens Dentistry of Oakton. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing with her puppy, and spending time with friends and family.
Krystal is originally from North Carolina but moved to the area from North Dakota in 2020. Her husband is in the Air Force and they have a 2 year old daughter to keep them busy. Krystal has an A.A.S in American Sign Language. In her free time she enjoys exploring the DMV with her family, trying new restaurants and teaching her daughter ASL.

We love Dr. Niloo and her staff! All 9 of my kids have been going to Children's Dentistry of Oakton since they were little. They are always patient and care about each and every child and their families. Dr. Niloo and her staff are continuously learning new ways to better care for their patients. I can't say enough good things about this office. And for those of you with multiple children, they are willing to schedule all my kids at one time.

Dr. Nora and the entire staff are amazing!! I really appreciated that they listened to my concerns prior to the appointment and then treated my child with the utmost care. They eased my child's anxieties and made it a very positive experience. I also really like that they have separate rooms for treatment. My child and I appreciate not discussing personal matters in an open room full of dentist chairs. It really gives the feel of a more personal experience. I'm so grateful to have finally found a great dentist for my child. Thank you!

My daughter was referred to Dr Niloo but our dentist for the fitting of crowns. Due to my daughters medical condition she had to be treated fairly quickly. Dr Niloo and her staff have been nothing but amazing and supportive. She is so gentle with kids it's unbelievable! Thank you

Dr. Mofakhami and her staff are awesome! They are always willing to help and take time to discuss concerns. We have been going to Oakton Smiles for the past 11 years and my kids love Dr. Mofakhami and her team. She is thorough and ensures we have great care. I'm sad my 2 elder children will have to go to General Dentistry. We highly recommend Children's Dentistry of Oakton :) You won't be disappointed!

We are new patients and couldn't be happier. Dr. Niloo is lovely, warm, and (most important) extremely competent. And the stellar Ms. Jennifer at the front desk played with my little one while my big one was in the dentist's chair. It was practically like being at a spa for me! Dr. Niloo is a great pediatric dentist. She has a really good way of interacting with kids and helping with anxiety and she is very responsive. We had a dental emergency scare recently and she came and met us at her office in the early morning on a Sunday for an impromptu appointment. Her office staff are friendly and helpful as well.
