As a pediatric specialist and family man, Dr. Jeff knows how to make going to the dentist fun and easy for kids. As a college student searching for his career, Dr. Jeff found that all of his service activities gravitated toward kids and children with special needs. He found himself looking forward to events with the Special Olympics and Center for Women and Children in Crisis.
Dr. Mike loves being a pediatric dentist. Each day he leaves for work, his wonderful children inspire him to help other children. Dr. Mike strives to give all his patients an enjoyable experience. He considers his greatest achievement to be when patients leave his office beaming with joy.
'I spend a lot of time with my wife and kids doing an array of activities; beekeeping, gardening, kayaking and to me it 's a lot like what I do as a pediatric dentist. When kids come to see me I just want to take their energy or anxiety and turn it into something really fun and easy.'
Our practice follows the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation that children should see a dentist by their first birthday or 6 months after the first tooth arrives. This is important for the child and the parent to establish a dental home, discuss ways to prevent tooth decay, and establish good dietary and oral hygiene habits. Our goal is for all children to be cavity free at three years old.
