At Childrens Dentistry of Lincoln, Dr. Tom Milius and our team understand the impact we have on our patients lives. We take that responsibility seriously and are devoted to providing each child with comfortable, laughter-filled visits!
We have served Lincolns families since 2010 and built a reputation as a practice that cares. Since we treat infants, children, teens, and young adults, we provide advanced, personalized dental solutions, designed to help each patient achieve their healthiest smile!
As a father, Dr. Milius understands a parents concerns and desires: he and our team listen to and engage with parents and caregivers to learn what they expect and want. Because were a family-friendly practice, we welcome parents into the treatment areas and encourage their questions and participation.
Our team at Childrens Dentistry of Lincoln is skilled at connecting with children in a loving and caring manner. Its not unusual to find one, or more, of us crouched down chatting with a little one, offering encouragement and reassurance. We are patient, kind, and compassionate; we take time to help children feel at ease in our space!
A large part of our practice is focused on prevention and education. It is important for families to understand the role oral health plays in overall wellness, and how best to maintain and keep a healthy mouth. We want our patients to grow up with good dental hygiene habits, so they enjoy a lifetime of great smiles.
Each of us understands the need to communicate in a clear, non-judgmental, and encouraging manner. We use kid-friendly terms and a Show-Tell-Do approach for procedures. At the same time, we help parents understand what we are going to do and answer all their questions.
Dr. Tom Milius became certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2008. He finished his pediatric dentistry specialty training at the UNMC College of Dentistrys postgraduate residency program in 2006. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Nebraska, and upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Award.
Before his dental education, Dr. Milius completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in 2000. At Nebraska, he was a member of the football team. He also belongs to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association, and Lincoln District Dental Association.
Throughout his training, Dr. Milius has been very involved in the community. He has actively participated in various childrens health fairs and schools throughout the city of Lincoln and Omaha to encourage good oral health. During his residency, Dr. Milius was a member of the Boys Town National Research Craniofacial Team. He presented research at the annual American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry meeting.
He participated in Give Kids a Smile Dental Days at the College of Dentistry in Lincoln and Alliance, Nebraska, during which free dental work is donated to underprivileged children. He has participated in many youth speaking engagements, as well as youth mentoring programs. He has also been involved in coaching youth sports.
Dr. Milius was raised in Lincoln. He is married to Kimberly. Together they have three children: Nolan, Lily, and Maclain. He enjoys sports, spending time outdoors, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Kaynan is married to Andrew, has a beautiful daughter named Bexley, and has two dogs, Oliver and Emmet. Kaynan enjoys spending time with her family and taking Oliver and Emmet on walks. She is a big fan of mac and cheese.
Lindseys favorite thing about working at CDoL is hearing how well each kids visit goes even if the patient is nervous at first. You may hear Lindsey laughing a lot at our office because that is her favorite activity.
Lindsey is married to Miles, and they have a Golden Retriever named Watson. Lindsey and Miles also have chickens that keep them busy. Lindsey grew up with four sisters and really enjoys spending time with family. She is also a runner and likes to do crafts.
Amanda lives in Lincoln with her husband Taylor and their dog, Dex. In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach, or skiing in the winter. She likes to shop, dance, and work out. Her favorite food is Mexican and she loves the fall.
Nicole has two children and a dog. She likes to be active and be outdoors, especially on trips to Colorado. Nicole also enjoys yoga and listening to music. Mostly though, Nicole likes hanging out or playing games with her family and friends. Her favorite time of year is the 4th of July, and her favorite food is pizza. One fun fact about Nicole is she can speak with a lot of different accents!
Taylor likes to spend time with her boyfriend Curtis and their two dogs, Ava and Molly. When Taylor is not at our office, she likes to scrapbook. Her favorite food is breakfast food, which she really enjoys from Cracker Barrel.

Absolutely love this place. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and amazing with kids, so good that my kids are actually excited for their appointments. They're able to see multiple kids at the same time which is incredibly convenient and a huge time saver. Highly recommend this office!

My boys have been seeing Dr. Milius for years and we can't say enough good things about this office. They are great with our kids, very responsive and we are grateful to have found them. Highly recommend!

I could not be happier with the care my children received! The Dr is nice and the assistants and reception is polite and professional. I felt comfortable the whole time I was there and do did all three of my kids. They were able to see all three kids in the same day in the same open room. It was awesome and me and my kids are excited about improving our dental care routine at home with the tips and advice given to us from the Dr and assistance.

Dr. Milius and his staff are patient, kind, and so gentle with the kids! We have been coming here for over 10 years and will be sad when the day comes when they are too old for this office. Best pediatric dentist in Lincoln!

All of my kids come here. From front desk to the dental assistants to Dr. Milius himself they are all kind, patient and compassionate. They follow your child's lead when it comes to being nervous or scared. They never force them to do anything the aren't comfortable with which is super helpful as my 4 year old isn't a big fan of having her face touched especially when it comes to having her teeth brushed.

Dr. Milius and staff are the best! Our oldest had a fall around the time she was 18 months old and injured her 2 front teeth. After the traumatic event, I was afraid she would hate the dentist, but they made it very easy! We saw Dr. Milius frequently for awhile after and she always thought it was a fun outing. He always takes time to answer questions and explain everything, too. Both of our girls still love going for their cleanings!

We've been going to Dr. Milius for almost 10 years with 6 children. We've never had a bad experience. He and his entire office staff is so caring and helpful. They are also great for large families. They can get all of my children in at one time. We've never had to wait beyond our appointment time and usually we are even out off the office early. So prompt and well organized.

My kids visited today. The patience the nurses had with my son was phenomenal. My daughter said she is so excited to go back. After starting my kids at a different dental office and not being impressed with them, we were referred by our pediatrician. I could not be happier! Dr Milius is amazing at what he does, we feel lucky he chose this to be his profession. Our kids FINALLY feel comfortable at the dentist.

My kids have been coming to Children's Dentistry since they were 2 and I couldn't recommend it enough. The front office staff are helpful and kind, the hygienists/assistants are always patient with my youngest and make things exciting/are playful with my oldest. Dr. Milius always makes us feel welcome and takes the time to thoroughly explain his findings and listen to our concerns. If you have kids that have anxiety like mine, I'd highly recommend this office! They make things fun and even let the kids touch the tools so they know not to be afraid. One employee even raced my son to the prize counter after he screamed through his cleaning. A truly wonderful office full of nice people. What more could you want? :)

This dental office is absolutely amazing. I have two sons, my son who has ADHD and asks a billion questions, they are so patient and kind to him. They are understanding and answer every question with kindness and respect. I will never take my kids to any other dentistry.
