Dr. Mark Nelson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah before attending the University of Oklahoma for dental school. He graduated from dental school in 1982 and completed his pediatric residency at Oregon Health Science University in 1984. He then returned to Utah and has been practicing in theDavis Countyarea since that time. As a pediatric dentist, his goal is to provide the best possible experience for both children and parents, and to treat each child he meets the way that their parents want them to be treated.
Dr. Nelson completes continuing education courses each year to remain up-to-date with the latest treatment techniques. He completed a post-graduate certification in Orthodontics through the American Straight Wire Orthodontic Association in 1985, and in 1991 became a board-certified pediatric dentist through the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Additionally, he served as the Program Direction of Pediatric Dental Residency at Primary Childrens Hospital from 1991-1994. He is also an Operation Smile TeamPediatric Dentistand has traveled all over the world to provide pediatric and orthodontic care to children.
Dr. Treagan White grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Dillingham, Alaska. He moved to Utah when he enrolled at Utah State University to study Business Administration and Chemistry. After earning his degree he moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa for dental school. While there, he met his wife who played on the University of Iowa Womens Soccer team.
They continued on in Iowa City when Dr. White was accepted into the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Pediatric Dentistry Program. This residency is considered one of the top pediatric dental programs in the country and has a focus on pediatric behavior management, treatment of individuals with special needs, hospital dentistry, sedation dentistry, and orthodontics.
