Welcome to Childrens Dental of Saint George and Cedar City, Utah! Come in and enjoy our offices built just for kids. Kids are free to explore our Old West-style playhouses. They can watch a movie or play with interactive video games while you wait. It's your turn. Kids have their own personal entrance. Picture time!
Kid-friendly digital X-rays are the way to go! Kids can watch a movie while getting their teeth cleaned in our open bay area. There are places to play here too. Siblings welcome! Private rooms are used if additional dental treatment is needed. All finished! Time to pick out a book and balloon! Well see you next time.
Our staff is specially trained to work with kids and our office is designed to be as kid-friendly as possible. We make getting your child the dental care they need as easy as possible. Call our Saint George office at 435-673-7776 or our Cedar City office at 435-586-6555.
Joined the team in 2008 right after we moved into our Saint George office. She grew up in Hurricane, Utah. You will find Abby mostly working as a dental assistant, unless you are in the Saint George office early in the morning for a conscious sedation, she will usually be the first face you see checking in patients then.
Joined the team in 2011. Autumn is primarily found at our Cedar City office and is the insurance guru there. She joined the team when she moved back to Southern Utah after being in Boston and working for Aspen Dental for over 10 years.
Joined the team in July 2009. Currently in the pre-dental program at Dixie State College. Curtis has two cute little girls and is an amazing assistant. We often have patients who request him when they come in. He is a huge help to all of our Spanish-speaking patients.
Joined the team in September 2013. Danny came to us after graduating high school in Las Vegas. She has truly been homegrown in our office by getting her assisting training from Dr. Scholzen and the other staff members here at Children's Dental. Danny is also one of our Spanish-speaking assistants!
Joined the team in 2011. Darrell is the office manager at our Cedar City location. However, you will often find him out at all of the events in the community. Most know him from his previous banking experience in the Cedar City area and from his involvement with the Chamber of Commerce.
Joined the team spring 2009. Jessica has three little boys and although she moved here from Michigan, she grew up in Utah. She was an easy fit for our office, with her Spanish-speaking skills and her previous dental assisting experience.
Joined the team in March on 2012. Jessica is originally from Northern Utah and completed a Dental Assisting school in Lehi. Jessica took a quick sabbatical to move home and get married and then she and her husband moved back to St. George to start their married life together.
Nick is a full-time paramedic in Hurricane. However, prior to being offered a full-time position with the city, he was a full-time dental assistant at our office for over 3 years. He still makes an appearance now and then, when his schedule will allow him to come and help and when we need him.
Jimmy has been off and on with us since we opened in September 2007. He took some time off to play pro baseball. However, when his career was cut short due to injuries, he came back and joined us full time as a dental assistant. He recently was accepted into the nursing program at the University of Utah so will be with us less and less, however, we will welcome him to come back and work whenever we can because he is so good with the kids.

We love Children's Dental! The staff is always friendly and engaged with our children. Appointments are easy to make or reschedule, and they send multiple friendly reminders so even a scatter brain remember. Staff is aware of special needs and do anything to make the little ones experience better. Doctor Scholzen is the BEST DENTIST EVER!

It's after 5:00 my daughter gets a tooth knocked out and they still allow me to bring her in no appointment emergency visit they were great

Children's Dental takes all the drama out of taking your child to the dentist. Very friendly dentists and assistants that have definitely found their calling. Highly recommend!

They were able to fit me in quickly! The office staff are very friendly and helpful through the whole appointment. They did a great job explaining what would happen so I knew what to expect. I had 2 young children both getting their teeth cleaned for the first time and they were helpful with the other child when it wasn't their turn to get their teeth cleaned. I was impressed by Dr. Scholzen, who was very good with my littles and tried to keep them happy while he worked on them. I also love that they get a balloon and a book at the end! Definitely made it a great first experience for for my kids. I highly recommend Children's Dental!

Front office personnel greated me with a hello and was very nice. They gave me a lot of paperwork to fill out which is kind of hard with a 1 year old. There really should be a form to fill out online before your visit. But the hygienist came back and offered to carry some of my things which was very kind. They had a nice little room that was private for their first few visits until they graduate into the bigger area. The hygienist explained everything fully before the dentist arrived. The dentist was very kind and was very good with kids from what I could see. It was painless and quick. He answered all my questions fully and quickly (so he knew his stuff). Setting up the next appointment was quick and easy. They gave him a balloon and a toothbrush but I wish they'd do a first time award type of thing. Like had a cute paper that had the date, time, dentist and hygienist. And something personal that they saw that was cute or something. The front office is setup fpr kids to be occupied which is good and they even have a little door for the kids to go through when they get called. Overall it was a very good experience.

My daughter loved Childrens Dental!! She told me I better give it all the stars I can give it lol. Everyone was soo nice! My daughter gets nervous sometimes being in new situations and the staff made her feel very comfortable! She loved the fact that she could watch a movie while they worked on her teeth. The girls were so sweet and she really like the doctor. He was very nice and funny! He made her feel special and important because he focused all of the questions on her instead of asking me. She especially liked that they gave her a balloon and she got to pick out a book after her appt. I will be recommending Childrens dental to everyone. I wish they worked on adults! I would totally go for myself!! Thank you Childrens Dental for being AWESOME!
