Everyone has a smile! A smile makes you feel good about yourself. Hello, I am Dr. Lara Kirstin Holly, and my mission is to bring a smile to everyone who comes to our offices. My parents taught me that hard work, honesty, open-mindedness, and a passion for your career will always build relationships.

I grew up on the East Coast alongside my younger brother. We learned teamwork throughout our time working on the family farm. While growing up, I enjoyed playing sports like field hockey and lacrosse. I also enjoyed watching Baltimore Orioles baseball games. I have worn many alumni jerseys, from Rutgers Scarlet Knights (undergraduate degree) to the Tufts Jumbos (dental school).

As an adult, I have spent most of my life living in Dallas. Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M University, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and Childrens Medical Center Dallas were my homes away from home during my pediatric dental residency and fellowship. I now enjoy professional membership in numerous local, state, national, and international dental health academics and organizations.

I enjoy family time and marveling at my children growing up. We have a wanderlust for travel, sometimes personal and other times professional. Mission work has taken our family from serving in Dallas to Costa Rica.

I am proud to be a patron member of the Lake Highlands Chapter of the National Charity League, alongside of my Tick-Tocker daughters. Their mission is to foster the mother-daughter relationship thru philanthropy, community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences.

I grew up in Plano, and attended Prince of Peace Christian School. I went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. I earned my dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry and continued on to receive my specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry, Childrens Medical Center, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. During my schooling, I become aware of my passion for teaching and mentoring.

As a pediatric dentist, I have the opportunity to foster positive attitudes toward dental health in children by providing care in a safe and friendly environment. The best parts of my day are when I get to laugh and sing with my patients!

I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Dental Association, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, and Dallas County Dental Society.

Outside of the office, I spend my time volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Dallas Junior League, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. I enjoying staying involved with my church, cooking, Pilates, reading, and playing with my dog, Charles.

I grew up on my familys ranch in the small east Texas town of Wills Point, where my family has been active members of the community for more than a hundred years. My wife and I are high-school sweethearts and we have three beautiful children. I am a diehard Texas A&M Aggies fan!

I attended Baylor College of Dentistry for dental school as well as for my pediatric dental residency. I am a board-certified pediatric dentist and I am also on staff at Childrens Medical Center Dallas.

I am a big advocate for childrens healthcare needs, both in Austin and in Washington, DC. I earned the prestigious AAPD Harris Fellowship for my research to improve advocacy efforts for our nations children and I continue to strive to provide a stronger voice for those unheard. I love being able to help kids have the best dental experience possible and enjoy tailoring to each childs individual needs.

A bit about me: I grew up on both coasts and called California home before relocating to Dallas. My husband and I both hold masters degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary, and spend our spare time in discipleship and ministry. My passion is womens ministry. I have a particular interest in supporting Daya, an organization in Houston for victims trying to break free from domestic violence.

I am a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. I have more than 20 years of clinical experience with childrens dentistry. I served as part-time faculty at the Baylor College of Dentistry (now Texas A&M) for nine years, and currently help prepare pediatric dental residents for board certification. I also serve on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as an examiner, and oversee a team of examination writers.
