Dr. Lisa West is a pediatric dentist practicing in the Paulding County / West Cobb County area. Dr. Lisa is a native of Georgia, as is her husband of over 20 years. Dr. Lisa began her undergraduate studies at Mercer University in Macon, GA. She excelled, and was among those exceptional students who are accepted into Dental School after their junior year of college.
Upon beginning dental school at The Medical College of GA in Augusta, Dr. Lisa West, again was among the top students in her class. After completing her studies and graduating The Medical College of GA, School of Dentistry, as a General Dentist. Dr. Lisa decided to continue her dental studies in the area of Pediatric Dentistry.
She began and completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in a highly demanding setting, treating hundreds and hundreds of pediatric and special needs patients over the course of an additional 2 years. This residency provided Dr. Lisa with the opportunity to learn the spectrum of the typical to the rare. Her cases ranged from the average child with no cavities to extremes such as treatment of children that had undergone such procedures as organ transplants, bone marrow transplants, cancer treatment, as well as child and adult physically and mentally challenged patients. Dr. Lisa comes from a dental school and residency that equipped her to deliver the best in todays standard of care for pediatric patients.
During her residency Dr. Lisa had her first child. She now is the happy mother of seven children, (yes seven) ranging from college aged, down to elementary school aged. She truly loves children. Most parents would say she was made for this career.
Dr. Lisa West is distinctly trained, exceptionally experienced over 20 years, competent, and very direct in her approach to dentistry. Her focus is on the complete child, treating each child as she would her own, and doing what is best for each child. She operates strictly by the book and is appreciated for her straightforward approach to dental health. She keeps her office organized and efficient and maintains her practice of dentistry at the highest possible level. She truly offers a unique experience in the field of Pediatric Dentistry.

I have been taking my kids to Dr. West for many years. I always bring siblings into the waiting room. Parents are allowed to go back with children during cleanings. Top notch staff, wonderful results.

We have been going their for years and love the dentist. Unfortunately her staff is not the best. We stopped going because they wanted me to leave my 10 yr old in the car unaccompanied while my 6 year old got a check up. Covid precautions are not an issue but you cant endanger children in the process.

My 6 year old and I love Dr. West and all of her amazing staff. My son actually asks me when he gets to go to the dentist and how much longer will it be. He is so excited to go to Dr. West's office! They do a thorough job and obviously are excellent at making children feel safe and even excited to be there. Dr. West always talks to me after each appointment and goes into detail of what they saw and what I need to be doing as a parent. I would not take my child anywhere else.

USELESS PRACTICE!!! My 3 year old daughter, suffered a trauma to her two front teeth and they refused to establish her as a new patient. Would only see her for an initial cleaning and teeth exam. Stated they were unable to "to see her for her trauma." However, they were able to ask if I had insurance to cover the visit. What a Thoughtless establishment.

My kids have been going to Dr. West for several years. My oldest has had a couple procedures with them as well, beyond cleanings. My kids are timid and shy but have always felt comfortable in this office. The staff are all so friendly, and Lisa is great at explaining things and offering up tips to help. We have never had to wait longer than just a couple minutes to get to the back either. Highly recommend this office.

If I could give this place 0 star, I would. Moved to the area in late 2018, and took both of my kids for a cleaning... then, oh they wanted to do some work on my 9 years old. Some nicely billed expensive work. Anyhow, went to a different location to get a second opinion, and we cancelled our second appointment. Again, avoid or they will try to charge you for anything.

I went here as a child. I will not even begin to tell you the experience I had. Traumatic, is an understatement. Please do your kids a favor and not take them here. I'm 26 now and I still think about this.

IF you are looking for a dentist for your children look NO further! Our children have been patients of Dr. West for over 20 years we LOVE her! She is a mother of 7 kids and treats our children as if they are her own. The staff creates a warm, caring atmosphere and are extremely helpful. It will be a sad day when our last child graduates from college and we have to leave her practice.
