Dr. Stout grew up in La Porte, Texas and graduated from La Porte High School. She received her BS in zoology from Texas A&M University and her DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She also completed a post graduate program in pediatric dentistry from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Dr. Stout practiced general dentistry from 1980 to 1983 for the U.S. Public Health Service in Harlingen, TX. She joined our staff in 1986 and has been practicing pediatric dentistry ever since. Dr. Stout enjoys walking in charity 5ks, volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, gardening outdoors, and helping children on dental mission trips. She is a very involved member of her church and has two adult daughters. One of her daughters is in dental school and the other is a dentist too!
Dr. Stout proudly practices as a Diplomat of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certifies pediatric dentists based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience requisite to the delivery of quality patient care.
Dr. Tutt grew up in La Porte, TX and received a four-year academic scholarship to attend the University of Houston where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors. She completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health and Science Center School of Dentistry in Houston. She was inspired to be a dentist by her own pediatric dentist, her mom, Dr. Stout! Dr. Tutt enjoys volunteering with Texas Mission of Mercy, the Give Kids a Smile program, and doing dental mission trips with Dr. Stout. Beyond dentistry, she enjoys playing the violin, baking, yoga, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Tutt is currently participating in a lifelong commitment to continuing education and staying current in the advancements of quality dentistry by pursuing a Fellowship in General Dentistry. She is proud to join Dr. Stouts practice as she has a passion for helping adolescents and teenagers achieve and maintain great oral health.

Rude front desk! She hung up on me after giving her the info on one of kids needing his teeth checked. I am glad I found out what experience this was going to be before I invested time, money and effort into this place. Taking my money and 5 kids elsewhere!

The entire staff and Dr. Stout are amazing. They were able to get my son in after an accident within 30 minutes, extremely happy with his visit and will continue bringing my children here!

Dr. Stout and the entire staff at Children's Dentistry are AMAZING!!! From the moment you enter the office your are greeted with a smile and treated with kindness and respect. The kids always look forward to their visits and can't wait to go back. I can't say enough good things about this place. Dr. Stout and her staff aren't just the best children's dental office in Pasadena, they are the best in this world! Would highly recommend!

I'm very disappointed with this office because I was happy to find Dr. Stout in our network. I called the office to make an appointment for my son and was told to change his main dentist to Dr. Stout, which I completely understood. I called our insurance immediately to do so. I waited a week to get his new card in the mail and called the office back to make an official appointment. They said we were ready to go and scheduled the appointment. The day before his appointment they called and said Dr. Stout was not on his insurance card, which was very frustrating because I had the card right in front of me and it had Dr. Stout as the main dentist. The receptionist told me to call MEDICAID (our insurance) and ask for a reference number, because she claimed Dr. Stout was not on the card. I immediately called MEDICAID for the reference number she asked for, MEDICAID gave me the reference number and I called the office back and they said "great, we'll see y'all tomorrow". I got a call the day of my son's appointment and they said the reference number was correct but said Dr. Stout was still not on the card. At this point I was really annoyed, because MEDICAID told me three times that Dr. Stout IS his main dentist. I went ahead and just cancelled the appointment overall because the whole thing was just super irritating. Now, I gotta call MEDICAID once again and change the dentist because this place was so difficult and unhelpful, it's not even worth the trouble anymore.

My child absolutely LOVED Dr Jean and the entire staff. He said can this be my new dentist. I want to keep coming back here. Everyone is so nice. That's from the mouth of a babe. Five stars team!!!

Called to set up and appointment for my Daugther Catalina. She had to be seen sooner and they were able to get her in within that week instead. I'm very happy I found a great dentist I feel comfortable with. The staff was friendly & professionals and Dr. Stout was very patient and informative. The wait wasn't long at all.

I've been going to children's dentistry for the past seven years! My 6 month old just started going to children's dentistry, with dr. Stout. I love the environment they have! It's consistent, friendly and warm. Highly recommend!

Our first visit was amazing. The staff was so nice, the check ups were quick. The kids were very comfortable going by themselves for x-rays. The Dr's recommendations for treatment were fair and didn't seem over the top for my kids.

I cant say enough about these Doctors!! I love how after each appointment they will call you back and explain their findings and if any course of action !! My teenagers don't mind going to dentist. That says a lot !!

Dr. Stout has been so good with my daughter's. She has been their dentist since they were itty bitty. We make the drive from Seabrook to her every time and will continue to do so as she is the best!

Friendly staff, Dr. Stout is very gentle and she makes sure that all your questions are answered. My oldest used to be scared of the dentist and ever since she's came into Dr.Stout office she's lost that fear. Great office I definitely recommend!
